I didn’t talk much about Tecna in this video given I was so focused on what was kept in Fate. However, her exclusion is important to talk about, especially given how many fans interpreted her as an autistic-coded character, and even her as a feminine but geeky person whose interest in technology was what made her strong. As someone who isn’t autistic, I don’t feel qualified to talk about Tecna’s autistic coding in depth, but it’s something important that I wanted to bring awareness to, and will make sure to mention in future Winx Club content.
I doubt that's the case, she just wasn't expressing her emotions, her home world is all about perfection, maximum efficiency, but she very quickly started to open up and show a lot of emotion. But they didn't involve any magically fused technology iirc. All they did was use phones to mention stuff like Instagram, what will Tecna do in this world, fix bloom's laptop? I think they just tried to mix together earth and "the other world" as much as possible and just forget about the flying jets, magical phones, etc and make it as simple as it gets thus no longer needing such fairy i guess.
As an autistic person, I can say that seeing Tecna coded as such is more than valid. However, the more I think about it, the more it seems like a relief that she wasn't included in Fate's first season. With only six episodes, and all the drama and hostility going on, it would have likely been way too much for someone on the spectrum to handle. Especially since no other characters seemed qualified to act as that kind of support. And that's assuming the writers could handle character so complex while simultaneously building and establishing everything and everyone else. With Bloom and the others officially being friends now and having each other's backs, it seems more doable. But I wouldn't hold my breath.
I was super upset with what they did to Bloom and her parents. growing up as someone who was adopted I always felt like shows always have bad adoptive/foster parent and child relationships. I always loved og winx for bloom and her parents relationships because it was actually supportive and loving. The abusive adoptive parent(s) is a route so many forms of media go down and I’ve always hated it.
I loved the OG Winx because they also showed that even when you are adopted, you can still love both you're adoptive parents AND you're real parents. It's not one or the other, it's a healthy relationship where both pairs of parents can love their child and talk to each other.
@Justin MiawKanyan Me too I grew up with the 4 kids version of Winx Club when I watched it when I was younger it's the version that introduced me to the series.
Now this I could get behind on! Or Moon Stella is Sun Stella's twin sister disguised as her good twin and entered the school. Now that she is so deep in the lie with everyone and opened up to them, she doesn't want to admit who she really is until next season Sun Stella, who lives with their father, enters the academy causing confusion.
aisha becoming a mammie-type character cuts deep, especially considering that one of her major arcs in the cartoon was that *she* was the one that had to learn to accept friends and cope with her loneliness. black girls are often expected to always be strong and support others no matter the cost by society so aisha's fleshed out storyline was a breath of fresh air.
Why is everything a "mammie-type"? Being supportive are not the same thing. Like what they did to Aisha isn't ok but that doesn't make it the same thing.
@@Arella17 yes and? I said it was bad but that doesn't mean it fits that specific problematic stereotype. I mean it's not 'good' or 'mammie' what a disgusting and toxic way of thinking, unless you can actually show it is that stereotype.
@@nahte123456 I think what they’re getting at with the "mammie" argument is that Aisha does nothing in the show but essentially dote on Bloom. Trying to be her friend while Bloom continues to be insufferable, and she has nothing going for her beyond that. Even the one instance where she _does_ go against Bloom (telling the teachers that Bloom is trying to free Rosalind, a _war criminal_ from what they all know), she gets antagonized as if she's doing the wrong thing in that situation. She isn't an exact mammie, more like the supportive token black friend who's there only to prop up the main white lead and have the cast look diverse so casting can't be called racist. It's still a complete and utter downgrade from OG Aisha though.
@@tama3162 and that's fair but mixing criticism only weakens arguments. By making a false claim you make the actual arguments weaker. It's far easier to say this comment is racist for considering any sort of supportive black woman a "mammie" and avoid the actual problems then it would be for arguing that Aisha isn't an effective character and why she's problematic.
She never was and frankly i dont really like Roxy. She is a slight mary sue tbh but i wouldnt mind if she was apart of the winx or got enchantix or something. Tbh Roxy is overrated i dont see what isnsooo godly about her but still 😂😂
They also wanted Bloom to be a fish out of the water yet for some reason everyone in the otherworld has instagram and know all about earth pop references. Just... why?
Stella and another character I don't remember referenced America multiple times.... It truly does feel like they're just in "Magical Britain". No way that this is a different realm
i’m so miffed they didn’t just create an otherworld equivalent of instagram and pop culture stuff instead. that’s the kind of stuff that makes these types of fantasy stories fun imho and would’ve added a lot world building and characterization wise (for bloom at least)
i have a theory: what if flora (terra's cousin) was the flora in the original show? like flora got accepted into the animated alfea (the good one) and studies there with the characters we know and love, while terra failed the entrance exam and got sent to shitty alfea where she meets riverdale characters
If fairies in this series "evolve", then please, PLEASE make that an excuse to bring in Tecna. A new type of magic for something that previously didn't exist. A chance for a new storyline, an outcast to her own kind, and can use unprecedented abilities to outwit and undermine the antagonists.....Bah, who am I kidding? These writers aren't that creative.
Sorry that would require a character that is not called Bloom to have any sort of character depth so its not going to happen x (its a really cool idea tho maybe we should just write the show ourselves)
Since we are officially getting a season 2 here’s what I’m hoping for: -some actual fashion moments -Aisha getting an actual plot for herself -the appearance of Hispanic flora -maybe a fully Asian actress cast as Tecna since nothing can be done about Musa now. (Read comments below for discussion on if this would be okay or not. Representation should never be an afterthought or a corrected mistake. If Tecna appears in the next season it would be nice to see her character given a diverse casting in some way.)
If they make Tecna Asian, I have mixed feelings about it (Chinese Canadian here) because the "Asian genius" is a stereotype and also something pushed on some Asian youth growing up (like me), leading to a lot of anxiety over things in our life.
29:05 Crazy thing is, someone actually made an animated version of LA Bloom's transformation, and it looks great. You can actually tell that her wings are wings and not flaming farts that vaguely look like wings.
Stella isn't my favorite character but her portrayal in this probably hurt the most (of all the represented characters) besides Aisha...which is probably a tie.
As someone who grew up with Winx Club I couldn't stop laughing at this show, it was just hilarious to me. Diaspro basically became Stella for some reason, The Trix were turned into 1 person aka Beatrix, not a bad idea , kind of a decent villain / character IMO compared to everyone else the others were so basic and bland. The specialists are so watered down it's actually kinda sad from the chest kitchen knives to them being slaughtered left right & center and the awful costumes (not only theirs). I just don't get why everything has to get Riverdale'd. Also, I really miss Techna and all the technology in general. At least they almost got Riven right but he too has the Riverdale fever. But forreal if OG Stella saw the costume's design she would blind herself immediately.
@@Hi-ky2wd yea i forgot all the nasty remarks by him but overall at least he's not as boring as the rest that were copy pasted from every generic team drama ever

I hated how self-serving and bratty Bloom was. Why on earth would we want to be on her side? Plus she was so passive aggressive most of the time🤣 Stop with the angsty I'm NoT LIkE OthER GiRlS and make her sweet but with conflict and a temper. Writers- it IS possible to make someone multi dimensional. Not 'I'm an angsty teen and this is my whole personality.
Bloom is a complicated character not in a sense. Where she multi dimensional, but as in she either both good and bad in the cartoon series because while she does have her badass moments. But I always feel like her personality doesn't have much layers. People accuse Bloom for being a mary sue but I kinda have to disagree because in the cartoon Bloom has her moments where she is vulnerable and she learn from her mistakes and she actually work together with the other girls in order to defeat the bad guys. However, Bloom personality has only two traits, Bloom is a sweetheart but gets angry easily that it.
@@littlemurdermachine6646 Yeah, I don't think that Bloom is a Mary Sue either. The world doesn't exactly bend to her will so she's more of a poorly written character
I just wish people could understand that teens is not all about edginess, drugs and sex.I get it that there are teens who do those things but the tropes are so overused and it's tiring to see them again and again Honestly the idea of making a Winx live action is not bad and could be done really well if they tried, such a wasted opportunity to bring 2000's fashion back. They don't have to make them wear bras and shorts but they could have tried to keep the original color pattern,it hurts looking at Bloom wearing all red because "FiRe fAiRyyy!1!1!" Or Aisha wearing all blue cuz "WOtAh FaeRieee" Don't get me started with the whitewashing... And the aesthetic Even tho I like dark academia/royalcore aesthetic,it's something that does not fit Winx. When I think of Winx I think of: bright colours, fashion, glitter, friendship, futurism I don't think of stuff that come out from Harry Potter or something like that.Adding futurism in the og Winx was a good idea and created a unique aesthetic,I really hoped that they would add more futuristic elements in there other than instagram or phones. It's probably the reason why they didn't add Techna? Anyways the only good thing I liked about this is that guys can be fairies too and girls can be specialists too, other than that the series itself is unoriginal and I wouldn't recommend it to someone who loved the og Winx Club.If you know someone who likes Riverdale,Teen Wolf, Vampire Diaries then recommend them this
I am also sick of picturing LGBT people as some outcast and sexuality as a binary good and bad option. Seriously, is it too much to ask to be treated as a Person?! What's wrong with these writers?!
Doesn't seem like They are trying to but to atleast riven seems redeemable but I see your point! The 3 bisexual characters are literally the main villains 😒
@@rewriter3981 It has become a trope that if the character is gay, he is either a cliché, a twisted villain, or he dies when he has a romantic love interest. I can't remember a Single story where the character was gay and it wasn't really relevant, because they wrote a character first.
...what can you expect from the same showrunners of TVD (the same show that was unabashedly pro-Confederate and super racist to Bonnie and her actress)
I hope that this show doesn’t get a second season. We don’t need anymore of these teen shows like Riverdale that appear to be progressive but are actually regressive.

@@zeusrulez Makes sense. People love train wrecks. Why do you think shows like Keeping Up with the Kardashians or Housewives franchise keeps on going? People love messes XD
After rewatching the original series upon forcing myself to finish Fate, I appreciated how the original series treated its diversity. All of the girls were different in some unique way, and in regards to skin colour, it was just something they were. The other characters didn't care that Aisha had dark skin or that Musa was the Earth equivalent of east Asian. Sure, Bloom and Stella looked white (I say that because they're fairies not operating by Earth definitions of race), but even they were pretty different and distinguishable. And still, their skin colour didn't make them any more or less important than the others. I suppose what I found most frustrating about Fate (apart from how dirty they did the story and characters) is how they make diversity feel like this forced thing that they still did wrong. Is there an overweight character? Make sure to make the audience know she's fat by having people insult her. A person is gay? Make sure every conversation is about their gay crush that's probably straight and homophobic to add tension. Introverted or outcast character? Well, they must be constantly awkward and unpleasant in some way, but they'll learn to like their faults and probably won't learn from them because those faults make them unique. And if they do learn from their faults, make sure it's super dramatic and is basically the opposite of when you first meet them, because that's how characters grow. Characters are all different when they first meet? Make them standoffish, so that when they're friends, it's a bigger contrast to show how they've grown. God forbid people just like each other and learn more about them later on. And god forbid people just being themselves without having a tragic backstory behind every aspect of their appearance.
Whether you like Riven or not, I think we can come to an agreement that this version of Riven is worse. It's an odd phenomenon when a character in a cartoon feels more like a person than the life action counterpart.
I think the original winx club Musa couldve been an air fairy. Music and sound are made by turbulence of air after all? It could be a very cool power, so strong that it could blow people's minds. Not to mention, it would perfectly fit the canon. What a shame they didnt use the opportunity
I like that idea and maybe because she’s air there’s different levels or branches like sub elements in Avatar, that could eventually grow into her music/sound magic, or go in a direction like the Netflix series and the air powers could turn to empathy (I’m not sure how that’d work but it’s a thought)
I was more excited for this than the actual show. This is honestly alright on its own but you can tell that this show will only be popular because of where it came from. Which means that this is just riverdale: winx edition
It has nothing to do with Winx, but as a bisexual who has her sexuality invalidated almost every day for different reasons (I'm so f tired) I would like to say Thank you

While with Fate Winx Saga it's directed to us teenagers and all the show had was stupid characters with drugs and sexual tension- I'm pretty sure us Teenagers don't only want to watch that.

The actress who plays terra should’ve played Techna because of her talkative attitude and awkwardness would have worked perfectly and that would’ve helped with Techna’s autism coding in the original series
@@KhaosAdmiral not to mention a mind powers being so intrusive could help with an autistic person having a hard time understanding how people work not just cuz they are nosy but because they don’t understand social cues 🤷🏾♂️
I was thinking the same thing not too long ago. And I haven't seen it anywhere that Tecna is Autism coded. I think it would be cool but I haven't see it officially confirmed anywhere.
After the traumatic experience that was Nickelodeon's Winx club I expected them to use any opportunity to restore the show to the quality of the first 4 seasons. I guess I was wrong
Definitely agree there but then, imo, it just made all of the sex stuff that she talked about and the "because you're a guy and I'm hot" line seem REALLY awkward for me.
The issues with Aisha's writing is sadly not too surprising given one of the people on this show worked on The Vampire Diaries and that series was criticized for similar problems with Bonnie.
You know they could've done a sub-plot about Stella, Bloom, and Sky well if they did something like Stella and Sky are arranged to be married since they were the Princess of Solaria and the Prince of Eraklyon respectively and while on the surface they seem like the perfect couple, they actually don't have any feelings for each other besides friendship and in fact, Stella has feelings for Brandon, Sky's best friend who is common-born meaning they can't be together in public despite Sky being supportive of them. Enter Bloom who develops feelings for Sky which creates a lot of guilt for her since Stella is her best friend and she doesn't know that Stella and Sky don't actually have a real relationship until the middle of the season where Stella realizes Sky has fallen for Bloom and vice-versa and tells Bloom that if she really likes him then she should go for it.
Applebaum is confirmed to be a Jewish actress, for as much as that means, but judging by her last name, it does imply that she falls within a white ethnic background.
Apparently people have found in original casting notes as well, there was an intended character called Jade who very oddly sounded like Aisha's role in Fate, implying they were gonna replace Aisha as well.
Honestly hated how they made Vanessa wicked/awful just to justify Bloom almost killing her... I'm planning on re-writing it, because I want to exclude some unnecessary stuff like that pointless love triangle-
Please do Re-write and also one suggestion: Make Beatrix into original The trio of Trix and also INCLUDE TECNA and I don't mind if her power is basic electric power because at least electric has a connection with technology
😆😆😆 well... I should tell y'all what I will include: What I will include; - Musa is now a sound fairy; it's more versatile and ofc she's Asian - Sky and Stella are now childhood friends and Stella is our bi icon - Tecna and Roxy is present; they're now specialists (I have a surprise for Tecna 😏😉) - Bloom is not some weird feminist icon - Terra is now a secondary character (she's confident about her weight this time around) with Flora being back in the Winx suite - Aisha has an arc - There are more teachers and there are security guards - Riven is more of a troublemaker than a bAdBoY, and he and Beatrix are more friends than lovers? (they're lovers right?) - Sky's not generic, who claims to be nice but when Stella really needed him and yeeted her to the side for Bloom who him only met for a few days- - Dane... I like the concept of him wanting to make friends but we know little to no reason why he wants to have friends, not that he switched schools alot... bullied... nothing... I'm giving him a new storyline- - Sam is not in this version (I saw no point in his character) That's all I have for now you can tell me what else you want to see (:
So, Stella's mom is a powered crazed leader that views her child - who has a perfect balance between two very different powers - as a potential asset and puts her through immense training at a young age in order to achieve a certain? One that causes an accident where someone's eyes are damaged and the child becomes cold and distant to their classmates before befriending the main character and changing for the better? *Oh my god, they made a white, genderbent Todoroki.*
The difference is that Endeavor actually had a motivation that made sense. Jealousy. It also makes sense that one of his sons became a villain. But honestly, I wish they showed Stella getting over her trauma with help of her friends (kinda like how Todoroki did)
And why they've changed the characters colours/colour pallet to boring monochrome outfits that symbolize there elements instead of complementing there appearance and their personality.
There's a HUGE difference between making necessary changes to adapt to a different medium and then completely changing core aspects of a show to the point where the original appeal was lost and you would think it's an entirely separate thing to what it was adapting if it didn't have the title in the name. That's the problem with Fate Winx Club Saga for me. What's more,is that the 'changes' made are not all that different from what other darker and edgier reboots(Riverdale,Sabrina, etc.) are doing so it's not even interesting in that department either. It's basically just the 'let's take something that was bright and colorful and then make it muted, dull, and have blood/gore as a sign that this is more mature when it really isn't!' route. How is that beneficial for improving the base story? For me,I can't see how it does, because the characters in the show are uninteresting assholes and the plot itself doesn't make any sense or affect the characters in significant way.The changes made are surface level. They do try to make it out as if the events of the first season have made them come together as close friends, but that attempt falls flat. Why? Because in all of the previous episodes,we never see the girls grow as characters individually, come to some sort of understanding with each other, and overall develop over time to treat each other better. What I wanted was for the series to take what was already there and expand on it while adding stuff that made sense to Winx Club lore wise to make it unique. That's what PSGM(the live action SM series) did. It took some of the more unexplored or darker implications in the 90's anime/manga and turns it into brand new stories that changes how you look at the original work while still having the appeal of the original story. It's not to say the original Winx didn't have mature elements to it or NEVER had darker or mature elements. Sure,it was never focused on too much, but to say they weren't there at all would be disingenuous. Essentially,WC was a coming of age story dealing the challenges the characters faced in their years at Alfea and while it's nothing original,it was decently done. At least that's I would say for the first 4 seasons+SotLK movie. If the directors and writers had actually bothered to research the series, they probably could've caught this stuff and take what was already there and just expand on it,while adding in new lore that still makes sense for WC. I can't say what others wanted out of Fate, but PGSM is what I wanted out of it. Changing some stuff to keep a work unique is one thing, but changing it to the point where I have to wonder 'why did you bother keeping Winx Club in the title and not sell this as it's own unique IP?' is another. And Fate falls straight in the latter camp for me.
In concept, the idea of them not starting off as friends, maybe even disliking each other a bit is not a bad one. That's actually a good example of expanding on the source material a bit. But the execution was terrible. They made all of the main characters too assholish for me to sympathize with them.(sans Aisha) At the end,the writing expects you buy that the external plot has made the characters become close friends, but it fails. Because there was no work done to develop the characters and their friendship before now. Up to the final episode, all of the girls treated each other like shit. So it's not believable to me that ANY of the girls(except maybe Aisha) would care about Bloom to the point where they'd run to her rescue and risk their lives for her. And that's a failure on the writers part, among others. Even when you take the show on it's own,it still isn't that great and it didn't have Winx Club brand attached,it wouldn't have done well. Let's talk about Stella in this show. She's basically every stereotypical mean girl cliché rolled up into one character. Sure, they try to give her a sob story to make her behavior understandable, but it doesn't excuse the fact that on screen she always acts like an asshole towards others. She never has moments where she shows there's a nicer side to her that isn't forced. As an add on to the show doing an abysmal job of developing the friendship between the girls,Stella's 180 heel face turn pissed me off the most. Stella's all like, 'Yes! Please forgive me! I suddenly now feel regretful about the shit I've pulled, despite not showing any signs of this earlier.' And the girls are like 'Okay!' and just decided to be her friend with no questions or hesitation. WHY? Up to this point,Stella's done nothing for them and has acted like a bully towards them for probably months. Stella being accepted by the others feels totally unearned on her part because we never see her grow or develop to show remorse for her actions or realize how the others dislike her for it. We don't see her trying to change to be a better person. We don't see her apologize to her others for her shitty behavior or try to make up for it. If the show had any kind of half-decent writing, the believable response would've been for the others to tell her to fuck off.
the reason I liked stella is because even though she was a "mean girl" she wasn't mean. She was opinionated and spoke her mind but she would never truly hurt anyone. GIRL LOVE type vibe.
Im just confused about one thing regarding Beatrix. She wants revenge against the people who burned her town and killed her family, and then she is aligned with and proceeds to work for those exact same people. Just... what?
If I'm correct, Rosalind manipulated Beatrix into thinking that Farah and Terra's father intended to destroy Aster Dell while Rosalind tried to stop them, although the reality is pretty much the opposite. It's not that Beatrix works with the ones who killed her family, but with the ones who tried to save her family (in her eyes) Edit: this also can cover the reason why Rosalind got sealed. Rosalind said it was because she knows the truth and Farah tries to silence her, while in reality it's because Rosalind is a war criminal and Farah had to lock her up.

I think it's hilarious how Bloom's mom was getting angry BECAUSE HER DAUGHTER DOESN'T WANT TO GO OUT AND WOULD RATHER STAY HOME!! Meanwhile my mom gets super happy at the fact that I'm not as extroverted as my older siblings😂
I have said this multiple times and I will keep saying it, I feel like had this been branded as a darker live-action adaptation of WITCH, I think it would have been a little more tolerable, not saying it would necessarily be good, but tolerable.
I have been waiting for this, bless you Thomas Also this got renewed for a second season so let's hope they do things like fixing all the whitewashing that went on. Also, Bloom is unlikable for me because of how deliberate that "accidental" fire looked. It was a line of fire that made a 90 degree left turn towards her parents' room while she's like sitting on her bed and like intently staring into space. Bloom also describes the fire as something she let burn, so again, sounds really deliberate. Should have been a blink and everything on fire moment, not a "sitting on my bed, oh look a fire line sprang from in front of me, whoops, looks like the line is turning left, oh no I guess the the fire line actually means that everyone in my house is in danger".
Squire Brandon is Sky's squire and bodyguard, a great swordsman, and his best friend. He is also Stella's fiancée. In Season 1, he introduced himself as "Prince Sky" but his lie is later admitted, and continued to go by his real name, Brandon She and her boyfriend, Riven, have a rocky and difficult but passionate relationship. Musa is a skilled singer and musician. Music is one of the founding members of the Winx Club, being the fifth Winx girl introduced after Bloom, Stella, Flora and Tecna, and is an alumna of the Alfea College for Fairies.
Aside from the various flaws pointed out in how characters interact and lack development, I'm just sad I didn't see the Trix. They were literally my childhood icons and one of the few reasons I loved OG Winx in the first place.
The girl that plays Bloom is perfect casting tbh, she was just given nothing to work with. Honestly I think most of the actors are good, but the scripts and direction just seemed so off
They need to place Timmy and Techna in there right now🙄they could fix some ancient ship with modern technology! This easily creates more episodes in different dimensions especially a couple of episodes in Andros, Aisha’s home where they properly display black richness and her background 👍🏾
Sucks that there are no Witches in this universe. I miss my goth girls. Doesn’t help that the specialist are discount ninjas, and the world practically takes place in Artemis Fowl.
It still blows my mind that their excuse for Flora being Terra was to add diversity by having a plus sized character as if it's an either/or situation.
The fact that you managed to watch the entire series when I couldn't get past the part where sky introduces himself to bloom says a lot about your mental strength and I applaud you for it
Instead of the live action series fiasco, it would have been better if Ignio Straffi decided to go for World of Winx season 3 instead of cancelling it. WoW had more potential and was really good
I really thought they were going to have the flames burn off some of bloom's clothes in the "transformation", sort of like a partial Daenerys to end up with an approximation of her skimpy fairy outfit. But no, they couldn't even do that.
23:25 I’m a cis straight person with lbgtq+ friends, and I try to understand them and treat them as they should be treated. As people. It kinda hurt me to hear that as someone who tries to be decent to my friends who are a part of the community.
I totally agree this Part was just off and to be hontest, say something like this is discrimination. Just bc I am a cis person, I don't can understand my LGBTQ+ friends. It was a poor Statement and in this moment she was not better then any homo-,transphobic etc. Person out there.
It’s just so frustrating how Winx already had dark story elements that they could built and expand upon. But noooo, they had to make everything unnecessarily edgy, fake woke and badly written while we’re at it. I also don’t appreciate the elimination of the lightheartedness. It’s a show about fairies, I feel like it’s an element that Winx needs. Having lighthearted moments doesn’t take away from the maturity of a series, if only it provides it substance and makes the darker moments have more impact. Also, who doesn’t like to have a little bit of fun and wholesomeness? They made everything so dark, gritty and unappealing, very unbalanced. Not to mention the fact that they could have made the cast more diverse in all aspects, expanding on the great representation the original already had. Instead, they cut down on it with whitewashing and gave us fatphobic and homophobic/biphobic depictions of these characters. Additionally, they could have made it colorful and girly, that wouldn’t make it less anything. They should’ve took advantage of the fashion trends that we currently have that would fit the characters perfectly, I can’t believe they lost that golden opportunity. If they had made it this way, it could have been a satisfactory adaptation for Winx fans and also a very unique show that newcomers could enjoy. I just feel like this could have been amazing but they didn’t even care.
There’s actually a few ways they could’ve implemented the Music powers for Musa to have either make Her an Air fairy and give her sound powers or since Farrah I believe is a multi element fairy they could’ve done the same with Musa making her an Air and Mind fairy that way the music power naturally has those more empathetic routes while still acting as close to the original as it could
I didn’t talk much about Tecna in this video given I was so focused on what was kept in Fate.
Maybe the writers don't want to write a poly relationship and that's ok.
But I wouldn't hold my breath.
thanks for the mention. I forgot to think about the full original main cast as well. darn it
I never thought of that
I was super upset with what they did to Bloom and her parents. growing up as someone who was adopted I always felt like shows always have bad adoptive/foster parent and child relationships. I always loved og winx for bloom and her parents relationships because it was actually supportive and loving. The abusive adoptive parent(s) is a route so many forms of media go down and I’ve always hated it.
Yea that’s what I mainly hate about fate bloom, that and the personality switch, they made her to edgy bruh that she ain’t even relatable no more.
Thank you for bringing this up.
because those assholes always try to make adoption seem like its worse than death. i know exactly what you mean
I loved the OG Winx because they also showed that even when you are adopted, you can still love both you're adoptive parents AND you're real parents. It's not one or the other, it's a healthy relationship where both pairs of parents can love their child and talk to each other.
The crazy thing is that Mike and Vanessa weren't even abusive, Bloom was just a brat.

aisha becoming a mammie-type character cuts deep, especially considering that one of her major arcs in the cartoon was that *she* was the one that had to learn to accept friends and cope with her loneliness. black girls are often expected to always be strong and support others no matter the cost by society so aisha's fleshed out storyline was a breath of fresh air.
Why is everything a "mammie-type"? Being supportive are not the same thing.
Like what they did to Aisha isn't ok but that doesn't make it the same thing.
@@nahte123456 She has nothing to do other than stand around to make the cast look diverse and prop up Bloom.
I will never forgive for what they did to my girl Stella. They turned her into some toxic girl with no fashion sense.
I'm surprised you didn't make a Slide for Techna only to make the joke that she isn't in the series
*Tecna

I hate Stella´s clothing so much. This show made me realize Aisha was my favorite in the og
Did you see what she was wearing in the last episode 😢🤢
Beatrix was the one that looked closest to a teen and was best dressed
Definitely agree there but then, imo, it just made all of the sex stuff that she talked about and the "because you're a guy and I'm hot" line seem REALLY awkward for me.
The actress is still a teen
@@delightfulmochas Well for sure then they should have gone with younger casting for all the other characters.
That's a great idea!!!!! Way better than the entire show

Please do something about Dane because he is literally awful.
Ooh!
Let us know when the first chapter is out - I'd totally read it!
😆😆😆 well... I should tell y'all what I will include:
What I will include;
- Musa is now a sound fairy; it's more versatile and ofc she's Asian
- Sky and Stella are now childhood friends and Stella is our bi icon
- Tecna and Roxy is present; they're now specialists (I have a surprise for Tecna 😏😉)
- Bloom is not some weird feminist icon
- Terra is now a secondary character (she's confident about her weight this time around) with Flora being back in the Winx suite
- Aisha has an arc
- There are more teachers and there are security guards
- Riven is more of a troublemaker than a bAdBoY, and he and Beatrix are more friends than lovers? (they're lovers right?)
- Sky's not generic, who claims to be nice but when Stella really needed him and yeeted her to the side for Bloom who him only met for a few days-
- Dane... I like the concept of him wanting to make friends but we know little to no reason why he wants to have friends, not that he switched schools alot... bullied... nothing... I'm giving him a new storyline-
- Sam is not in this version (I saw no point in his character)
That's all I have for now you can tell me what else you want to see (:

How about Aisha and Musa being a couple?
Lesbian Icons?
So, Stella's mom is a powered crazed leader that views her child - who has a perfect balance between two very different powers - as a potential asset and puts her through immense training at a young age in order to achieve a certain? One that causes an accident where someone's eyes are damaged and the child becomes cold and distant to their classmates before befriending the main character and changing for the better?
*Oh my god, they made a white, genderbent Todoroki.*
Except Todoroki and his dad are way more complex and interesting characters than Stella and her mom.
The difference is that Endeavor actually had a motivation that made sense. Jealousy. It also makes sense that one of his sons became a villain. But honestly, I wish they showed Stella getting over her trauma with help of her friends (kinda like how Todoroki did)
Okay I need to know who design those monstrous trash bags you call outfits.
And why they've changed the characters colours/colour pallet to boring monochrome outfits that symbolize there elements instead of complementing there appearance and their personality.
stella would burn the universe to a crisp for these crimes.

Bloom is literally a mary sue in Fate, just like Rey in Star Wars.
Im just confused about one thing regarding Beatrix. She wants revenge against the people who burned her town and killed her family, and then she is aligned with and proceeds to work for those exact same people. Just... what?
That's me looking at Vinland Saga
@@kyarabarrion4523 but askeladd and thorfinn's motives were pretty clear.
If I'm correct, Rosalind manipulated Beatrix into thinking that Farah and Terra's father intended to destroy Aster Dell while Rosalind tried to stop them, although the reality is pretty much the opposite. It's not that Beatrix works with the ones who killed her family, but with the ones who tried to save her family (in her eyes)
Edit: this also can cover the reason why Rosalind got sealed. Rosalind said it was because she knows the truth and Farah tries to silence her, while in reality it's because Rosalind is a war criminal and Farah had to lock her up.

Also this got renewed for a second season so let's hope they do things like fixing all the whitewashing that went on.
I had a feeling that this is what they intended for the Live-Action Avatar the Last Airbender series.

There’s actually a few ways they could’ve implemented the Music powers for Musa to have either make Her an Air fairy and give her sound powers or since Farrah I believe is a multi element fairy they could’ve done the same with Musa making her an Air and Mind fairy that way the music power naturally has those more empathetic routes while still acting as close to the original as it could
Yeah, either those options or a sound fairy, cause sound is everywhere
