Tecna is my GIRL, we go way back but I guess the show tried to emphasize the elemental magic, feeling connected to nature, yadda yadda yadda. But at the same time, they're all using phones and social media (also it's kinda funny how they're always checking their phones right after the notification and they don't put their phones on mute, like WHO does that), why they just couldn't develop a new branch of magic for a character like Tecna?
same. Also, as a lesbian who grew up loving Winx Club Techna meant a lot to me cause she gave me this androgynous representation that I rarely saw growing up
The fact they tried to excuse Flora's whitewashing with "oh she's plus size now" like ??? You can be plus sized AND still a POC at the same time? And for Musa, there's just no excuse 😩 The only good thing about them removing Techna is that they can't ruin her anymore...unless she gets introduced later.
@Jeremy Jones I’m not Hispanic or Latina but I saw myself in her. My skin tone is brown like flora and I later dyed my hair dark blonde as an adult . Having characters that look like you really does builds your self esteem as a kid.
Not only that but they didn't even do anything good with her being plus sized. She wasn't stylized at all as if they literally didn't care about making her look good, she was the butt of the joke and her whole character revolved around her weight. How progressive
tbh i think they started the show having them hate each other for the suspense and for more.. interest. You can see on the last episode that stella already made character development and they did that to get an ending or smth
The way they made Aiesha a token friend just ruins me! She was LEGIT the whole focus of season 2! SHE WAS A PRINCESS! AN ISOLATED PRINCESS- they had SO MUCH TO WORK WITH AND JUST MADE HER THE TOKEN BLACK FRIEND THAT CATERS TO BLOOM!
Exactly and they even addressed it in the show when one of the characters (I think Musa) asked Aisha why she was keen on being friends with Bloom. And yet they didn’t even see the hypocrisy (the show runners that is). Aisha better have a storyline that doesn’t depend on Bloom next season. I hope that they at the very least crack up Aisha’s fondness for Bloom to be her “guardian angel” or “guardian fairy” and just leave it at that or something and not this weird trope.
I'm commenting a lot Sorry. I just wanted to say that I hate when shows throw around words like man-splanning and Sexist just to seem like they are addressing progressive topics when in reality nothing in the show is progressive at all and they only do it to gain brownie points.
It’s so annoying. Just focus on writing a good script and if you wanna talk about a social issue, write a script about that social issue like it ain’t that hard
@@cruz6471 right, even if they wanted to go for a “darker” look they still could’ve chose something better. Like these girls are fashion icons and every single one of their outfits were trendy and girly because they are girly girls. Techna is the only one I believe who had more of a tomboyish look(sometimes musa as well)but they all were stylish. Also it’s sad to see that people think to make a “woke” show or a show to shed light on real world problems find the need to have a darker aesthetic. Like the winx clubs were pretty dark despite the bright and pretty colors. It had light and dark themes that contrasted well. If they really wanted to make the show relate to teens they could’ve kept the bright colors but even it out where it’s not a lot of pink or “girly” colors.
Ikr. I dont know why people have this idea that 'mature' cant be colourful and lovely and stuff. Like you can still explore mature themes and be brightly themed idk
You know they will 😭 i’m not even enthusiastic about it anymore. I’m more hopeful that now that Paramount+ has Nickelodeon material that they might create a new series or hopefully movies/specials in Kyoshi, Aang and Korra’s stories. Imagine a Korra animated movie of them going to the Fire Nation.
@@deViianceTV Right and I just know for a fact they would age up the characters and make them all Mary sues who can “handle” everything thrown that way. Many people fell in love with ATLA because of the dynamics between each character and how imperfect they were. They all had different backgrounds and even the characters with great morals(Iroh, Katara, and Aang)had a HUGE flaw that rivaled their good qualities. They would throw that all away and add all these unnecessary sexual and drug induced themes just to “fit” to today’s crowd. Just leave the show alone because it’s too good to be tampered with.
im scared for whitewashing as well, literally EVERYONE in the cartoon is a poc and i feel like they might just do what the movie did and make aang white so he can be 'relatable'
@@ChocoboBen what?! No one is demanding that they only cast black people and when people say they want shows to be diverse they don't just mean black people they mean including other ethnicities as well i.e Asians, Latinos, etc. Musa and Flora for example were not white in the original but this adaptation white washed them. And they failed to give the only black girl a story arch of her own even though she had one in the og.
Tecna will be out of place in medieval Europe looking Alfea of this show, unless they change her power, but change her power also mean change her name.
Right? Like, the original cartoon gave each of them a different boyfriend to avoid love triangles ( yeah, maybe they were too heteronormative but, it was a kid's show in the 2000's after all, and i am telling you, Mirta and Lucy were lesbians clearly). The only similar thing to love triangles were diaspro sky and blue, but not exactly. And riven musa and darcy, but riven was literally being mind controlled.
Yeah a writer from The Vampire Diaries is working on FATE, so you can see the similarities from Elena and Bloom being bland and “quirky” and a Mary Sue everyone fights for. So it’s obvious he’s the one making love triangles and problematic teenage drama; also, sometimes the lines are unrealistic for teens to be talking about.
@@nessyness5447 I know right. I just rewatched the first and third series becouse of this "remake" and there is serious shipping energy not just Mirta and Lucy, but Flora and Mirta. Must be why she they rushed to give Flora a boyfriend season 2. Anyway triangles even with the evens you pointed out theres never a fight for the boy's love. The closest we get is Blooms fight with Diaspro becouse she thinks she's Icy.
@@daniellegroves4830 but they gave her the most feminine looking boyfriend too. Mind you,not saying he is worse, i found helia the most attractive because he looked kind elf like with long her and softer feautures, but just saying, flora is at the very least bi.
@@nessyness5447 Yeah agree theres nothing wrong with Helia. I liked his personality, and style. It was a great message that guys can be gentle and artsy too. But I other than meeting her I don't remember much that he does in season 2, and he only appears in like 2 episodes in 3. Kind of makes him feel more like a solution to a problem than anything else
You should know that Flora isn't the only Latina girl in original cartoon. Stella is actually based on Cameron Diaz, a Cuban descent Latina, and Diaz is a Spanish surname. So, Stella is technically White Latina or may be White Spaniards like Princess Leonor of Spain and Infanta Sofia. Let an White Anglo British actress to play her role is also not right. Lady Amelia Windsor and Princess Leonor are white and Blonde but still their facial structure is different, because one is British, and another one is Iberian! Racial diversity isn't just about skin color!
@@nahnonawnoe Most Poeple don't notice that Stella cast is also innaccurate because she is also white blonde. But, for someone who strict to racial facial bone structure, British girl for Stella role isn't right.
@@kenpoarniceguy1 As Asian who living in Asia (I am Indonesia born Chinese, ethnically close enough to Peranakan Chinese Singaporean), I can see she has some East Asian (or may be it's Malay) feature in her face especially in her cheekbone but her eyes and nose make her look primarly white. But unfortunately I think fans demand for more non-biracial East Asian looking one.
What lack of diversity? You have Layla who's black, Flora who could be mixed or Latina and Musa that's Asian. That's half of the main characters that are not white. Considering it's a show from the early 2000s that was very diverse.
@moonlight dream tbh i think theyre definitely gonna bring flora back as a marketing tactic so maybe tecna has a chance?? she'd obviously be v changed from the cartoon version
If they would have used the word correctly but she literally said a second before she doesn't know what specialists are and as he wanted to explain she cut him off. I paused because that was soooo cringy
Honestly, besides the whitewashing(which is unforgivable), the series was just bad. The characters were extremely unidimensional, the acting was mediocre, the pacing was extremely fast and the ending was so anticlimatic. Besides that, I did not like that they made Sky Stella's ex just to add conflict because in my opinion that kinda takes away from the original idea that they were always friends and there for each other,. I also did not like that the only people of color were pretty unlikeable(at least in my opinion) and the dynamics of Riven and Dane made me wanna vomit. Sky and Bloom had no chemistry whatsoever and she literally drugged him. The only cohesive and interesting character in the series was Beatrix.
srsly no one talks about how badly they wrote the characters and esp that they needed to add needless boy drama between the girls. Just so disappointed in whoever signed off on this whole thing
@@eel900 White washing is most definitely not okay when there are already so little poc in shows and movies, white people shouldn't be the "norm" and adding diversity is never bad.
@@eel900 Some Poeple who againts white washing never seem to be againts black washing. Most of them ok with black girl as Disney Little Mermaid Ariel cast in the name of diversity, but not okay with white girl replacing Flora in Fate The Winx Saga. They are actually double standard.
i think when you have high expectations for a show comparing it to winx, you’re obviously going to be disappointed lol I got hooked and will continue watching it bcus i personally don’t care about all these details that are hurting peoples feelings like it’s just netflix... it’s not that deep. They should have called it something else and not The Winx. Will 100% watch season 2 lol
@@faustinuskaryadi6610 because we need diversity and “black washing” isn’t a thing because black people are not the only POC being recast in things. Whenever a POC gets recast in something it because the race of the character itself doesn’t effect the story of the character. The reason this happens is because there is no diversity to begin with there is no double standard and it’s alarming that you have a problem with shows/movies being more diverse.
I looked up to flora a lot as a kid because I didn’t see my skin tone and hair color a lot in cartoons, but seeing Flora I felt like she was me. Seeing how they not only white-washed her character but changed her name made me VERY upset. Other children should be able to see themselves in these shows. Cant even imagine how people who looked up to Musa feel :(
I honestly don't understand why Flora became Terra (ok i know Flora is Terra's cousin but we know she's supposed to represent Flora). They whitewashed her and truly made her UNLIKEABLE. I hated Terra in the first episode when she was forcing Musa to like her, to talk to her, to open. Like girl stop it. It's the very first day of school, can't you just wait ? Flora was kind and caring, Terra is self-centered in my opinion. The show did try to show a caring side of her but when you can't just respect the space of someone, I can't see this character as caring and kind like Flora is. They didn't just white-washed her, they ruined the character they had between their hands. Netflix has shown poc and lgbt characters like objects since forever. "Look diversity !". But with the winx club, they had it all ! POC were there and you're free to take liberties with sexual orientation. I think they changed Flora and the ethnicity of Musa just to create a scandal among the fans.
Why you only care about skin tone? Racial diversity is also including facial Bone structure! Cast White British as Stella is also innaccurate! Stella is actually based on Cameron Diaz, a Cuban descent Latina, and Diaz is Spanish surname! Still white Latina have slighty DIFFERENT facial structure compared to White British One!
Mostly... the series was just dumb. They tried being serious touching such topics like patriarchy, fatshaming and such... but it was so superficial and shallow that one could not really understand it?
hot take: this gritty remake of a magical girl show should have been W.I.T.C.H., not winx. It's already element-magic based and would have translated a lot easier and the source material wouldn't have need to have been butchered as much.
Yes. YES! I think Winx could’ve been translated to a live-action series, but making it “edgier” just completely misses what made the OG series great. W.I.T.C.H. can afford to go down a darker path. I didn’t watch much of the show but I loved the books and there’s so much more potential for sweet, sweet angst...
I'm British and. I hated the accents sometimes oh my god Also I feel like they just made everyone English for the aesthetic and not for a good purpose. It's like "huh we want dark academia let's slap some random British people on it!"
As an American, let me tell you, WE KNOW! me and many people like me also think about how British accents are always used for aesthetic reasons like you said. I always see and hear it and its honestly dumb sooo i understand your feelings on this one!!!!!
Though I did watch most of it just out of curiosity, I think 1-5 are the best. I don’t quite know what people have against season 5, it was very interesting and a new look for the show being under water and all.
@@3213-d4o I think I disliked season 5 onwards cuz it didn't feel as magical and even as a kid felt more like a cash grab they were keeping alive to make new toys than the series I once loved. they literally ruined the whole vibe of the group and made them be so bitchy against one another even tho the main theme of the friking show was friendship.i do agree that it would take too long to type all my grievances out.
I feel as if she didn’t even get a redemption at the end of season one. Though they did technically give her more background throughout, it’s still a little too 2d to have her be mean to everybody and then want to help them. Because most of the times when she was opening up was with Sky and Ferah-so it didn’t quite make sense for them to be friendly at the end. Like she had basically bullied everybody and then at the end of the fifth episode she calls Bloom “our friend”-this version of Stella had never been a friend to Bloom up until that point. The only good friend out of them would be Aisha but she got alienated for “snitching.”

When you said that european cartoon had more representation than american show... I really felt that. Italy is like 90%-95% white, and I myself come from the country that is 99.8 % white. If Europeans can do it, so can Americans, especially since the POCs in States make significantly larger portion of the population than they do in most of countries in Europe
@@jasonjones3328 Ok, but every one forgot that Stella is also White Latina because she is based on Cameron Diaz, a Cuban descent Latina, and Diaz is Spanish surname. Have blonde hair doesn't mean she is not Latina. White British for her role isn't right also since Britons and Spaniard have different facial structure. Hispanic is nothing to do with skin color, you can have pale skinned and blonde Hispanic too. Even Princess Leonor of Spain is a blondie with pale skin. LoL! Of course you can also meet Spaniards with olive skin complexion, but it's not because native America ancestry like Dora The Explorer, so you actually can cast native Southern Europe for Flora role. Even J-lo is actually Afro-Latina, so it's more accurate to cast Half Spanish-Half African actress for Flora role than stereotypical Latina with native American genes like the one who play Dora The Explorer Live Action. Even Selena Gomez (I don't know what kind Latina she is) and Shakira (Lebanese Latina) can't pass Flora role if you require Flora role as Afro-Hispanic or Afro Latina girl.
I can't believe there was no Musa and Riven's toxic relationship. Like it is a toxic relationship. A teen show can explore so much more of it compared to a kids show. Ugh... The costumes... HORRIBLE. And honestly in the original one Stella was the mean girl without being mean. She was fun and sassy and a fashion icon. I think they butchered the potential of her character
The thing is Flora is my favorite fairy, she is tanned or naturally brown skinned like me and a naturalist. I was so disappointed when they showed us... This. Edit: Musa is supposedly asian but Wtf is dis. Also WHERE IS TECNA? I have a lot of problem with this itll take me forever to type... Also I get that they want to include a character with a different body type, thats okay but her ethnicity....
Exactly. The could've had a latina plus size woman... seems like the writers have a hard time realizing that people can be more than one thing at a time.
Yep, Artemis Fowl is a great book for young adults and adults alike. From what I hear the film ruined it, I was so excited about it, but that excitement died when my Boyfriend a huge fan like me was literally in tears when he got home. It might seem an overreaction but we met in the local library for the first time both reading the first book we've loved them ever since. I was devestated I had to work and couldn't be with him to hold his hand he felt terrible he said. I now hate Disney for hurting my Amazing boyfriend. - (Sorry for the essay it means a lot to us)
as an italian, i grew up with winx and w.i.t.c.h., and i absolutely LOVED it so i got sooo excited when i heard that the wanted to make a netflix adaptation. i always loved the detail and love that went in to italian comic series and how colorful and fun they were, and how diverse. but after i saw how they made the new series i was shocked.
The actress came out with a tone deaf interviews, saying they are getting positive reviews when they are only selecting positive ones and making it impossible to write how you actually feel.
the Netflix adaptation was sooooo bad, it’s so poorly written with no depth and no interest in developing the “woke” topics they only mention in passing. I know I’m a 23 year old man and the show is made more aiming towards 12 yo girls but I think they deserve better
I really dislike how they washed over so many issues in 6 episodes. They should've done 6 episodes focusing on the world building and bloom and hinted at the other characters struggles and then after establishing the success of the show then work on the other characters idk 😐 but yea I agree Sam is top tier
Exactly! I loved Winx because it was close to my culture and the diverse skin colors (I live in a country where we are considered "white" but there is a lot of variety in skin colors from white-white to dark latinos)
What I don't like about the show was the concept. I get it, they went to the traditional kind of fairy and don't get me wrong, I love mythology and I like fairies and European mythology but I was excited to see that other concept. Magic not seen in a "traditional" way, I wanted to see that blend between sci fi and magic. I think that the dark academia aesthetic is very repetitive by now in terms of magic shows and movies and it was the easy way, because it clearly fits the european interpretation of magic and magical creatures. So it was natural that Techna was erased, because she obviously can't fit in that european interpretation of magic unless she has the power to predict the future or something that makes you think in a "futuristic" kind of power. But I am very sad because she was my favorite character.
Winx club was colorful, fun, and had a diverse cast, along with each character having a nice personality and it worked once it was time to fight. 😭💗💗 they had one job!! ONE FUCKING JOB!!
@Rim Gh it’s different. Both are bad to people but personally I see blackwashing of CERTAIN media for specific reasons to be fine,so long as said blackwashing isn’t done with malicious intent.
Ok, the toy theory got me shook like- 😎🤏 😳🕶️🤏 I remember that back in the day, the theory that each one of the main six girls represented continents was pretty much accepted (like Musa representing Asia, Bloom Europe, Tecna Antarctica and so on). Also, for a fact that in the show's prototype, Flora and Musa were orriginally the way they are now Race wise makes the og show way more progressive without adding certain words for brownie points 🥶
The artemis fowl book was quite good, Trinity college Dublin also has a similar problem with wealthy people given preference (my alma mata). Love your necklace and your right ear ring by the way, and the new profile pic looks amazing 💖
About this “Dark Academia” trope, the thing is, as with any trope, it has to be well placed. It has to make sense. Harry Potter and Sabrina? Medias talking about witchcraft, dark magic, and overall dark topics? Great! It makes sense! (And, obviously, HP is a British story, written by a British autor, that happens in the UK, so obviously it HAS to be British). But a story about fairies covered in glitter, originally produced on Italy, HEAVILY inspired by art nouveau? It just doesn’t make sense to mix this with that trope! It bothers me just like Netflix took Death Note, a Japanese story, and made it take place on the US because...??? And made Light being bullied like...??? Tropes have their place, and they can be good if used wisely. But slapping them in any media just because “it looks cool” or because “I think that’s gonna be relatable... somehow” it’s stupid and bad writing.
I refuse to watch it, ive heard its not that good anyway. I just cant get past the blatant white washing and, from what i know, i dont like how they handled the characters and their storylines. On the aesthetic of privilege point: I think that also really depends on where you live and what the schooling situation is in your country. My country, for example, has these old big university buildings which would definitely fall into the dark academia aesthetic, that are next to free to attend for anyone. (Obviously depending on what you're intending to study that is not 100% true, because people from different social classes may not have the time to actually study.)
@@jazwhoaskedforthis I'm from Austria, and some Unis in Vienna have really gorgeous old buildings. For example one University has a reading room, where students can study, that has bookcase lined walls, and metal spiral staircases. Exactly like those dark academia aesthetics. It's difficult to get a space (As in: you need to be there early and best at times when there are no major testing phases) but generally, it's accesible to anyone who studies and the University fees here are 20€ per Semester as long as you do not take too long to complete the base entry level exams.

this is such a well-constructed and coherent explanation of the Winx Club lore and how it’s incorporated in the live action series. Thank you for this video! I am in love with your passion for Winx!
I've always argued, and wrote papers in college over it, that trio of witches comes from the greek Fates. One pulls your thread of fate(your life), one creates knots (your obstacles), and the third cuts the string (your death). Because people usually interact with them through their own hubris (ex. MacBeth) the answers the humans receive are often grim. Then by extension that knowledge puts a dark view of the Witches and Fate and often portrays them as evil or at least mischievous when they are the epitome of amoral and neutral. Love your videos Liam! I recommend them to everyone.
That also fits with the fact that Shakespeare‘s use of the word „weïrd“ (probably read as wei-ard) was pretty ambiguous and could mean both „wayward“ and „weird“ in it‘s original meaning, which was not „strange“, but rather „related to fate“. :)
nah i think the first was the best design wise for an animated show. Have a close look at how cool the fights are before and after enchantix. Before, they acutally fight with their bodies, after...well they just throw balls and glitter at enemies xD because animating such a complicated outfit needs so much more resourches and time, thats why the battles grew more boring after that. But all in all the first outfits just look the best to me, they are clear, well designed and fit each character perfectly. And they dont have so much unnecessary detail
@@cherries_and_wine I mean fair but sparks was definitely a 4kids change. Thou perhaps they just went with sparks cuz a lot of people only know Winx club from the 4kids dub so saying Domino could of caused unnecessary confusion? Who know, but ether way it threw me off a bit lol.
@@cherries_and_wine Fair enough, 4kids has a habit of changing the name of places and characters presumably to to make them sound "more American" in their dubs of non-American cartoons. Their wokeness is surface level. They say "woke" words and do nothing with it. It's like standing up on a bench and saying "racism is bad" then leaving.

I looked up to flora a lot as a kid because I didn’t see my skin tone and hair color a lot in cartoons, but seeing Flora I felt like she was me.

If they really had gone for more mythological version of fairies , no one would look so human and hey would all be evil and hate humans.

Maybe if this wasnt labled as a winx live action it wouldnt be as bad but yeaaaa sorry skipping out on this one. Not repeating another riverdale series thanks.
yeah i also don't want to watch it even if it's just not THAT bad, but i hate most of the things they did, ruin my girl Stella, bloom having a bad relationship with her adoptive parents and overall the "oh look we are progressive and genz 😝" shit and the other things u said in ur comment.
@@soloscape3agreed i hate that they ruined blooms relationship with her parents and stella. In the original they really did love and support her as their own but they also showed blooms struggle with who she us and her actual family. Also stella and blooms friendship was one of the best parts, netflix just lovessss to pin women against each other. Plus idc if something is progressive but i sometimes want an escapist show where its pure fantasy and real world struggles arent the main focus. Like damn ik the world is shitty and i have experienced many racist/sexist things and its good to speak on it but sometimes I dont wanna be reminded of it.Plus like liam said how would this show touch on these issues when most of the main cast is white....
@@arinotari3245 yeah i also don't care if a show touches progressive stuff but the way they do it seems so forced that i can't take it seriously and yeah i also agree on what liam said.
May the algorithm ✨bless✨ this video
i missed in Fate:
-Flora
-Tecna
-The fucking Trix
-Red Fountain and Cloud Tower
- a really good fairy outfit
- Planet Magix , Planet Solaria all seperatet
but i like it to watch and cant wait for season 2 but maybe with more money they can do it
Yes, the trix!
You know Winx, you loved House of Anubis, and mentioned Artemis Fowl. You are clearly a person of taste and I must now subscribe to your channel.
tecna and timmy were my faves from that show so when they scrapped her in the remake I didn't even bother with it 🙃
You’re doing a great job, Liam. Your videos literally give me life.
I watched a documentary and apparently we all got it backwards. Winx comes from Italy and the show was apparently made to help them sell the dolls, which led to more lines of dolls every new season. They did really well marketing the show to kids.
Don't mind me...just commenting for the algorithm while I watch
Good to see 👍
I really miss you honey! I hope you're doing well. I'm sitting in detox trying to get off Fetty and rewatching these videos that have always made me laugh and think. Again, hoping you're good!
i thought everyone forgot about house of anubis i loveddd that show
this is the most detailed winx saga review i’ve seen, amazing work bestie.
Where? I’m jealous, lol
@@jazwhoaskedforthis I'm from Austria, and some Unis in Vienna have really gorgeous old buildings. For example one University has a reading room, where students can study, that has bookcase lined walls, and metal spiral staircases. Exactly like those dark academia aesthetics. It's difficult to get a space (As in: you need to be there early and best at times when there are no major testing phases) but generally, it's accesible to anyone who studies and the University fees here are 20€ per Semester as long as you do not take too long to complete the base entry level exams.
apparently terra is flora’s cousin? so we might see flora next season hopefully 😭
I tapped out after the second episode, I’ve never watched Winx, but the way Liam explained it I might check it out. They might add Techna too but who knows
🥲🥲bruh but why did they go with 'her cousin' and not the OG character like with Layla.....NETFLIX be giving headaches left and right
Why do I fear theyll kill Terra off before bringing Flora? Like netflix cant fathom having more diversity...
@@dday1396 this might sound mean, but i hope so? flora needs to be part of the squad tbh.
My question is...even if they're not immediate family, Terra still could've been a non-white Latina???
Winx club was my SHIT when I was younger omfg at least I’m not the only one that watched it
You look exceptionally lovely today. Nailed the librarian look. I take comfort in knowing that you have a large viewing audience. It gives me hope for the 3 generations coming up (I'm 52). I am unnerved by (Alot of) the content that's out there and consumed by masses. Your composer, etiquette, articulation, research & presentation are exceptional. Thank you for the efforts you make to provide something worth watching. Be blessed
You’re the first person I’ve seen who actually talks about Winx’s artistic inspiration and taught me something that I didn’t know. I love this video
this is such a well-constructed and coherent explanation of the Winx Club lore and how it’s incorporated in the live action series.
If Tecna doesn’t pull up in season 2 I’m going to cry
Not related but bloomix transformation had the best outfits argue with your wall 😌👌
As someone who thinks to hard about magical girl character designs, I 100% agree
^^^THISS
nah it’s second to enchantix 😤
Why would I argue with the truth?
nah i think the first was the best design wise for an animated show.
The way they replaced Flora with Terra in Fate almost reminds me of how they replaced Nabu with Nex in the series😩-
10 seconds in and already speaking truth
If netflix messed up this bad on winx,,,how bad are they gonna butcher avatar the last airbender
we finna get a full tent scene.
@Mermann87 it's still going to be made tho, just without the original creators since they couldnt agree.
I know you're American but you saying "sparks" instead of Domino got me every time
Yeah I'm like "sparks??? okay, not gonna argue with someone who loves Winx so much they watched cosmix season"
@@foodham3277 I didn't know about this change at all, I was so confused
@@cherries_and_wine Fair enough, 4kids has a habit of changing the name of places and characters presumably to to make them sound "more American" in their dubs of non-American cartoons.
I'm pretty sure they also changed the name of Tecna's home planet (but I can't quite remember) and maybe also are the reason for Aisha being called Layla (thou the other English dub also did this so the change might not be related to 4kids).
@@foodham3277 I always thought Layla was the original? At least she was in our dub, and they didn't seem to change other names
I need to see the trix in this series asap, they were so iconic omg
liam, i love your editing and the care you take in including images, memes, etc. *THANK YOU!*
Just watched the entire video and I am BLOWN AWAY!!!!
You explained every single little detail about the plot and especially for the two most controversial topics that surround the series. I can't even come up with such big words like you it's crazy lmaooo
If we're getting Season 2 they better include some of the plot elements from the cartoon and they BETTER not make it a 6 episode season again.
I’d love to hear you talk so much more about Winx lore 💛
Girl I love the small edits you added in there. Made me laugh so much. Great video!
Just passing through, making the algorithm show more of Liam's content
Your comment about the lack of diversity in live adaptations was soooooo interesting and illuminating , I didn't know about it ! This is probs one of the best videos talking about the winx live action
MY GOD WE LITERALLY HAD THE SAME CHILDHOOD YESSSSS
Omggggg they have glitter in their hair💕🦋💕🦋, giving me flashbacks to when I used to put glitter in my own hair.
MY WINX QUEEN ☺️🧚🏽♂️
Netflix looking at this like 👁👄👁”don’t spoil season 2”
I thought you called us fairies because we were gay-
Their wokeness is surface level. They say "woke" words and do nothing with it. It's like standing up on a bench and saying "racism is bad" then leaving. And on top of that, Bloom is SO "not like other girl" toxic omg. She literally calls her own mom a "basic bitch" and says 5 girls in a suit is "lord of the flies waiting to happen". because "girls cause drama" amiright. Not to mention the toxicity between the girls. Like seriously wtf.
“Old Navy transformation” spot on ... spot on LMAO
No idea how I got here, but I am glad I did. You are so satisfying to watch.
Honestly, the last episode gave me a lot of hope for season 2 ... yeah, they messed up big with some of the things they did so far, but they can also fix alot of it ... they can still introduce Flora and Tecna (with well cast actresses please) , they can improve the styling and fashion and maybe we can also get full transformations for all the Winx, like with proper fairy outfits ... i would love that ... also untelated, but i really like the actor that plays Riven ... a lot ... he's hot ... very ...
I’m a long time winx club fan and omg, how did my dumbass not see this on Netflix? Frrr I would never have expected NETFLIX to do something like this to one of my childhood shows tho
wow have i been sold on this show i never intended on watching. however thinking about it now, taking a whole season to get to the good stuff? umm no thanks
