@@millerman9991 I think I actually prefer the 3D versions of the films if I'm honest, Skull Island is reference in 3D 👍 and my god Kong v Godzilla in 3D absolutely fantastic my mind was blown with visuals, the depth was insane .
It's funny you said that Matt I need to check my collection to see if I have any of them in 3D. I'm nearly sure I have the first Godzilla but I do remember the fact that the film was so dark the 3D was lost in it. Need to see if I have the other ones.
Hi keith, a very nice edition and very tempting to pick it up, Loving the artwork of the Steelbooks. For the films themselves I like the first one the best which is great and also enjoy Kong but unfortunately the last 2 I’m not a big fan off. Not normally into steelbooks, but this is a stunning set and I love the "Monsterverse" title for this set. Skull Island is my favourite in terms of the artwork. Godzilla vs Kong and Skull Island are my 2 favourites out of the four and King of the Monsters and Godzilla are just average for me. It sucks that Mad Max 2 4K got pulled back, I was really looking forward to getting that.
I really do think it's a fantastic box set and I just found out that it's gone down to €67 on Amazon Italy. I really think that is a fantastic price considering what you are getting for your money. Yeah I wasn't a fan of king of the monsters myself. It felt like a very rushed movie terrible cast god awful script. I was looking forward to Mad Max 2 myself. How great is that. £30 saved and you don't have to worry about buying it off zavvi. Which is always a bonus in my book. You are going to love it my friend
The fact that there will probably be (at least) one more Monsterverse movie coming out within the next few years has me on the fence with this set. The completist in me is wondering if it wouldn't be worth waiting for the inevitable future box set when we know for sure that the series is complete.
Hey Bob I completely understand that. The only problem with that is you could be waiting years. We don't know how many more they're going to bring out. For all we know it could be another 6 or 7 movies. So when you consider the price of this box set at the moment which is quite amazing I definitely think it's worth picking up
I'm loving this boxset Keith, I've seen 3 of the 4 from this boxset, I still have to see King of the Monsters, but so far Skull Island is my favourite and then a close second God vs King. The fur on Kong in 4K in God vs King is something else, the detail is amazing. Great uploads Keith, there are still so many of your vids I have to check out.
It's weird Gary because I want to do a video of my top 10 favourite 4K releases and the only thing that's stopping me is the fact that Godzilla vs Kong will be number one and I wish it was a different movie. Not that the movie is bad I just don't think it deserves to be the best looking 4K disc if that makes any sense at all.

Wow!! Such a great looking set Keith 👌👌 I like the look of these steelbooks as well 😲 the back artwork is great on K.O.T.M 👌 Deborah hates King Ghidorah 😱🤣🤣 definitely the weakest movie! Godzilla vs Kong is my favourite by far 🤩🤩 love that foam protecting the Steelbooks 👌👌👌 all sets like this should use that 👍🤩 I agree that GvK is by far the best mate! Great pick up Keith 🤩🤩👍👍
Yeah John I have to admit I am very happy with this release. The amount of work that has gone into it is clearly evident and the price is absolutely amazing. I've watched king of the monsters twice now and I don't think it will ever grow on me to be honest. It's a real shame because there was a lot of Talent behind that movie. This is a really nice set and the artwork is soooooooo great on each one . I only passed on this as I have the individual steels in 4k already but this will look great with the other in this range 👌👌 stop making me wanting to double down Keith 🤣🤣👌

Yeah I hated king of the monsters myself. The whole movie felt very rushed terrible acting and the script was ridiculous. Kong vs Godzilla is just a simple slugfest. Thanks for checking the video out John. I hope you and the family are doing well

I can't tell you that it was the most secured package I've ever seen. But it was decent enough. The box was nearly three times the size of the boxset itself and it was wrapped in brown paper. So I don't know if that will ease your mind or not
@@millerman9991 thanks for the info Keith. My LOTR steelbook came in the same package...box that was three times bigger, and there was some brown paper inside. But thankfully, it came without the scratch... But I'm close to Italy (in Croatia), so hopefully this will survive the trip hehe...

£60 is a fantastic price for this edition and as far as I remember I paid around €85 for it. That's why I haven't bought the new matrix Steelbook collection because I'm waiting to see if it goes down to that price
Excellent collection. I've just received my order this morning, crazy yeah? I absolutely love this collection, but when you look at the back of these steelbook cases, why have they decided to paint over that name at the back of these cases? You can kinda still see the name at the top of the back case. Its been painted over in white! I'm just confused in why didn't they just leave that name on the back?? Anyways, I still think this collection is awesome. What do you think of the name painted over? Also, my steelbook book cases came absolutely in perfect condition. 👍🏼
I actually noticed that myself on the back of the Steelbooks and I didn't pay any attention to it to be honest. I honestly did not know what I was. If it is the names of the movies thats very strange to why they would cover them. But like you said it wouldn't put me off the boxset itself because I still think it's beautiful. Great to hear that yours came in perfect condition. I had no problems with mine either but you do hear horror stories when it comes to these metal boxes and them being delivered.
It looks like that was done in line with the credits of all the films, where they show a bunch of redacted text just like that (and if you want to get some nice easter eggs, pause the films to read the text that's being redacted!)

Then a small written "KONG" on the back top left. Nothing to do with the Credits. Same goes with the other films. GODZILLA. GODZILLA KING OF MONSTERS & GODZILLA VS KONG. So, whats that got to do with "Easter Eggs?" 🤷♂️ They should've just left it showing.
@@JamesLee-ph9go Did you watch the films? The opening credits of each movie have text being redacted, meaning it's being whited out exactly like the names on the back. I am assuming that was printed like that on the back cover to match with the style of the films. If it's really painted over on the box then I don't know what's going on, but from the video it just appears like it was printed like that. If it was, it matches the movies. And if you pause the credits before the text is being made unreadable, the words reveal extra information.

I actually noticed that myself on the back of the Steelbooks and I didn't pay any attention to it to be honest. I honestly did not know what I was. If it is the names of the movies thats very strange to why they would cover them. But like you said it wouldn't put me off the boxset itself because I still think it's beautiful. Great to hear that yours came in perfect condition. I had no problems with mine either but you do hear horror stories when it comes to these metal boxes and them being delivered.
It looks like that was done in line with the credits of all the films, where they show a bunch of redacted text just like that (and if you want to get some nice easter eggs, pause the films to read the text that's being redacted!)
@@GeeVanderplas. In line with the "Credits??" I don't understand what you mean. Do you actually know what I'm on about?? Its exactly the name of the film. KONG SKULL ISLAND at front. Then a small written "KONG" on the back top left. Nothing to do with the Credits. Same goes with the other films. GODZILLA. GODZILLA KING OF MONSTERS & GODZILLA VS KONG. So, whats that got to do with "Easter Eggs?" 🤷♂️ They should've just left it showing.
@@JamesLee-ph9go Did you watch the films? The opening credits of each movie have text being redacted, meaning it's being whited out exactly like the names on the back. I am assuming that was printed like that on the back cover to match with the style of the films. If it's really painted over on the box then I don't know what's going on, but from the video it just appears like it was printed like that. If it was, it matches the movies. And if you pause the credits before the text is being made unreadable, the words reveal extra information.

Yeah I pre-order the RoboCop 4K Steelbook myself because I didn't want to get the limited edition again. I'm not sure which remaster we got for Godzilla. I will let you know if I find out anything

Actually I know a lot of people that actually do before the classics over the the recent versions and to be honest you really can't complain about it because the classics are fantastic. Like you said they all can't be winners.
