A healthy competition with more number of companies is needed for win win solution for both business and consumers. Telecom needs to be thoroughly regulated as its a regular need for every household like any other utility. People easily gets trapped to this "free" "free" stuff, but govt needs to regulate and interfere when needed.
Another thing that happened because of Jio is that people here got access to cheap internet instead of cheap education first and as we can see now, the internet has been full of low grade tweets and social media short form videos... If people got quality education first, the internet would've been quite different.
Jio Pehle 28 day plan 149 me 1.5GB day+ unlimited call+100 SMS tha, same plan ko 239 ka kiya, fir wahi same plan ko 299 kiya, matlab pehle sidha Rs.90 badhaya, ab fir Rs.60 rupay badha diya. Total abi tak Rs.150 same plan me badha chuka hey..
When all other competitors where struggling with 2g and 3g licensees all over India in 2012 and 13 ?? How Jio got 4g license pan India directly is also an interesting story😅😅😅
I still remember when i said to everyone in my friend circle that this jio boom is going to be bad for us in the long run. Now we understand but again it's too late. I don't think any other telecom company wants to come inside India. No new player even if they are a global company can't compete against jio in India. Sadly i think the Indian telecom sector has become a duopoly and now we can't change that.
Even if people use BSNL now, they'll use it as secondary not primary. I'll also port my sim to BSNL. But we're late. We should think about this long ago, oh sorry we stopped thinking also.
