I especially liked the reference of staff who could be officious through aggressiveness vs assertivness
Start with FTO next week and have been binge watching your videos and appreciate all of the information you have on this channel.
That makes my day. Thank you. Good luck. And remember …-don’t be afraid to ask WHY (curiosity).
Excellent breakdown, you have provided an excellent workshop to help the new officers navigate our chosen profession. It also provides a path, the Right Path for them to choose, and keep themselves, and there brother and sister officers, and the facility safe. Keep up the Excellent work Brother
Thank you sir. That means a lot to me coming for you. I appreciate the feedback
Anthony your information is correct even though I am California State Correctional retired for a few years, your advice, is correct.
Thank you Rick. That really means a lot to us.
33:05 I know this is for corrections, but as an LEO this point is great. I almost failed field training because of this. I couldn’t get out of my head about a mistake that really wasn’t that big of a deal.
Thank you for watching the content. I believe what we provide does have wider application so I truly appreciate you visiting the channel and finding value.
Im not sure if you will see this or answer it or maybe make a video on it but i was working at the doc i was doudbting my ability to do the job and have my fellow cos backs really wasnt sure if they wanted me to or not at the time but i had a Sargeant that told me to just quit and in my doubt i listened to him ive been trying my hardest to get my job back im not sure why but subconsciously its what i want to do with my life how should i go about getting my job back ive been told no a few times what can i do because i regret it incredibly its been the worste decision ive made in my life
My concern is …if your strong sense of self comes from how other people may feel about you and then you then acting on it….maybe a bigger issue. But with that said, it did come from a supervisor at a time when you are new and vulnerable. Have you tried explaining your concern to the HR team.
I'm starting at a 900+ population facility coming from 6 years working a 160-180 inmate facility. Even with my years and my time as a supervisor, it's a bit intimidating. Any advice?
Be you. Trust in that experience. There are many that have probably entered that facility with no experience. So I think of it as you having a Headstart. Trusting yourself. Trusting what you have learned. And just grow from there.
Thankyou, sound advice
Yay! Almost 800. Please share!
Did psychometric test, Appeared for interview, reference checks been asked, background checks are under process, did medical and fitness test, whats the possibility for offer?
