Hello there and thanks for the updates. I just checked my 'FlyByWire Installer' , and the A380 section is disabled, so I am not able to download the aircraft. I have the Deluxe Version of the Sim , but hardly play it. Will look forward to your response. Thank you.

Hello if you looked closer at the EFB then you would see a date of May 19 2024 which could be a hint to the release date of the Flybywire A380X
Good eye, I just zoomed in on the image on my discord app on my phone and it's too blurry to see the date, where did you view the image that it was clear enough to see the date on the EFB?
They simply put the time few months forward to get a better lighting.
@@FinlandGuy747 But it can also be a hint on when it comes out and if they wanted better lighting then do it in the winter since they are Sydney it’s there summer in the southern hemisphere and winter in the northern hemisphere
@@TheflyingBrit If the picture is taken like 19 February the sun would be directly above them. In may it shines from the side. And there's just no way it's going to release in May.

It has been stated that the cost of the transmission units does not go to the DEVS, but that the fees go directly to the AI servers.

people say this was because the screenshot was taken the 19th, and for a better lighting they used may. Many devs do this

But the upcoming 19th is a sunday just like the EFB
@@Skyvibes10 yes but the screen shot was taken on the 19th all they did was move one month ahead on the same day cause may has better lighting l. Try it in sim, if today the Wednesday 21 of feb you move the time to a month ahead so may it will change to the correct 21st of may which is a Thursday, it won’t keep the wendays it makes no sense idk if I’ve explained myself

@@Skyvibes10 I said the sim knows the 19th of may 2024 is on a Sunday even ur calendar knows it’s not rocket science it uses default weather of may. May has a different seasonal sun look in sim than what February has. Many develops and people who take screenshots use this. All I’m saying at this point don’t get ur hopes up for a may 19th release

The beyond atc price scheming is so convoluted the basic is the only one I would consider ever using dlc model of a specific third party app I just cannot get behind.
People are way too optimistic about BeyondATC having not seen anything near a traffic solve. When they took traffic on beyond mere injection, I started to worry. I think its the right move for getting a truly great ATC program, but it now has traffic tied around the neck of the AI chat in such a way that if its not really solid, it takes the whole thing down with it. That piece is tricky and I suspect actually harder to implement than the AI voice/response code they've integrated. I am definitely curious to see their progress and how that all works out.
And that 380 is GORGEOUS!
It's not very expensive, it's just more expensive than what I paid for the simulator
When the A380 comes out, lots of people are going to be flying to Dubai via Manchester and likewise routes.

A380 looks stunning.Will be worth the wait I'm sure. Beyond ATC is certainly interesting. I think people are panicking too much over the transmission costing. While it is not subscription. Pay by the month per say, it will depend on how much T/time people will spend/use. Premium at $30 may last one person 1 week but the next person may last for 6 months. I think it's a wait and see how people use it in practice and tell us scenario really. Cheers.
Well said, anyone that is experienced and intelligent enough to use ATC at all, should also be intelligent enough to understand the back end costs of AI and how expensive it's going to be to enjoy its benefits in the short term.
Like anything, the price will come down over time, but if you want to be an early adopter, you better start saving your allowance!

FBW are putting so many payware devs to shame with what they are doing for both the A320 and A380 These could be sold as mid-top tier payware aircraft easily but instead it is just people dedicating their free time to the project.

@otherguy137 Technically, FBW have running costs too, from hosting , content delivery (CDN), and more ... things like websites are not free to host and run even if it's maintained by the community.
BATC has way more running costs, though, as AI is expensive.

Look guys - you get it out by next month and I'll tell you how good it is.... I'm going on the real thing again lol. The current versions available (ahem....) have tried and failed but I'm hopeful that this is the greatest so far.

The Beyond ATC is simple really in its price model. Think of it as putting gas in your car. Depending on how u drive and how often, you will either use a lot of gas, or very little. So how often you need to fill up the tank depends on you.
Yes but the pricing is terrible. You have to pay 5 dollars worth of "units" if you want to use premium for 1 flight and basic is just a glorified version of offline.

Of course man. I wish the aircraft developers are going to follow Beyond ATC and come up with this really simple price model so we have to pay for the virtual fuel that we load in the aircraft 🤣🤣
A380 is ready and can be flown, so FlyByWire should launch the aircraft and let it update like a32nx was done as a standalone

The FMS seems to only support TOGA at the moment the rest is greyed out - so still a long way to go

I think I'll fly on VATSIM with human controllers for free rather than Beyond ATC. The A380 looks promising.
Yeah Beyond ATC pricing does seem fair enough . As they say you can use it for one off payment or you can add on more voices for a few $ more . Not like you have to keep paying sub every month .
You will end up paying more money than a usual subscription, it's really bad.
Not really most will be happy with the base version with one of payment. If you want more voice then just pay for them

@@bastulwhite6842 Yes you can. The base pack comes with a couple thousand free credits. This, with offline voices, will last you a very long time.

I don’t understand the people complaining about the Beyond ATC model, including the price, the AI voice technology and servers are not theirs, they don’t get to determine the price of the better voices apart from the fact they are supposedly charging them at cost so are not making profit from that or very little.
I also don’t find it complicated, I find it flexible, they have gone out of their way to allow us to make it as cheap or as expensive as we can afford, allowing multiple combinations of setups to dial in what we are willing to accept, I find that great.
It would also be great if the transmission units were cheaper, I get that, but that’s not their fault.
My only concern is the offline mode voice recognition, supposedly that’s being done online also which will use transmission units too. I really don’t see why that part can’t be done locally, other ATC with voice recognition does that.

I dunno, I think I'd rather pay a small subscription fee for an unlimited premium voice rather than having to purchase transmission units every time I run out.

I want ATC. I want a "robot" to talk to me when I talk to it with my voice.
I do not care how robotic it may sounds, I just want a robot to give me a respond on the other end of VFR/IFR charted flight.
If I pay 60.00 outright, and go only into offline text/speech mode. I will not ever need to spend more than 60.00 USD ever again?

Sadly no. Because it’s a ‘freeware’ product, Microsoft doesn’t allow freeware in the marketplace, but 3rd party developers. So sadly, FBW A380 will never come to Xbox, we’ll have to wait for the iniBuilds A380 instead, which I’m sure will be just as good.

Children and adults with low income or like myself, casual Xbox gamers that found themselves getting hooked on MSFS, are often the ones that can't afford PCs, and/or don't realize how much better the MSFS experience is until they own a PC.
For me, XBOX Series X with a full suite of the Turtle Beach peripherals was an overall 6/10, compared to the 10/10 experienced I'm having on PC.
I spent about 2 years on the platform and just switched 2 months ago, best decision I've ever made, but it wouldn't have been possible without my new higher paying job I got a few months ago

Overall, I have a positive outlook on life and everything flight simulation. But right now, I'm over of all this endless teaser from various devs like FBW, PMDG, and Fenix. I couldn't care less about all the screenshots etc. Just let me know when it is released.
Its tiring isnt it, but it lets content creators keep smashing out preview videos with the same old messages that gets clicks and views and likes and of course money. Please excuse my scepticism.

Beyond atc pricing model is so confusing! Want to use 5 bucks per flight, in a pmdg that you already payed 70 dollars for, in a sim were you at minimum payed 60 bucks for, then go ahed! Imagine useing 5 dollars (ish) per flight like NO! its outrageously!!!! Im sure someone will, a go ahed but I sure wont.
BeyondATC is technically a good and innovative product for sure. Unfortunately, the absolute nogo here is the fact that you can't use Push-To-Talk offline. The quality of the voices isnt obviously the only criterion for being able to use BATC as a real ATC. This means that for 60$ I only interact with ATC via mouse clicks, and let's be honest here, that has nothing to do with realism. Simple voice recognition in offline mode would have been the least I could have done, because without voice recognition ATC is simply not useful. The prices with traffic for frequent flyers and the Basic model are also considerably more problematic than a subscription and far exceed the cost of a subscription. Who pays 100$ per month for an ATC solution? For a basic price of 60$, I expect voice recognition so that I can at least practice ATC communication in a meaningful way if I have to fall back on the simple voices.

Does anyone care about the FBW A380 anymore? FBW has been teasing us with pictures and previews for years now. I’ve completely lost interest and won’t be downloading it when it is released in 2028.

@@Kailum8866I agree it can take time to develop. Many are tired of pictures of landing gears, seat cushions, and random buttons over several years. All we are looking at is a paper airplane.

Beyond ATC is making a marketing mess of their system. With this cluttered mess of a price model I will not buy it.

I am seriously disappointed about the BeyondATC model. I am paying for Simbrief because its a complex solution and I really love it but this? Can't use push to talk in basic? That is stupid and they want to drain money from customers. I will not buy this product.
