How to remove cut the top off 55 gallon drum barrel with harbor freight $12 air hammer

Cutting the top off a 55 gallon drum with harbor freight air hammer. These are hammers are so cheap. They are great for tearing stuff up. I think it was $12 and a pack of bits / chisels is $7. No sparks. Somewhat safe. Use at your own risk

Wow! Going to buy one tomorrow, seems much easier than using a angle grinder . I just hate I have to lose the lid . Nice vid!

I probably cut out 600 barrels tops by hand, done it once using the method in the video, never tried an angle grinder, and only tried a deheading tool once for me the fastest and easiest way is with a hammer and a chisel -- a whole Barrel done in less than 4 minutes can be done anywhere

I've done it and I can tell you it'll make you go deaf this video doesn't allow you to appreciate just how loud that is

After doing that to remove the lid, do you know if a normal 55 gallon drum lid will fit on top of the barrel?
