I purchased the Foxwell NT510-elite scanner for Porsche, and cannot view the overrev count on a 981 Cayman. Engine data is not an available selection in the Special functions sub-menu. Did Foxwell remove this capability from the tool? What firmware version are you using on the scanner?
Very informative video. TY
*works on all porches*
yes
good luck getting that to work on any pre obd car
apparently, Autel Maxisys MS908 can read Porsche Over Rev data too.
I don't know if Autel's less expensive Scan tool can read Over Rev data or not.

Plugged in Does the engine need to be running to see this information?
Not necessarily just turn the key until you see the engine lights.
Do you need to download this information into the obd reader or is it on the system?
It was out of the box on my Foxwell
How do you over-rev if the car has a rev-limiter? False gear change or?
The rev limiter, won't stop you reving on the red line for x amount seconds.
Really? If you rev it to the limiter the warranty expires?
For them it is proof that you were operating the engine over its limits.
