Mr. Loo, the way the uncle fried the kwee tway is EXACTLY how it was back in the 60s & 70s in Spore when I was a small kid. They all did the exact same way. 😆
Many singaporeans and "gurus" before you have walked the same path over the past few decades, all with same motivation, for the same reasons. not a single one would do it again if they cld turn back the clock 😂 you are in the "honeymoon" phase. Godspeed. You're gonna need it.
2 decades ago, cement used was different n de bonded after 3 years said a lot of the materials used. nowadays, there r cements for different applications, pebble wash or pebble shower flooring as it is called ,like what Mr Loo is doing ,if done right can last a very long time. I would suggest that Mr Loo use a sealer to seal the floor if it is not included in the project. A sealer will also brings out the colour of the pebbles.
Very Nice Mr Loo! You are really an inspiration to my life.. I too look forward to moving abroad and living in a house this big!!! At the moment, i am still with my corporate job and finishing off my HDB mortgage in a couple of years! But seeing your videos just motivates me more!!
What is money if you cannot enjoy it. 😅 I would have done the same although maybe just cement . Grass would be nice but too troublesome to upkeep & artificial ones too expensive . Not worth it.
Mr Loo, just curious… every time u go in, do u stay overnight? If so, where do u stay since your house is not ready? Or do u just drive out on the same day? Don’t u get stuck in the jam coming out?
seriously reno so extensive should have gotten a new unit. roofing and underground sewage pipes oso may need to take care next time if its not done this round. last time my neighbour had to dig out the old sewage pipes and replace with new one after it was stuck and burst. trust me, after a while the excitement of owning such a huge place will be gone and one would wish just to stay in 2rm senior BTO best for ease of maintenance.
Hi Uncle, we call it ‘pebble-crete’ in Australia. My mother has her driveway and side paths in pebble-crete. When you need to wash it, you use water gurney to blast off the algae and dirt.
I am not impressed because I know it will not work out. When they change the government new rules will also affect the foreign ownership of properties. BTW, good luck to your SG hard earned money. Don’t live in denial.
Yes it is possible but unless the new rules forces us to sell our house as foreigners, it won’t affect me. Not buying it for investment so as long as I get to own it forever, not bothered by its value changes even if it goes down to zero. It is already written off in my books.
Looking like heaven on EARTH. So happy for you and your family.
Thank you so much!

Oh really? Super yummy.
After a few years the will be a lot of fungus/dirt on the pebbles… very difficult to wash out… thats what happened to my neighbour’s house..
If not done properly, the epoxy will fail and will forever have little pebbles popping out.
Looking forward to how it will look upon completion😊
Me too!

Oh I had my drive way done with these pebbles 2 decades ago. However it debonded after 2-3 years, I relayed them with tiles and never turned back.
Did they come loose?

If you like trees but not grass and soil below, you can consider covering the ground with small stones.
Good idea
Will you be putting a commando plug /ceeform for the EV since it’s quite a waste if you start to buy a ev wall plug now.
What’s that?
@@1m65you cannot be putting a 3 pin (13 amp )plug outside to charge your ev right? What’s the socket and amp your contractor do for you? May I know?

Hotel lah…. So many cheap ones in JB. I usually avoid the jams, by travelling in odd hours

Yes, that would be ideal, but the main reason why I chose this location is because my relatives are a few houses just beside my house.
Hor Fun part is the best!
I will be there in CNY very nice 🎉🎉
Your new house in JB, sure very nice Mr Loo👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Jai Hind. Sir, you are now in a virtuous cycle of Making money and Spendings like on renovations
