Banjo in the hollow--4 years ago when we lived in Yandang Mountain, Rang play banjo on the balcony

Four years ago, when Shi Rang was 7 years old, he was practicing the banjo on the balcony. Suddenly I found this old video, which moved me。It was in May 2020. We returned to Yandang Mountain again to shoot the video.

It’s roots are actually more similar to Chinese stringed instruments interestingly enough.

@@kishascape The banjo is similar in construction to specific Chinese and Japanese instruments, but it's generally accepted that the modern banjo derived from instruments played in Western and Central Africa.
