Thank you for the video I didn't know I needed. I am getting so tired of seeing yet another Anthurium hybrid that has dark velvety leaves and a fancy name. I don't know, seeing unknown plants brings back the excitement we all had when entering the plant scene. Do you have a Walking Iris? I am thinking of getting one, because I have one place against the wall on a shelf and as the Iris grows really flat, I think that this could be a perfect plant for that place. And yesterday I just said to my friends: if I ever get a sun room, I would definitely grow vanilla there. I love the look of the long leaves. Good to know they are hardy, too Also I love your Philodendron Malay Gold. It looks absolutely stunning
You need a barstool to put the show and tell plant on 😂 that moonshine looked really heavy! Mine hasn't done as well, maybe it needs more light. Love my golden goddess, it's almost as tall as me with an Amazon special obliesk
I think "today's it plants" fall out of favor long before anyone has had time to grow them to maturity. So it's nice to see some fully mature plants that no one talks about anymore. Cheers. Hope your holiday is/was wonderful.
Hi Memo 🙋🏻 Lovely to see the some of the everyday plants centre stage. Absolutely LOVE your moonshine! Mine has 4 leaves 😅, but is happily living in front of an easy window. I am growing the pellionia on a coir covered plank, again, east facing windows and it's very happy and growing well. That vanilla plant is insane!!! My 'bragging rights' plants are a cinnamon tree, orris root iris - used in perfumery, gin and apparently Morrocan food?? Next year i can harvest my first mature rhizomes, and then begins the 5 year drying process to develop the scent. A very beautiful underrated plant of the Hoffmannia ghiesbreghtii/Taffeta Plant. Gorgeous colours, velvety leaves that are heavily crinkled like crinkle cut potato chips...crisps??? While it's growing well, I'm yet to find the perfect spot for it. Great segment Memo, thank you
Totally agree with you about the Philodendron lemon lime. Mine is 5 foot now and I love it so much I've just bought some rooted cuttings from etsy because I didn't want to cut mine up. It's so hardy and easy to grow. Wow, I would love to have some vanilla orchid!
Love this video! I have a moonshine and it's such an easy-going plant. Mine lives in a west-facing window and seems to be living its best life! I've also got a vanilla orchid, but it's just a little baby. I don't expect it will ever produce the flowers, which I think are only open for a teeny amount of time, but wow...yours is amazing!
I’m just about to propagate my lemon lime philodendron (as I call it) and I’m excited to see it’s potential. I’m so with you with the vanilla. I was also like “what, I can grow vanilla at home” and now it is all over my little green house 😅
❤ I would love to find a sanseveria moonlight/ or moonshine, I already forgot the correct name lmao, and the vanilla orchid!! Love the info and agree with you 💯 Thanks 😊 Ginger
My moonshine snake plant has done fine in my bedroom-a couple meters back from a west facing window where it gets no direct light because of the angle. Not growing super fast, but still looking as fine as it did when I bought it. I can't recall if the money tree/pachira aquatica was on your previous list, but if it wasn't, I would add this plant! Had a thrips infestation late last year and because I had a superhighway of spider plant babies connecting my diffenbachia to my money tree, the money plant inevitably got thrips. I also let my money tree dry out waaay too much and on top of it, it was under very strong grow lights. I decided to just cut off most of the leaves and continue to cut off the old leaves as new ones came in. All this to say... this plant has been through the wringer, and it has come back strong! It has given me at least a dozen new leaves in the past...4 months? And half of that time it was sitting in a dark room in isolation! Now it sits about 2 meters under a strong grow light and is pushing out more leaves. It will surpass its former glory in no time😊
Beautiful plants, Memo :-) I especially like the Philodendron Malay Gold and Peperomia obtusifolia variegata - I hope to add these at some point. Memo, please, could you make a video on Cercestis Mirabilis and Alocasia sulawesi Jacklyn or A. sinuata, if you have one?
Tooootally agree with tha Malay gold (and the neon photos). I have one and it does really good. Was not expecive and it always gives a pop of colour in the room. Love it! The peperomia.... not a fan :) Because I don't really get along with them.
I have a moonshine and got some philodendron lemon lime cttings recently, toaly agree, that are great plants! I also had a vanila orchid cutting years ago, but it did´t make it. To see how lush your vanila is make me think I should try again:)
Thanks Memo for affirming my plant choices. 😂 Have all but the orchid. Plan to buy a pellenomia pulchra. It is a beautiful plant and I have the perfect pot for it.
Your Pellionia pulhra is amazing! I have P. repens, it has really silver/blueish leaves because of Northern exposure. About Philodendron Malay Gold. It makes a great color accent in any room! There is so called "variegated" variety by the name THAI SUNSET. Don't go for it. It is a spontaneous mutation. I got it 6 years ago, before all this variegated madness started. It became reverted very fast. Recently it produced one variegated leaf. Was it worthy to wait 5 years?

I have the Malay gold and Pellionia (Red form and Repens) and they are wonderful plants.
Love seeing the tried & true staple plants.
I love ❤️ your surprise houseplant reveals. 😊

Love this! Please keep your long form videos coming, I really enjoy watching them! 💚
I love to see some more common plants... Thanks for sharing yours!

Great video again! 💚💚💚 Very interesting list of plants, some are new to me.

I've had the philodendron mamey for a few years, and I just love it. Very underrated plant!
Yey thank you for sharing your Pellionia/Procris! :)
Those plants are truly beautiful! Thanks for spotlighting them Memo!

Wow, I would love to have some vanilla orchid!
I have often seen the lemon lime Philo but always hesitant to purchase, glad to learn more about this plant.
Have 3 plants you showed in this video ❤ great video

Thanks Memo for affirming my plant choices😂. Possess all but the orchid. Can't keep an orchid happy to save my life!
Hi Memo, I guessed the last plant was a vanilla orchid. Funny thing is I’ve never seen one and didn’t know vanilla pods came from orchids 😂😂🇨🇦
