I first drove to Jiaju Tibetan Village in Danba County, where it said to live the most beautiful Tibetan girls.
Can you guess how many beautiful girls I met in this village?
Only one!
She, and her two sisters, owns a restaurant in the town. They are known as the three most beautiful sisters in Jiaju Tibetan Village. But when I visited, only the second sister was at home.
Just like other young girls in this small village, they all went out to the town and big cities like Chengdu to work for income. Nowadays, only the girls’ mothers and the elders are still living in this village.
It was a pity that I didn’t meet beautiful young girls here. But When I saw the women selling local specialties on the roadside and the grannies farming at home, I could imagine that these lovely women were once some of the most beautiful young girls here.
After visiting the beautiful Jiaju Tibetan Village, I kept driving to Kangding.
It is 159 kilometers from Danba to Kangding, but I spent too much time on the way and arrived in Kangding at 9 p.m.
Quite late.
But it was the time that I could join in the traditional dance party (known as Guozhuang Dance) in Kangding Plaza with the locals.
It was a special experience for me since what I met on this day was different from my life in Tibet.
The houses in Danba are different from ours’ in Lhasa, and the dance in Kangding is also a little bit different from ours. Even the Tibetan language we speak is different.
Can you imagine how happy I was when I finally met someone that could understand my Tibetan accent in a local Tibetan restaurant in Kangding?
It was a kind of ‘culture shock’ for me. I am sure I will have more special experiences in the rest of my Sichuan Tibet overland trip.

今天和大家分享我川藏自驾之旅的第二天行程。我去了丹巴的甲居藏寨和康定。
都说丹巴的藏族姑娘是最美丽的，因此我相当期待能在甲居藏寨中遇到心仪的姑娘。
你能猜到我在这个寨子里遇到了多少美丽的姑娘吗？
只有一个！
这位美丽的姑娘和她的两个姐姐被誉为当地最美的藏族三姐妹。她们在这里经营着一家餐厅和民宿。
我来到这里的时候只有二姑娘在家。她的姐姐和妹妹都外出打工了。和这个小村子里的其他年轻姑娘一样，她们都外出到镇上或大城市里打工挣钱。如今，村子里只留下了女孩们的母亲们和长辈们。
我在这里没有遇到年轻漂亮的姑娘，真是太可惜了。但当我看到路边卖土特产的妇女们和在家干活的阿婆时，我能想象到这些可爱的妇女们曾经也是这里最年轻最美丽的姑娘
在美丽的甲居藏寨之后，我驱车前往康定。虽然从丹巴到康定只有159公里，但我在路上花了太多时间，晚上9点才到康定。不过这个时间刚好让我有机会和当地人一起跳锅庄。在康定市的康定情歌广场上每天晚上都有当地居民在这里跳舞。
今天对我来说是一次特别的经历，因为我所见到的和我在西藏的生活那么相似却又不同。
丹巴的藏族民居和我们拉萨的不一样，康定的锅庄舞也和我们的有些许不同（这里的偏藏东风格）。就连我们说的藏语也不一样。
你能想象当我在康定当地的一家藏餐厅里终于遇到一个能听懂我藏语口音的人时，我有多高兴吗？
这对我来说是就像是一种 "文化冲击"。我相信在接下来的318川藏线自驾旅行中，我还会有更多特别的经历。

Tsering is a common name in Nepal/Bhutan, poverty stricken Nepal, Bhutan, Assam, Mizoram, Nagaland and the north-eastern parts of India should be part of Tibet and relieved from poverty.

Your programs are beautiful to watch. It also shows the progress made by the common Tibetan People. The culture too is still maintained , when you see a common market lady with her prayers beads in her hand. The Chines government has been very fair in their developing Tibet....

I think Tibetan singer Tenpa wangmo is from this place. In Tibetan the name of this place is Gyamo Tsawarong.
The short form is Jiarong or Rgyalrong. Not many people call it by its full name nowadays.

Just a few hundred miles and you will reach the northeastern part of India (Arunachal as seen in your map). The livelihood and environment (landscape, housing patterns) is so so similar to us..... Infact there is a place called Sikkim in India. Till today we trace our ancestors to Yunan Province of China though we are Indian... migrated through the mountains/hills thousands of years ago....
AP and Sikkim are stolen land. The area has nothing to do with the people in the subcontinent. AP was gobbled up by India in 1951. Sikkim was gobbled up by India in 1975. Free AP and Sikkim from India.
