Marx's Life Project and Capital - Shahram Azhar | 1st Session in Capital in 21st Century | SRG

In our 1st online session, students are exposed to Marx’s life and his political project as it evolved from 1848-1867 and beyond, that is the period after the defeat of 1848 revolutions, and his rethinking of “what went wrong”. Students will learn about the three volumes of Capital as a whole and will be able to understand how Marx envisions the project himself.

We bring you a series of lectures to build an understanding of Marx's Capital, drawing upon all three volumes. We will be covering the basic concepts and theories within it in 4 sessions. The course will be bilingual (English/Urdu) to enable an easier understanding for all participants.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER - Dr Shahram Azhar is a professor at Bucknell University, a musician, also part of Democracy At Work and the Rethinking Marxism journal.
