Man, these were my first ever third party figures. It's funny that they don't really make stuff like this anymore that integrates with the official stuff, outside of add-on kits. I guess nowadays they would've just made an entire new set of Combaticons.
So I never knew Fansproject had their own Bruticus. I just stumbled on a video of someone doing a stop-motion transformation of them. Piqued my interest, so I came to you to see if you knew anything about it. Low and behold, you did. Hence this video. What's my point? You have come a _long way_ since this video. Wow, I applaud both your dedication and your perseverance.
I have this guy and i must say it is one of the best parts of my collection, i just stare at him sometimes in amazement lol He is to scale with Stascream which makes this figure even better in my books. Great review!
I love having this guy, I really do. One of my best purchases ever. However, I'm thinking about selling it since Warbotron is going to be coming out next year...

Explorer and munitioner are fansproject toys with the add ons for a Hasbro version of their version of Bruticus maximus, preferably the ROTF version but it works with the energon version too but not equally good looking
Great review of Bruticus! Because of this cool video I got the Munitioner and Exlporer sets and upgraded my Bruticus. I hope that someone comes up with a chestplater upgrade for this set to me him even more awesome!
I was watching another RUclips review, and he suggested turning Onslaught's legs 90 degrees out so Bruticus' upper legs look thicker and matches Brawl and Swindle's thickness, and now my Bruticus looks so much more awesome!
At long last. I finally have every piece to this set. And i have to say......its amazing. By far one of the best figures anyone could ever own transformers wise. Strongly suggest you get it IF you can find it for a decent price.

Not sure wether or not it was for your own aesthetic reasons, but the flaps on either side of the chest (with the wheel on each flap) actually fold in neatly, as opposed to being left open in Bruticus form...
Ebay is the only way and your looking at around $500 for the complete set as you see it on the video if your lucky to find it. I bought mine a couple of years ago and lucky i did. The X-FIRE sets sold at BBTS and Bruticus was retail stores and online stores. Good luck.
Very nice and creative but maybe a tad impractical nowadays?! I managed to acquire Pocket Toys PT-05 Trans Sphere Panzer Legion 5! Would you say that this old set is still better Transphere Panzer Legion 5?! Still pretty neat and for 2010 it was ahead of it's time.
Bought a used version of this set with a slightly damaged Munitioner (the hood joint was broken but still hanging on and stays on fine in combined mode). And wow he's a nice piece. He scales decently with current Combiner Wars stuff, so I'm definitely passing on the CW Bruticus (getting tired of retools :P). Phenomenal piece, looks so kick-ass. I do wish the tolerances on the combiner pieces were a little bit better, had to use some hardware to get some of the pieces to move properly. Seems like mileage may vary since the transformation in the vid looked fine. ALSO, armpit rockets ^_^
i noticed something at 6:27. you could just give him the gun that makes part of his shotgun (the 1 with the handle) and leave it as a pistol. also i also see a scenario where his rifle switches from assault rifle to sniper.
@HydraLing1 Finding Explorer and Munitioner is actually fairly easy on eBay - usually both are sold as a set - they cost about $200 together right now. Finding the TF Energon or Revenge of the Fallen figures is going to be harder because they are rarer than Ex and Mu. If you can get them as a whole set, it will cost you about $250 - $300, while just getting Onslaught, Vortex, and Brawl as separates will range between $50 - $75 each. Expensive, but the end result is worth it! FX

OH SHIT. I just realized what model the rifle might be based off of: either the Barret M82A1 or the Barret M107. Both being .50 cal! I was kind of upset at first that he was given a sniper rifle as opposed to an assault rifle, given that he all ready 2 long range cannons, plus a laser cannon in his chest if that's what you want to interperate the crystal being with lazors on his right rist(see, imagination goes far after all), but not anymore.
i just ordered the rotf bruticus maximus to form this dude... but i noticed that there is a different head for the combined mode. do i have to get this head seperatly or did i just order the wrong set?

mr. emgo, you have had the add on kit for a while now, and i was wonodering if you have had the same problem as i do. the connectores on the missle pod arm pits, on both of mine they have split where it is to peg into vortex, EVEN on explorers, and his doesnt even peg into anything! super glue has fixed it, butooo it is still extremely fragile. is this a grand problem, or am i the only one?

Bruticus is about to the lower part of Hercules chestwing, but if you consider his guns as part of his height then they are almost the same
nice review.. i picked this up last week over SDCC bruticus, this is worth buying for.
2:22 bottom left of his red face in the background, not sure if reflection or something else? just kinda thought it looked out of place.
