You should consider an indepth comparison of this vs Gravitys GLS431B(or similar variant) and On-Stages's version of a flat base setup. ( LS7920BLT), and any other similar compact stand type setups. I would have LOVED it in prep of the show I just completed. I would also love to see more compact/mobile truss related setups and videos and learn about those options. I recently used 3x on stages and 1x gravity(4th Onstage was backordered wouldnt arrive in time) In my opinion: The gravity stand is durable and very well built and overall very nice, but didnt go as high as I would have liked. The On-Stage stands, however, were dissappinting. Their Quality once setup and raised were questionable and I was quite disappointed, Especially after feeling the Gravity stands build quality. I may get rid of them after a single use. For my use the Tbars/single arms included are thin and too risky. The post shook so much (after ensuring they were tight in base and a weighted bag on it) at only around 70+/-% of its max height and under 50% of its rated weight. I wasnt comfortable going max height as I originally planned for my use case which resulted in some more frontal/direct vs frontal topdown light than preferred. Luckily, I have some rockville rvls1 tripod sets that I was able to use the accessories and Tbars off of and they were much better quality and a much lower price point comparatively; if space wasnt such a issue I would have used them for the front/top lights.
Any feedback on whether you'd stick with a Chauvet Flex stand vs the GLS431B Touring stand you mentioned? I'm quite dissatisfied with the quality my flex stands arrived to me in NEW condition. I was vetting my options of sending this back and grabbing that vs just swallowing my pride on the fact they sent me a product that was assembled incorrectly. I had to spend 45 mins to put it back together the right way and it damaged the parts.
Hello! I am seeing mixed information on the top pole diameter. Chauvets documentation says its 1.8" (45mm) but other websites list it at 1.4" (35mm). Would you be able to confirm the top pole diameter? I have a Rockville RCS52 universal lighting attachment and id like to make sure ifs going to fit.
I'm seeing the topmost part at about 35mm (the speaker holder) on the one I have here. If you take that off, it's 45mm on the part below that, which is probably where the confusion comes from.
Depends on the head. Some wash fixtures or smaller fixtures with lighter heads can be, your lights should tell you in their manual if it's acceptable to hang sideways or not.
@@LearnStageLighting Im assuming it would have to be attached sideways with the clamp. I was trying to figure out away to have it sit flat on the stand. I’m wondering which way would be best
4:30 - 4:50 that thing sure is wobbling a lot. Do you have it on an uneven floor or something? Is it stable?
Can you please review more chauvet items as chauvet have really come on recent years
What type of clamps do you recommend for this stand? Besides a "C" clamp of course.

@@skiddz17 what did you end up doing? Did you stick with flexstand or move to gravity? Which is better?
@@fausto412 Took their replacement set for free and just have it ready to replace these when they inevitably fail on me
That On-Stage flat base setup looks trash worthy. Lacks what Chauvet's Flex stand has to offer.

Hi guys. Wondering how a Moving Head works eith that kind of stand..?!

Like AdJ 4Z’s?

Is it study enough for multiple source fours?
Yes, I'd easily do 2 or more S4's depending on height. You can always add sandbags to the bottom as well if needed
