I don't wear and don't buy football boots so I'd appreciate if someone could enlighten me. Wouldn't laceless boots have some kind of structural enhancement to compensate the removal of laces?
I have Puma Future 2.1, and have worn them with and without laces. Without was greatly improved from with. The removal of laces is the addition of quality.
Ami Lewis Yes it does, a sentence stopper inside of the quotation mark would indicate that a new sentence would be started. In this particular instance, he does not start a new sentence therefore the sentence stopper shoduld go after the quotation mark.
My take on ACC is that it means that the boots are "designed" to be used in All Conditions, it doesnt mean that they all have an element in common. Still, i think that it does not work as people say it does.
To me is just a way to differenciate the higher end boots from the lower end, just like some years ago the boots that had "Adizero" written on it were the ones to go for (though Adizero was a "palpable" feature of the boot)
I’m a goalie and I use the adidas 18+ predator. I feel as a keeper it is just way more convienient to have them laceless because if they the laces do come undone, you gotta ask someone to tie them or take off your gloves. Also they fit ok and never really slip on my feet. Not better than my previous 18.1s in terms of overall fit lockdown and performance but i would still choose the 18+ just so I don’t have to worry about tying them .
My last 4 pairs were superflys, and to me the sock didn’t give me any support, but it made me feel more comfortable in the boot. Also I had the feeling that my boots were wrapping around my foot which made them more snug
the only reason why i took the laces out of my boots is because there are really tight when i lace them but they are a lot looser without the laces but they are still a bit tight
I bought the Nike vapor 13 pro wore them to a game and everyone on my team said why don’t you get the sock and acc I said you all should buy them yourself if it’s such a big problem
Its so annoying when a friend of you or someone says that a collar makes the boot alot better because it's hard to explain as soon as you say it's there for looks they come up with all kinds of stuff to say
Fosu for me personally i like the look of the sock and that’s my excuse. idk it just feels more comfortable for me, but that’s just personal so i get why if you don’t like socks
I use my Mercurial Proxima 1&2 quite regularly as a daily sneakers and all of my friends ask me what do the DF do and when I say they do nothing they dont believe it
Josh have you encountered any durability issues with your Vapor 12 elites? asking because i have now had two pairs which the upper have ripped on, one after about a month of wearing five times a week, and the other on just the second time i wore them. other than that a great product, but with an obvious flaw like this one i don't think ill be getting them again
The only reason I end up taking off the laces, is because i buy them and a couple months later my feet grow and it’s harder, or i can’t put them on so i take off the laces and now i can use them for an extra month before having to buy new ones
I live in the mid west and every one has ACC on their boots because if you have it the tornadoes are legally have to wait until you’re done playing to suck you up
The mid cut boots don’t help any ankle support at all 😂😂, I landed on my ankle in training with these and now I’m out of playing football for 6-8 weeks I’m gutted 😞❤️
Number 6: Those strange triangle FG spikes that created by Nike. It doesn’t make you faster at all. Instead it’s slow at bad at controlling. Traditional circle spikes (Like Adidas) is way better.
Yes I agree that taking the laces out can be a bit weird but I worn in my. Boots for 5 months and then I felt a pain in my lace part of my foot and got injured :(. So then I took the laces out when I got back after recovery and felt a LOT better. It takes more pressure of your foot in my opinion and feels more relaxed. My boots were the Puma king platinums so they were quite tight boots anyway.
I got some Adidas Nemesis boots and the reason I made them lace less was because when I would tie them the lace was too short so I would make it way to tight so yeah I guess I’m using lace less boots until I get longer laces
I have, when the 2017 earthquake in Mexico City happened I was wearing boots w acc and lemme tell ya, my touch was so great it felt like I caught it with my foot lmaoo
i play with sock sleeve knowing that is was not going to help but it helps me as a player to feel something their also no laces are stupid because you can tie it harder to have a better fit
That's the thing about most of these trends though. The brands themselves aren't making these claims! This is just stuff that people have made up and accepted as reality, even though there is very little logic to what they're believing.
About ACC, like yes it doesn't improve your touch at all, but try and look some other products on the market. I love sneakers alot so I care from them so I urge you to test CREP Protect spray or Reshoevn8r water repellent, that's basically ACC and it works, now maybe nike just made it more durable since those products need to be reapplied every couple months to make it sustainable. So please do a test between them at tell us if Nike is lying. (those repellent sprays are transparent as well and you won't know visually they have been applied)
Nike doesn't have a miracle invisible coating that doesn't wear. You could spray a pair of football boots with any kind of protective shoe spray, but the abrasion from the pitch, the ball and being exposed to all whether conditions would quickly wear off whatever you sprayed on the boots. Football boots are truly exposed to absolutely everything while constantly being beaten on. There is no real test to prove anything, because there isn't any invisible feature tech out there that will truly make a difference. If you want to improve your touch on the ball in dry or wet conditions, practice more, and worry less about whether or not your boots have ACC. And that's not directed at you, but everyone in general.
I like the mid cut boots, because here on Brazil at least... they usually have less padding inside and the embrace the feet better giving a "shoeless" sensation... and since the high end boots like the vapor elite are stupidly expensive... is just something out of reach. (900 - 1600) bucks
Hey Josh, Great vid. Im in the market for cleats and am torn between the predator 18.1 and nemeziz 18.1. I am an overall field player and am looking mostly for great comfort and great lockdown. Would gladly like your input and opinion. Enjoy your uploads as always!
Serious question josh so my vapor 11 broke and i absouletly loved the vapor 11 i am decideing whether to go vapor 11 again or vapor 12 pro variation so whats better in your opionion (btw the reason i aint going for the vapor 12 elite is cos i honestly dont know how flyknit boots perform in rain like does it get allot more wet the upper and longer to dry or what)
ACC is a life saver, tornado nearly took the ball away, but it stuck to my boot and I was able to dribble past everyone and score from my box
Does the *Zipper* provide *Ankle support* ?
well never know
No, but if the boot has zipper+ acc then yes
Under armors future
Well yes but actually no
😂😂😂😂
think about laceless products for a second.... Aren't you technically paying more, for less 🤔
Silty Scorpion And..?

Yo smart arse. Because, they take the laces out for you. Og 🙄
The removal of laces is the addition of quality.
i’m a teen and i’m growing so i took the laces out of my superfly 5s and it actually felt better. Maybe i’ll install a zipper next time ;)

No ankle support unfortunately. It does have ACC though.

Yeah and plus if you in a hurried situation you need to put them things fast
My last 4 pairs were superflys, and to me the sock didn’t give me any support, but it made me feel more comfortable in the boot.

Whenever somebody on my team buys a new pair of football boots:
"OMG Are they ACC?"
True not actual ankle support but in the initial couple wears, I feel it gives a little extra compression feeling with the Superflys and Phantoms.
I bought the Nike vapor 13 pro wore them to a game and everyone on my team said why don’t you get the sock and acc I said you all should buy them yourself if it’s such a big problem

The laces can be a hinderance if they are too long, of course can be fixed by shortening the laces
I just like high tops because I play on turf and it stops the black bits from going in.
I am constantly playing soccer and I love my leather laced boots. Thank you for informing the world and make me no longer look ridiculous.
Always prefer boots with laces, since the size of our foot changes throughout the yea, sometimes even during games.

Jonah that was the best intro omg they keep getting better
The only reason I use laceeless boots is because I'm a goalkeeper and I hate taking off my gloves just to tie them
I have to move up laces further up the lace holes as I want to wear certain boots but I have odd shaped feet
This might be the best SR4U video ever.
I always thought that the mid cut was just for comfort and for turf
(I use mid cut because it is more comfortable)
4:24 weird flex but ok
Jk dude that was sick love the channel btw
My personal reasoning for having mid-cuts is that I am notorious for having my boots fall of mid game and the collar keeps them from falling off.
I belive that laceless cleats actualy help because when you strike the ball, you kick with your laces which can redirect the ball.
I take off the laces when the shoes get small , it feels new and bigger when you do so.
Josh have you encountered any durability issues with your Vapor 12 elites? asking because i have now had two pairs which the upper have ripped on, one after about a month of wearing five times a week, and the other on just the second time i wore them. other than that a great product, but with an obvious flaw like this one i don't think ill be getting them again

i got laceless boots because tbh, nomatter what my boots somehow untie, even when i used tape to put the down they still untied so... yeah
I’ve always thought of ACC as when they add texturing to the boot to provide more surface area for the boot to have more contact with the ball
That's not what ACC is.

I asked my team mate what the collar on his Nike take-down mercurials do.

If soccer ball/football doesn't have a lot air, could it damage the ball as in the panels begin to peel off?
If it's a little low on air, I would think the ball should be fine. I wouldn't go kicking around a ball that is totally flat though.

he makes it sound like acc helps your touch. it’s either you have a good touch or not😩
Talking about ACC, what about adidas' ControlSkin (Predator 18), NSG (X), or techfit?
NSG would be the tech to compare to ACC. Again, I don't think it did anything, but at least you could see it.
