Thanks Amy, for the buns I used: - 400-450 grams all purpose flour (more or less) - 1/2 cup sugar - 1/2 tsp salt - 1/2 tbsp crushed cardamom (optional) - 1 1/4 cups lukewarm milk - 25 grams fresh yeast, I'm not sure what's the equivalent in dry yeast - 1 egg - 80 grams soften butter - Combine flour and crushed cardamom - Dissolve yeast in lukewarm milk, add egg, sugar and salt until dissolved - Gradually add flour mixture until dough begins to form - Add soften butter and continue to knead until the dough is no longer sticky -Let it rise until double in size

Yes, it really was. Very risky but also very normal here in Finland specially when we start transitioning from winter to spring. Thankfully, in situations like this walking paths are regularly sprinkled with grit sand 😊

That’s right, it’s a typical Rome sweet, the maritozzi with cream. But around Italy there are many similar sweets. For example, the same dough in Sicily is called brioche and it's eaten cut in two with ice cream. Or, for breakfast with coffee granita with cream :)
In Italy, everything there was delicious. One of the best seafood platter I had was in a seaside restaurant in one of the villages in Cinque Terre.. best day of my life 😊
