MashaAllah very rational man. I read a couple of articles on Islamqa and the interpretations of certain ayat was incorrect. There is nothing wrong with Muslims being even close friends with non Muslims. As long as they do not harm you or your religion or are of evil character.

Actually in Islam Harming other human beings is a sin If a Muslim himself goes against the rules of Islam, he will also be punished .. Allah commands us , not to do evil to anyone who does evil to you ..
Allah commands us to be patient , Allah commands us to do good, not to lie , and backbite , not to kill and etc ..
It has been narrated that the Prophet (pbuh) was asked:”O Messenger of Allah, which of the Muslims is best?” and he said'”He who the Muslims are safe from his tongue and his hand.”
This is Islam .. this is what Allah commands us ..
Those who commit terrorism and call it Islam will be punished ..
Allah says in the Quran : "And whoever kills an innocent soul it is as if he had slain mainkind entirely and whoever saves a life it is as though he had saved the lives of all mankind" Surah Maidah (5:32) ..
Quran( 3:195 ) Surah Al-Imran :" Men and Women have Equal rewards for their deeds" .
Surah Taha ( 20:111) "whoever harm others will become a loser "
Don't believe in whatever you hear about Islam and think before saying anything bad about Islam .. terrorism has nothing to do with Islam .. and think a little that why we Muslims try to spread the teachings of Islam , why we people always try to defend islam ,why we Believe in Only Allah , why we have faith in Quran and Islam because we have find peace in it and only a Muslim knows the sweetness of Quran , only Muslims knows that what it feels like when you are connected to ALLah SWT .. Islam is Peaceful and we know it is a true path , ALLAH U AKBAR .... We are blessed and we want the Non-Muslims to get this peace by the will of Almighty ALLah , we Muslims wants to spread the teachings of Islam because we know it's the only right path , we are aware of Shaitaan and In Quran Allah says : " Indeed Satan ,to man , is a manifest enemy" ( Al-Quran , 2:208 )

Many brothers use the term “not real Muslim”, because this is very dangerous. They might call him a munafiq which is giving him takfir.
They could say “not practicing Muslim” or “sinner”.

Allah said in quran suratul Hujurat (49) verse 13 "O humanity! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may ˹get to˺ know one another. Surely the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you. Allah is truly All-Knowing, All-Aware."
Despite of what is your religion, nationality, races, or maybe skin color you should have interact or knowing each other, it means you can also make friends with everyone even to non muslims.
Non muslims will take away the taqwa from a muslim, whoever has read and understand the quran may think its very strict. Whatever the quran says is true because its the words of god. Non muslims dont believe in the quran, Allah and his last and final messenger, which means the qurans teachings are meaningless to them.
The sheikh is only saying facts.

just last wk in my coaster area a boat carrying some nonmuslims capsized nd 16 ppl drowned nd 1or 2 cascets were carried by Muslims upto d cemetery gate may b as a good will gesture bcs time to time there r differences cropping up btwn other faiths too nd it seems a little bond as d area of d cemetery mostly they were Muslims.

Should we break friendship with our friends with whom our mom says to break friendship with and says block him and don't have any kind of relation with him from now in order to be a obedient child? Is it allowed to break the friendship with anyone & to block him in islam ?
If the friend is a bad influence, is not fearful of Allah azawajal, and/or is kafir, and you feel your mother has your best interest in mind, then it would be wise to heed her advice.

However he seems to have confused this with the concept of “being friends”, to be friends with a non-believer for the sake of friends was the topic of discussion but he talked about something else (which is about being friendly).

The word 'friend' has a level of ambiguity in my opinion. If it's friend by just being kind to one another, and just helping each other, that's fine. If it's friend in trusting each other, and being very close, that is not allowed

so if he/she was a non muslim, meaning they believed in a different God in this lifetime, that means we should not pray for them.

I am so confused. Islamqa says you can not have non-muslim friends, assimimal hakim says you can not have non-muslims as close friends, and this sheikh says the opposite. So many opinions. Its confusing me.

Can you give evidence how delicious a food is? The only way is to taste it yourself. I am enjoying my life right now after living a false life for so long.
