Bethesda 2011: Ok guys, this game set in a pseudo viking theme is perfect, all we need is 3 dlc packs, and im sure the modding community will just add some different textures and weapons, etc. were good! Some modder 2014: You know what this game is missing, fucking pirates! God the internet can be great sometime.
RandomLord777 Upgraded energy based lifeform Omega Yes Viking Technically means Pirate, But fwy Skyrim and the nords are infact based off Viking i mean its pretty obvious and Bethesda have said it themselves
RandomLord777 Upgraded energy based lifeform Omega Yeah I know I am just saying that that is there main Base, there not all based purley on Vinking just like the Imperials are mostly based off of The Romans, and I think the Bretons are based off french etc
This mod needs more background than just a blue sky and calm water, its need waves (if they can make that), fog (becuase if i remember correctly, that sea did have alot of fog) or a little island far in the background
Fogs sounds really nice, and I believe in a mod called Colorful Spells, there's a spell that simulates a large wave with a waterfall mesh. Might work nicely when tweaked and scaled properly. Edit: Seems fogs are already added since v1.1
***** It does open up potential for future content. Think on AC Black Flag, for example. Skyrim's openness would work great that way, if the ship can be made to move on player command.
The Godlygamer YEAH becuase in the main game there isn't any fucking fog so you can have a nicer area instead of a fucking void of water, or you could add some rocks to make an island and a 1000000 damage creature that oneshots you when getting to close, yeah that is so imposible to do in skyrim
All of the armours and weapons used in the video are bundled in with the mod. They're borrowed (with permission) from other mods though, so if you want direct links to those then you can find them on the mod page!
BizarreHD Wait for the summer sale. You might be able to get it as low as $5 or $10 for the game with all dlc included. I've had the game since it came out, and have put almost 2000 hours into the game, if you count the time I spend making mods with the creation kit.
Cj Lange Yeah i have $7.50 right now just waiting also getting $10 on steam wallet. It's so annoying seeing other games i want BUT skyrim on sale. Also there is on average 40k people playing skyrim so it has a community
I love the modding community. Genius after genius... The game is 70000x better with stuff like this, Falskaar, Wyrmstooth, immersion mods, graphical mods, etc.
The only thing missing for the modding community is for Bethesda to add some kind of updates that takes the top mods, and adapt the whole world to these mods. For example, how many times did I die in Wyrmstooth, just because I have Frostfall enabled? Of course I could have desactivated it but for the immersion, I just make all the settings ready and touch the menu only one time at the beginning of the game. This mod has broken my immersion but it's not their fault, frostfall isn't an entire mod for no reason.
0:51 I find it quite funny how Brodual just jumped into the ocean while explaining that 'first of all you can look around to see if you can find anything unusual.' That text couldn't be shown off more visual. :P Very well done mod. I can see how this will add a lot of immersion and refreshing new things to do to the game.
Why would a dragon be at sea? No place for it to land and rest, and almost nothing burns. Unless it's an aquatic dragon (which would require a unique dragon model and A.I) that just makes no sense at all.
icyscout I guess that's possible from a technical standpoint, but it still wouldn't make a large degree of sense. He wouldn't have a reason for being out at sea. There's also no ground for it to land, so fighting it would force you to go ranged, which is annoying. And dragon vs boat = blub blub blub (That's the sound of the boat sinking).
The minute you might think the Skyrim modding community is slowing down, it pulls out something like this. :D Fantastic mod review on what looks to be a fantastic mod. Eager to see where the mod creator takes this little gem!
Wow, this mod looks fantastic. I'm really looking forward to playing this in Skyrim for myself. I love how these mods help to extend the life of this game and give you new elements to play.
There should be random encounters with Revered Dragon or other dragons, and have like Damage % on the boat, so that you have to kill the dragon fast or else your boat will sink. That would be cool :3
If elder scrolls vi is set in elsewhyre I want to see instead of bandits pirates which would be awesome adventuring the sea and islands to find treasure which would be awesome.
It would be cool if you could choose to sail to Solstheim in your ship and in the process encounter 1 of these random events. That way it feels like you're making a progressive trip rather than just sailing to sea for plunder.
This MUST work with Beyond skyrim when it comes out!! Sailing all around tamriel! Man Id stock up, have a toilet installed and just game for however long I possibly can.
***** Damn, you commented almost a full year after my original comment. Good for you. Though I suspect youre lying for obvious reasons. (Anyone else reading, click his g+)
"Fifteen men on the dead man's chest-- ...Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum! Drink and the devil had done for the rest-- ...Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!"
It could be awesome if this mod gets a feature were the different holds (or the empire with large ship fleet events) has a price out for your piracy and thus you'll be hunted as well. That should make for a ton of fun :)
I remember back in 2012 thinking about something like this, along with having ballista on either side like cannons, sailing from a 3rd person view behind the wheel, firing the ballistae by angling the ship etc. Then i saw the sailing mechanics in ACIII and thought "great minds think alike" and when Black Flag came out on PC I waited a month or so (I always wait at least one month before buying a newly released game, give time for the patches to make it playable.) I got it, and after finding out how to get it so that I could actually SAVE MY GAME, I was off having fun. Shame that even with the Beyond skyrim mod, I doubt anything like AC's sailing mechanics could ever be used in skyrim, too much hardcoded aspects would need to be altered I fear.
im just imaging my mained character sitting in her empress chair about to be served the finest Breton cuisine and says "I've done everything you can do in skyrim..." "hmmm I know! im going to go and be a fucking pirate!"
imagine elder scrolls 6 but they actually added ships and sailing, like they literally make elder scrolls sea of thieves almost, but thats a small side activity. would be pretty cool not gonna lie, but as long as the main land is fucking ripe with everything first
Has potential, but I feel it'd be like one of those well thought out gimmick mods that you're super excited to try, then never do again after a few rounds. If they got a full team working on it, I could see it being exciting, but I can't help but thing like a lot of this stuff will get repetitive.
I hope someone one day makes an overhaul or something for the aesthetics of ships. The ones in vanilla skyrim look pretty bland and unrealistic. If they could make more believable looking ships that were faction specific, like Drakkars for the nords, Triremes for the imperials, and galleys or something similar for traders, it would be much more immersive.

why would there be shirtless pirates in the sea of ghosts? skyrim's north is already cold as balls, and i can't imagine a sea thats full of ice in areas (around winterhold) would be any warmer
+Short Kid Ross - Survival Games and More! add the dishonored abilities like i did and this mod in skyrim is probably the best thing ever lol also sofia XD
If I can’t at least _see_ another Continent or fight Sea Serpents with a mod that lets me fight with Melee Weapons underwater to fight Sea Serpents, I’m not getting this.
i have a few questions: 1. What mod are you using for the armor 2. what mod are you using for the weapons 3. has this mod changed sense this video was made
This has been mentioned in many videos, but why do mods often have areas that are simply way too big. The ships was the size of a small castle and yet the internal areas are still far too large (and box-shaped) to fit inside it. Why do this? There are many mods which have much more realistic sizes and they work perfectly well.

RandomLord777 Upgraded energy based lifeform Omega Oh i get that, just given the story of this game and the pirates their using, its just kinda funny.

Well, so much for mod support...
Every single mod you post I need
I WANNA FIGHT SEA DRAGONS!!
Why would a dragon be at sea? No place for it to land and rest, and almost nothing burns. Unless it's an aquatic dragon (which would require a unique dragon model and A.I) that just makes no sense at all.
Serana It could land on ice bergs, and could breathe frost.
icyscout I guess that's possible from a technical standpoint, but it still wouldn't make a large degree of sense. He wouldn't have a reason for being out at sea. There's also no ground for it to land, so fighting it would force you to go ranged, which is annoying. And dragon vs boat = blub blub blub (That's the sound of the boat sinking).
Serana You're such a killjoy, just like the real Serana.
Astus16 Having a critical mind is a virtue. I'd like the idea if it was a sea serpent or something
they should add a heavy fog effect to the seascape, that disappearing ocean bothers me.
I just find that the amount of detail and persuasive points in these videos are amazing,I counted 12 reasons from your video why I should download it
It's just a review but I'm already stunned by the quality of the mod, definitely gonna download this
The minute you might think the Skyrim modding community is slowing down, it pulls out something like this. :D Fantastic mod review on what looks to be a fantastic mod. Eager to see where the mod creator takes this little gem!
This mod looks absolutely amazing! I can't wait to give it a go in Skyrim. Thanks for letting us know about the mod.

+C Jordan don't be that guy
Uh, Elsweyr is not exactly what I'd call an archipelago, so why would pirates replace bandits?
It would be more fitting to do so for Hammerfell or Summerset Isles I think
Inb4 "This should of been in vanilla."
But in all honesty, i need to change my pants. This is amazing.
this guy could win the modding contest, can he??
Will definitely get this when I go back to Skyrim.
WOW WHAT TIMEING I WAS JUST LOOKING FOR A MOD LIKE THIS BECAUSE OF MY NORTHERN CARDINAL HOME THANKS YOU READ MINDS
I only watched this video for the dancing at the end.
It would be cool if you could choose to sail to Solstheim in your ship and in the process encounter 1 of these random events. That way it feels like you're making a progressive trip rather than just sailing to sea for plunder.
Now just get Regal Assassin armor and you have Elder Scrolls 5: Black Flag
1:24 ahahahhahahahahah look at guy just hopelessly falling off the board
Would love to see a pirate quest line with this mod.
Gooooooddd why can't this be on skyrim SE

Arr Brodual fresh in on a rising tide me hearty, you put the sparkle in me eye ya do, lets plunder some scurvy ridden, pox laden, bilge swillers now !
This mod offers me the possibility to actually fight the Dominion....without open warfare thus lore-friendly.....I like that.
Now I can roleplay as the straw hats and become the pirate king. Thank you BigBizkit!
These mods are coming out quicker than usual.
there MUST be an addition to this that adds big sea monsters :D
Sailing and Treasure Hunting! HELL YEAH!

I was thinking of doing a parody of "brodual" and as a homage I'll do my impersonation of his voice.
So.. What you're saying I can be a norse-pirate-dragonslaying-magic wielding-legend of the seas.. I'm IN!
hmmmmm... I kinda wish there was something similar to this that let you be a viking raider.. suits the theme a bit more XD
Divaad95 just outfit your crew with Viking-esk gear and roleplay it

Finally, something for my Redguard to do. :D
This is a great mod. But wait on it.
Cargo ship on the port side!!! Man the cannons boys we're getting payed today!!!!!
suddenly, ive remembered edward kenway
This made me think of Dragon Pirates.
Have had an idea for a character; Argonian Pirate, pillages and gets drunk afterwards. Looks like I have found my endgame mod : )

FINALLLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There should be a mod where you can sail ships! I mean c'mon there are fuckin' airship mods!
Needs some work, but it could end up being one of the best Skyrim mods out there if they keep working on it.
I can't wait!
VIKING means RAIDER.
I can't believe that isn't represented in the Skyrim setting.
does this work with skyrim special edition on the xbox one
I hope someone one day makes an overhaul or something for the aesthetics of ships. The ones in vanilla skyrim look pretty bland and unrealistic. If they could make more believable looking ships that were faction specific, like Drakkars for the nords, Triremes for the imperials, and galleys or something similar for traders, it would be much more immersive.
Long Boats are supposed to look bland...
Long boats in real life are quite interesting looking in my opinion, and either way the proportions in skyrim are all weird
so many better mods to be made. I honestly don't understand skyrim gamers and their bizarre infatuation with retarded texture mods. The game is like 5 years old now. PC gamers and their graphic obsession is beyond me. Game doesn't need good graphics to be good.
So.. you hope that boats look less like boats and more like mystical magical fairy tail boats? These boats look like what they are based off of, nordic boats. If you want terrible looking fantasy boats go to the nexus instead of wishing for something that exists, dumbass.
The Godlygamer ***** You've both misunderstood me
Port to Xbox please, so many mods that aren't on Xbox which make the game even funnier
That dance at the end is disturbing! But I still watched it?
why would there be shirtless pirates in the sea of ghosts? skyrim's north is already cold as balls, and i can't imagine a sea thats full of ice in areas (around winterhold) would be any warmer
