That line rung true for me when i had to let go of my ex. We didn't want the same things; she was in it for something totally different. I realized that I couldn't be in something one-sided anymore and I couldn't love nobody walking on a one-way street. Now, I'm doing better with somebody that's walking on a two-way street with me and my life has been a lot better since I let her go.

My dad would drive me to school as a kid and this song would always come on the radio. Didn't know what the meaning of it at the time but it would just make me sad for no reason and i would have to fight back tears. I would ask my dad to change the station his reply was always "no son" Now that i have grown up and matured this is song stays in rotation.
