Thank you both for sharing this. We happen to have a free English Heritage day thanks to our mobile provider so Stonehenge is now top of the list. It's amazing to think how long it has been there.
Love how it still had a Disney day feel... you "rope-dropped", they had shuttle buses, magic shots, and you did 10,000+ steps 😁

And there was a quickserve 😂(shame they didn’t have mobile order)
That’s a great perk by the way x

Hi Ade & Lisa. I live in Canada so my chances of visiting England is probably not going to happen. I really enjoy your videos but really like when you hop in the car and drive somewhere. It's like a history lesson and I always Google everyplace you visit. Thank you.

I have been to Stonehenge loads of times as my dad was in the army and we lived in Larkhill behind Stonehenge and I went to school in Durrington.
I went in 1969 and there was only a hut with a man asking for 10p. We used to climb on the rocks. We also are English Heritage members and recently went to the new centre.

you are taking me back to my childhood when you visit places in this area. I lived there all of my senior school years from 1965 to 1970. My dad signed on for an extra year in the army so I could do my O levels. I don’t know if they still do it but there was a point to point horse racing day with a fair every year near Larkhill

Definitely go to Salisbury cathedral it is beautiful and has the Magna Carta and a very old clock. I went to Old Sarum and Woodhenge with my school.

That’s so cool. I went to the cathedral on a school trip but don’t remember anything really apart from the picnic outside 😂

lol first time I went to stonehenge I lived in Devizes and I was 12 , you could just pull up on the road and walk over ! We could touch the stones and climb on them ! Last time I went was at age 16 again and same ! I remember in 1977 you could no longer do that ! There was no visitor centres in those days ( I don’t remember there being one ) I love all the white horses , the walks around there are fabulous!
