Its been a years since ive first watched you and im glad that youre still posting. I was around elementary when i watched you, now im in college and cant help but wonder what course you took
Probably not helpful to you: I have a degree in English Literature with a minor in Spanish. I learned on the job as a photojournalist covering gardens for Sunset and other publications.
Thank you for sharing. I live in Sacramento that has very hot and dry summers and colder winters. I am going to your weboage now to make note of plants that I would like to add to my garden
Always enjoy going with you to visit succulent gardens. I am in central Florida and we don't have such beautiful succulent gardens here. We have tropical gardens. Thank you.
As a South African gardening on my game farm in Namibia, I am now also collecting aloes, although I live in a summer rainfall area. My latest pride is acquiring a few Aloe Bainsii's. They are simply splendid when fully grown .Thank you for this beautiful video in which I see many of the plants that are in my own gardens!
(Sigh) Believe me, most of these plants can not survive over 2 months of 110º and 90º every night and no rain at all here in the my Phoenix area. So many plants have died. Even in part shade, the constant heat alone is a killer. And there is nothing I can do about it. I so love your video and wish I lived in such a place as Southern California!!! It makes me feel good to see all these happy succulents! Thanks for the video, Debra!
Those nighttime temps 😖 are the nail in the coffin. But some of the gardens I like best are in AZ. I think if I lived there I’d paint a wall coral pink, put a big blue agave in front of it, surround it with gravel, and add a palo verde off to the side.
I would love to try Aloe cameronii also. I have a gardening friend here in Phoenix that has one in the shade. It turns lightly red but not like in full sun in CA!

@@QueenofSucculents Love the idea AND it would do well! Color, color, color!
Which succulents does this make you want to add to your garden? Maybe it's time to rethink those you thought were hard to grow!
aloe cameronii
The big cluster of Cotyledon tomentosa is gorgeous 😍
