That kind of attitude isn’t abnormal, even 100 years later. I’m really glad that it’s been relatively easy for us to raise our son in several different traditions (I even wrote a children’s book about it)!
Downton Abbey feels so real to me . It is like When I look at artwork that's been painted hundreds of years ago. I find myself Swept Away into the painting as if I were there and living that life. I believe I'm just a deep dreamer or thinker. I wonder if anyone else has those feelings or thoughts? Especially paintings that I see in the late 1800s I'm completely mesmerized. Tom Brady took photos of Abraham Lincoln during his inauguration . The White House only partially built. Just sweeps me away into the streets where horses are and one or two vehicles. Oh no I'm going there okay bye-bye LOL LOL
The White House had to be rebuilt at least three times. Yes, I understand Tina's feelings. They had their time that is "Gone with the Wind." I am old enough now to have seen several "yesterdays." What has happened with my country? All of my old friends are now gone to their reward.
I loved Lord Sinderby so much. His aura and confidence and self respect for himself, extremely dignified; loved him so much. I also felt like that scheme was way beneath him. He would never stoop so low, if he bent on stopping the wedding or the marriage, he would have said so plainly as he did and he would have found a way to hold his ground, but not by messy, petty methods
I learned this from watching Ilymations, but Lord Sinderby isn’t just being stubborn with Rose not being Jewish. The passing of the religious legacy IS determined by the mother according to Jewish tradition. That is why I believe it especially irks him.
The way Julian Fellows writes these characters in certain situations can sometimes be so unrealistic it's irritating. The men are always telling the women how to deal with a situation and in direct and concise instructions. I'm pretty sure Rose would've gone to confront Atticus without Tom's moronic self having to tell her in great detail to do so.
I wish this clip included Shrimpie (rose's father) figuring out that Susan (rose's mother) was the one who set up Atticus and confronting her about it
YESSSS!! That scene is Major. Especially when he calls her a cat. (And not in a good way.) Susan is the true definition of a narcissist.
I totally agree.
They don’t show to much in these clips
Because of work, I never saw these 😢😢😢. I love that you shared this bit of information. Makes it more fun for me.
Oh it was the Mother?
"My dear love is a far more dangerous motive than dislike."
So true
@@l.a.3479 Especially when you think about who setup the Entire incident in the first place.
Hoping for a part two to this. The scene with Shrimpie figuring out who was behind the photos is very important.
"GET DOWN YOU CAT!!!!" One of my favorite lines of the series.
Tom was literally the older brother I loved his character in the show
The actor who plays Atticus is so handsome, why isn't he more famous 😭
Because of his nose

Mary's outfit is very elegant. For the rest, wait and see!😅

One of our daughters has visited Highclere and said she was surprised to find that if isn't quite as grand as it appears on the show.

What an amazing show. I will have to watch it again now. 😊❤

In the Victorian age people knew and accepted their place in life, people were more in control of themselves then they are today.
