Aussie Pubs of the Day - Shipwright Arms Hotel, Battery Point Hobart

Travelling around Australia we have found many travellers show their destinations, accommodations, favourite spots, places & scenery.
Many times they mention a pub they stop at and enjoy a drink &/or a meal, but never do they show the pub itself and what else it has to offer.
Pete loves a drink or ten, as does his partner Donna, and they enjoy. unique pubs & hotels especially ones that have something a little different.

Good one Pete, agree with you on the mix of new and old - should probably pick one and stick with it. Love the history of the joint though, I'll check it out next time I'm in the southern isle

Thanks Pete...yeah i totally agree they really stuffed up the pub tryng to do a 'Henry Jones' style pub. It was supposed to be finished in Oct 2022 but just completed in Dec. The new area at the back echo's and is noisy when its busy. No atmosphere and yes they stripped the old maritime pix inside the restaurant. Hopefully they will add some large maritime art in the new tunnel (reception) and even a few portholes ! The food is a bit exy now even the bar menu you get less for more $ . Love the old pub. Cheers.
