I've never enjoyed a Steely Dan cover band....until I heard this!!; Very enjoyable in it's fresh and energetic sound!! Not simply a "dead on imitation";bravo!! Your group is a great ambassador for Steely Dan !
"The Nightfly" is one of favorite albuns, ever. I palyed it from top to bottom surely more than a hundred times. This versions are perfect!!! What a joy to listen to, the best I ever heard.!!! Thank you. Greetings from Portugal.
And you do a great Donald fagen which is not easy, the other tribute bands singers sound nothing at all like Donald fagen, I wanna hear you do all the steely Dan songs, especially the albums aja and the royal scam, my. All time 2 favorites
The mix is imperfect - the bass is hidden to the point that is is a muffled background subtone. Too bad cause the rest I hear clearly. That being said their homage to the genius of Donald Fagen is spot on.
Glad you said that, I agree entirely. I have listened to this album thousands of times and as a multi instrument musician I compare it to visiting a top quality restaurant. Everything beautifully balanced. This band is brilliant but that lack of the complex bass lines was distracting.
@@tombekistan Hallo meneer Beek. Wow, dat lijkt me echt fantastisch!
Tom Beek A note from Texas that I love your style, your playing and ideas, and especially your tone. I really wanted to hear your take on Brecker’s solo on Maxine. I am happy to have found your playing and enjoy your solos in this band. Keep up the great work and I look forward to hearing more from you!
I love these guys, they are super talented, and the lead vocalist is arguably better at delivering Donald's vocals than the great man himself. The only other SD/DF cover band I know of in this league is TN Keys/Scot Sherrif and Tim Akers, who have even had Larry Carlton jojn them on stage. Check out their videos too.
From the FOOT of mount Malzoni (or whatever)? Stations prefer that their radio signals do their thing from major heights, not lows. So shouldn't our main man Donald have instead written "from the PEAK of mount Malzoni"? Just sayin'.
It's Mount Belzoni. Belzoni was a famous Italian explorer who was the first to enter the Chefren Pyramid, where he left his showy signature in capital letters (I saw it).
Terrible how this video chops up a very carefully arranged album. This production does a huge disservice to Fagen. The musicians are excellent; too bad their good work gets butchered by this attempt at a medley.
I am more and more convinced that The Nightfly is one of the all time truly great albums.
This New Yorker has never heard a better Donald Fagan cover.

very glad you included "won't you poor me a Cuban Breeze Gretchen"
He mentions in his very readable book Eminent Hipsters about Gretchen being (Goethe's) Faust's lover.
@@markroberts171 I love Eminent Hipsters x
Oh you can’t do without Gretchen’s Cuban Breeze!
If you're lookin' for a carbon copy? Well here it is. A tribute to the music of Donald Fagin. Nicely done.

Same here.
One of the best things ever ... me (ger)man 70 ... steely fan from ricky don't lose that number ... 🤔🤫🤗🙏
By far the best Steely Dan/Donald Fagen tribute band.
Great rendition and execution. It's wonderful to see a talented group's adaptation of an album such as The Nightfly.
Dank jullie.....
Incredibly lovely tribute. Thank you, Tom ♥️♥️♥️
it'd be great to see the whole show
Exactly, Robbie!
I Agree 1000%
Brilliant! With wonderful musicianship.
Your vocals are exactly what the songs call for. Attitude and placement sound unique but still faithful to Donald’s voice. Awesome job guys 👍👍👍
Very good performance - thanks!
EXCELLENT!!! Close your eyes and it's Steely Dan in its best form. NICELY DONE!!!! I bow to all of you.

Great cover! The song is called IGY of course.
They play fragments of seven songs. Titles are in the description.
Heel goede, vrienden!
Men. Beek wat bent u een fantastische saxofonist!!
Sendi Wessel wow dankjewel Sendi !

@@masapell Thank you so much !!
Great job, nut, what about the “turn-around” in Lester the Night Fly “There once was a time…”?
Clarification: “you’ll never believe it, but there was once a time…” - What true brilliance!
Lekker!!! Love it!!!
Prachtig project.
Dankjewel Enrico !
Lekker man!
dank Paul !
Did the soundman forget to plug in the bass?

Not a fan of SD covers mainly to due to the vocals but these guys and ladies are superior than most of the ones I’ve heard so far .
Where I find the full concert?
This is all there is. A small part (Maxine) had some hiccups so we decided to publish it as a medley. We'll do something in the future.
Bill balls covering these songs. Generally excellent. The snare was a little too prominate in the mix😊
Geweldig dit. Spelen jullie nog ergens live dit jaar? (2018 that is) Ik rij ervoor om...
21 sept in De Vorstin (Hsum) !
Kijk anders op royaldutchscam.nl of op onze FB page, thanks!

The worst part of this video is when it ended. :(
Bill Burr on keys...
Backup singers are flat..and three of them!? If they’re taking almost half the pay they should at least sing on key
Have to agree. Backup singers were off key.
Sings better than Donald...😎

It's not a medley, we played the full album - this is only a promo compilation, cut for video.
Why not promote yourselves smartly and put up the entire video?
