I'd love more favourites videos like this over on this channel if you're interested in doing them Hannah - picked up some good books & shows from these videos over the years!
Missed these kinds of videos hannah! Loved it. Could you please talk about finance or budgetting on more hannah as well? We could be nerding out about savings and budgets!!!
I remember watching the No1 Ladies Detective Agency tv show when I was younger and I loved it, but I'd completely forgotten about it until now. I may have to give the books a read!
I love The Good Place, it’s brilliant! It’s funny, emotional and has excellent writing. I can’t wait for the last episodes but also don’t want it to end!
old school favourites videos are still my favourite thing to watch ❤️ also don’t feel bad about talking about gifted shows its still so interesting to hear your reviews and recommendations! and at the end of the day anyone who follows you knows you work hard for it, good for you!! 💛
4:18 YES!! His Dark Materials is amazing - I really enjoyed the daemons quiz that BBC did on Twitter (surprised that I didn't get a cat tbh, but I suppose a bird suits me more!!)
The boy in the fish shed from The Northern Lights still haunts me to this day, but the series is still one of my favs! I'll put in time for a re-read before I start the new TV show, though! (You sold me on the adaptation, all you needed to say was RUTH WILSON!)
If you want to see theatre but money is tight do check the theatres website/social media. Lots of companies do rush tickets, subscriptions, and inexpensive previews. Also check out shows that aren’t on the west end. They tend to be cheaper and have programs for accessibility.
The RSC gender-switched Taming of the Shrew is the play that the GCSE drama students at my school study for their live play! My whole year group watched it (I don't take drama) and it was so good! The only confusing thing was the way that they kinda changed all the names but didn't change Kate's? That was a bit strange but I loved the rest
I agree about the taming of the shrew- I saw it and it really made me realise how outrageous the concept really is... For those people who argue that Shakespeare was a feminist.... He wasn't!!
Yeah... wholeheartedly agree! I saw it too a few years back and wow... It helped that the troup performing it made it very comedic and accentuated how awful it is through their comedic timing.
im not a shakespeare expert at all but my understanding was that it was always meant to have an aspect of social commentary, like be really in your face partly to make a point about marriage. but that could just be what i took from it
Don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet but a few years ago The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency was made into a wonderful TV show. Highly recommend checking it out, especially if you aren't sure if you are going to read the next few books right away :D
I was really excited to see what you thought of no.1 ladies detective agency, I'm super glad you're enjoying it, and I would definitely recommend the rest of the series, in any order, they're INCREDIBLE, there's like 20 of them
Also Shakespeare deliberately did things like the Taming of the Shrew to highlight these sorts of issues. He was a bit of a feminist ;) (I’d recommend looking up Kiss Me Kate as well)
You briefly mentioned a money pot thing in this vid. Would you consider doing a video on how you save and budget money? Especially as someone planning a wedding?
Headed to the used book store after work this afternoon to hopefully pick up some books you mentioned in this favorites and your 2019 books Vlognukah video too!! I’ve loved this series so much!!
The lion king is my favorite movie (counting the two movies as one) of all time and I actually prefer the second one over the first!!!!! You should definitely watch it!
Do love a show but it requires juggling as I live an hour away from the city which usually means a matinee performance or evening and driving back home for around midnight or staying over. I'm seeing the Lion King again in March for my birthday for the second time. Would also recommend Kinky Boots which has finished it's UK tour but is being screened in cinemas in Feb. 😁
I love gentlemen's guide to vice and virtue so muchhhhh! I read it on pdf in one night till 6am 😂😂 I rlly need to re-read it again!! There's a sequel with his sister & a short story with him & monty!
I watched this documentary about Shakespeare like ages ago and the presenter commented on how different the taming of the shrew is from his other works. They were like ‘it could be because he needed money’ or maybe it’s just because he’s as still part of society? I can’t remember everything but it was an interesting documentary...
I'm curious how the book Hannah mentioned is related to the musical A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. Because the titles are similar, and the main character's name is the same, but the plot sounds entirely different.
I saw an all-female Taming of the Shrew at the Globe about 15 years ago. Shakespeare is always fun to do that sort of thing with, I think particularly when you remember it would have all be originally performed by male-only casts. I definitely agree that Shrew is problematic by today's standards!
I went on a school trip to the gender switched taming of the shrew and I agree it was amazing! definitely made me question Shakespeare though because the message was literally WOMEN SHOULD OBEY THIER HUSBANDS 😂
Baby Yoda, baby baby Yoda! Baby Yoda, baby baby Yoda! Okay Now that I have that out of my system for the moment, I feel like saying that one of the ahah ahah s is better than the other isn't fair. Ariel's is my childhood But also the foundation of which Elsa's is based on. Little mermaid was released 30 years ago So Elsa's is just our new ahah ahah. I didn't realize i had so many feelings about this... Also gotta add 'Lost in the woods' to the faves for me. Then 'Show yourself' 80's rock ballad music video is just so amazing
You saw Hamilton didn't you? Any advice for a first timer who doesn't know the story at all? Like is it best to find out the story b4? & see it in america? Im in the uk so theres west end too i guess? Sorry it looks so good im eager 😂
P Lestrange I’ve seen Hamilton twice and the first time I watched it I hadn’t even listened to the soundtrack! I went in blind and it was insanely good but o came out of the theatre a little mind blown ... took a couple of days to sink in! The next time I had listened to the soundtrack and knew the story and it was equally as good! Also - I’ve heard London is better than the nyc version! Also much cheaper!
I enjoy your favourites videos and this one is no exception ! I've heard a lot about Rick and Morty lately and it's popped up on my Netflix recommendations, I need to check it out someday ! No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency has been on my reading list for years too, and I love short stories, I need to finally get around to reading it ! And I hadn't heard about the Mackenzi Lee book before you mentioned it in a recent video, but it sounds fun and interesting; a story with LGBTQIA+ characters set in the 19th century : yes please (I wish I had been able to get my hands on books like this when i was a teenager and still in the closet) !! Edit: Apparently there's a sequel about Monty's sister too, 'A Lady's Guide to Petticoats and Piracy", love the title ! Can't wait to visit the vagina museum next time I visit London (I live in France, so probably not until next summer though) ! Don't feel bad about talking about shows you were gifted tickets to ! I enjoy the theater too (wish I could go more often though..), and I love your enthusiasm and hearing your opinions about it (I haven't experienced it yet, but immersive theater sounds great...), thanks for the recommendations ! I'm really enjoying this daily Vlognukah series too, probably gonna miss it a bit when it ends ! and
I love show yourself so much. I thought it was much better than into the unknown, and I really want them to release the music video, but they probably wont until the DVD is out because it's pretty spoilery
Lion King II is much better than Little Mermaid 2. I like both, but both are better than the Swan Princess 2 :P Not seen Frozen 2 yet but it's on my list.
i dont know that your supposed to watch the taming of the shrew and think the things in the play are a good idea, its hard to know shakespears intention but from what i've heard there are multiple interpretations of the text
I'm like the only person on Earth who didn't think baby Yoda was super cute, lol. My unpopular opinion is that he's kinda creepy lol especially when ( spoiler) he eats a whole frog and then giggles like a Gerber baby.
Hi Hannah love this video!! I'm a volunteer at the Vagina Museum and with the pin you got its for the people who came in first to the museum, I don't think you get the pin when you sign up as a member 😊
Thanks for the book recommendations, they're definitely going on my TBR! If you're interested, I'm doing a Romance Readathon Challenge for 2020 on my blog lisareadsbooks.com/books/romancereadathon2020. Also, if you like Janet, you NEED to watch this song ruclips.net/video/tPp-U4QonnM/видео.html Also, The national theatre do £15 tickets. Sorry for the massive list 😂
Do you know how I can get a copy of the post card? That’s seriously a hoot. The devil being flashed is just speechless if you ask me. Would be lovely for dirty Santa with my extremely conservative family. (😈 devilish right?) Funny and appropriate if you ask me. Hope all is well.
I'd love more favourites videos like this over on this channel if you're interested in doing them Hannah - picked up some good books & shows from these videos over the years!

There is also a tv series made of “the no.1 ladies’ detective agency” that’s really good!!!
I remember watching it on HBO and Jill Scott was the lead, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't know until after that it was based on a book series.
Shows are such a good thing to save money for!! Supporting the arts!!
I love both Ah-ah-ahs! But I went for Little Mermaid because nastalgia, but I think they’re on par.
Lion King 2, Simba's pride is fabulous!
4:18 YES!! His Dark Materials is amazing - I really enjoyed the daemons quiz that BBC did on Twitter (surprised that I didn't get a cat tbh, but I suppose a bird suits me more!!)
Ooh I did that and I got a type of dog but don’t remember what! The description sounded very hufflepuff though so I was happy :)
The boy in the fish shed from The Northern Lights still haunts me to this day, but the series is still one of my favs! I'll put in time for a re-read before I start the new TV show, though! (You sold me on the adaptation, all you needed to say was RUTH WILSON!)

Lion King 2 is one of my favourite movies of all time. Do recommend!
Alexander McCall Smith is great! I’m a big fan of his Sunday Philospher’s club series!!
You're the most fun to watch Hannah! Would love a 'lil update on Mona too, hope you two have been thriving❤
I am currently on a "watch everything Andrew Scott is in" binge, as well as a Shakespeare binge. And when those two things collide....*faints*
Ooooooh where do they collide??
@@morehannah King Lear on amazon! super great. also, just any clips of his Hamlet
@@morehannah His picture also appears in His Dark Materials, in which he plays Grumman. No spoken lines as of yet, though.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet but a few years ago The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency was made into a wonderful TV show. Highly recommend checking it out, especially if you aren't sure if you are going to read the next few books right away :D
I need that peach/vulva print! Waiting for them to be restocked
Kristen Bell really is awesome. I especially liked her in ‘Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical’.
omg yes! theatre love + money and budgeting! 100% can relate!
I’m also reading and watching His Dark Materials! I also love what they did with the timeline of the story 😍
I was really excited to see what you thought of no.1 ladies detective agency, I'm super glad you're enjoying it, and I would definitely recommend the rest of the series, in any order, they're INCREDIBLE, there's like 20 of them

Please keep making favourites videos on this channel, I really like them! This one was brilliant
I think you deserve allll of the gifted things in the world, no need to think you come across as braggy 😘
YES, a 1000% yes! And if it's sth art related that Hannah got gifted, even better! Her featuring art, theatre and fun activities is so important
"Shakesy-P" OMFG!
The screaming vulva, I fucking can't. I need one! LOL I wish I could order one online
Not seen Northern Lights yet but Ruth Wilson is my fave Jane Eyre. She’s wonderful!

Your reaction to baby Yoda made me lol 😂
Rick and Morty described by me....imagination taken to the extreme.
The lion king two is an amazing sequel. The songs are just as good as the first one. So underrated.
The rest of the books in the No 1 ladies detective series are really good
Do love a show but it requires juggling as I live an hour away from the city which usually means a matinee performance or evening and driving back home for around midnight or staying over.
I'm seeing the Lion King again in March for my birthday for the second time.
Would also recommend Kinky Boots which has finished it's UK tour but is being screened in cinemas in Feb. 😁
I'm reading a gentlemen's guide to vice and virtue right now AND OMG I AM LOVING IT!
I love gentlemen's guide to vice and virtue so muchhhhh! I read it on pdf in one night till 6am 😂😂 I rlly need to re-read it again!! There's a sequel with his sister & a short story with him & monty!
OH MY GOD Punchdrunk Sleep No More is incredible!!!!!!
I haven't seen frozen 1 or 2, but I know that an artist I like(Aurora) is doing the aaaaaaaa in that new frozen song so that one wins for me.
Rick and Morty is just basically a Back to the Future parody but is intense and funny and weird in a way
I love The Good Place and Frozen 2 so much!
The tv show of No. 1 ladies is also one of my favourites! So sweet deef recommend
His Dark Materials is so good! Can't wait for the next season in the new year they've already filmed it!!
townsofnothing omg it’s out that soon??
The Lion King 2 is so good!
What did you think about the BBC’s new adaptation of the Christmas carol?
Surprised you didn’t mention Come From Away!
I watched this documentary about Shakespeare like ages ago and the presenter commented on how different the taming of the shrew is from his other works. They were like ‘it could be because he needed money’ or maybe it’s just because he’s as still part of society? I can’t remember everything but it was an interesting documentary...

Watching your favourites just reminds me how many things we have in common/both love and it makes me wish i knew u irl 😭that is so sad haha x
Love that Labia Menorah very funny lol.
It makes sense that you compared Rick and Morty to Community because both are actually created by Dan Harmon (or co-created, in R&M's case).
I saw an all-female Taming of the Shrew at the Globe about 15 years ago. Shakespeare is always fun to do that sort of thing with, I think particularly when you remember it would have all be originally performed by male-only casts. I definitely agree that Shrew is problematic by today's standards!

Baby Yoda, baby baby Yoda!
Baby Yoda, baby baby Yoda!
Okay
Now that I have that out of my system for the moment,
I feel like saying that one of the ahah ahah s is better than the other isn't fair.
Ariel's is my childhood
But also the foundation of which Elsa's is based on.

Its giselle from enchanted's ahh calling the animals
The lion king 2 is amazing. But I did only own the lion king 2 and not the lion king as a child so I may have some bias...
I love show yourself so much. I thought it was much better than into the unknown, and I really want them to release the music video, but they probably wont until the DVD is out because it's pretty spoilery
My thoughts exactly
That was awesome
Cinderella 3 is incredible and you don't have to watch Cinderella 2 beforehand
Little Mermaid Forever!!
Lion King II is much better than Little Mermaid 2. I like both, but both are better than the Swan Princess 2 :P Not seen Frozen 2 yet but it's on my list.

I also prefer the Ariel Ahahaaaah.
Your museum gift shop picks remind me of the mom in Sex Education

God, I love you

Sound is out of sync on this video
Elsa is way better than Ariel (sorry but the mermaid is kind of a brat and doesn't do the original story any favours)
