funny you mention chicken noodle soup because one of the members (j-hope) actually has a song called chicken noodle soup. please check that one out too. chicken noodle soup was a song that he grew up listening to so he made his own version to pay homage.

True! They all shine in each of their own way. They balanced and complimented each other. It's also the fact that they are let to be who they are, pursue their own creative drive besides the group things, and everyone knows they're all unique individuals :D

The leader is rm. He is the leader and the main rapper too. But there is no "main one in bts" all are equally important and has a unique voice and personality. You literally can't choose.that's the charm of bts

Thanks but BTS is its own genre not Kpop. There is a LOT of great KOREAN music that is not Kpop if you get out of the little Kpop bubble. BTS are world-class artists not Kpop.
in kpop there isnt really a thing like "main person" like say beyonce was in destiny's child or justin timberlake in nsync
but they do have leaders
leaders in kpop act as a middle man between the group and their company, they relay any issues or information between them
they also manage the members, they try their best to be a neutral person in almost any disagreements and help the members get through it
but they also keep the group on track, when they have to they pull their leader card and get the members to do what they have to do (say when they are messing around when they have to practice or something like that)
the leader of BTS is RM (birth name Kim Nam-Joon [surname/family name comes first in korean]), the guy who came out of the ambulance at 3:53 he is also the main rapper and main lyricist/producer/composer for the group (working alongside the other 2 rappers and the other members contribute as well)
fun fact: he was an underground rapper before joining their company, he joined in 2010 BigHit (their label) when he was 15/16 (he was born September 12, 1994). Many people in the Korean Undeground HipHop scene didnt want to battle him because he was so good despite how young he was. All work he did while underground was under the name 'Runch Randa'.

What does KpOpP have to do with BTS? There are a lot of great artists making great music in Korea but they are not in Kpop. BTS are great, once-in-a-lifetime artists, they are world-class way beyond the Kpop INDUSTRY. If you would step out of the Kpoppie mediaplay for a minute you might learn that if you add up all the Kpop groups they don’t equal the economic impact of BTS. Why do people keep diminishing their great accomplishments by limiting them?

BTS has been around for 9 years, their discography is huge, and you're only scratching the surface if their talents and versatility. BTS excel in showmanship and performance, so if you think their music videos are 10/10 you should be them live.

watch videos like 'This Is BTS' from XCeleste and she has another video called This Is ARMY which gets you an inside on us fans.
Some MV's I recommend are: No More Dream, this was their debut and very much so hiphop since they started out to be a hiphop group. Next I would recommend Blood, Sweat and Tears since that's a masterpiece. They also have Japanese songs and Lights happens to be one of my favourite MV's. Just some things I would recommend for you. Looking forward to more BTS if that's the plan.

His name is Kim Namjoon or his stage name is RM (stands for Real Me). Please keep in mind that in Korea, along with a few other cultures, they see the family name as more importance so it goes first, then their given name. So everyone in Korea has their last name first, first name last. They are considered the most known k pop group right now. They just finished a 4 date concert series at Alligent Stadium (the Las Vegas Raiders New stadium) by selling out 65,000 seat each night in just the pre sale alone. And since I was one of those lucky one who got to go on Day 1, I can tell you their concerts are something that you can't even imagine. And please understand that their fanbase (called the ARMY) are not just 15 y.o. screaming girls...there are quite a lot of men...and a lot of the fans are over 30...I'm one of them...I am a 50 y.o. proud ARMY since 2016. Please check out more of their videos...they do have a rap line that u may appreciate. So they are RM, Suga and J Hope. All three are main writers, composers, producers, and beatmakers of the group.

Mic Drop brought me into this fandom in 2017, it definitely has a special place in my heart! There are loads of videos introducing you to the group it would be beneficial to watch them. Loved the reaction! Also JHope paid the original artist of Chicken Noodle Soup for the rights to rerelease it, it has Korean, English and Spanish lyrics as it was a Collab with Becky G. Definitely check that out.
BTS has different types of music for different tastes 💜😌
BTS has a leader who is RM, whose function is to be the intermediary with the company, keep them united and solve the conflicts that arise between them. RM is so good at it that he has even gone so far as to "step in" to calm things down in the fandom. It has fully fulfilled its function by ensuring that 7 boys who met in their teens, who have been working, traveling and living together for 11 years, can continue to have fun with each other, who have managed not only to be best friends, but a family.
Among them are the #1 fans of others, they know perfectly the strengths of others and always seek to highlight them; among them there is no one who seeks to stand out more than the others or overshadow them; each has captured the hearts of Army with their unique personalities and styles.
Within the BTS discography they all have solos, they have released solo songs and covers and even mixtapes, that is where each one has their space to shine alone.

They have a very diverse discography! If you want to get a sample, watch the 2021 BTS Festa Live which features a medley of a few of their songs. Literally just a few because of the breadth of their discography. They also performed at the 2022 Grammys with their song "Butter" -- definitely worth a watch!

Hi im not sure if you noticed how happy you looked watching BTS, that's the charm they have. They say BTS comes into your life when you need them and I certainly think that's true. Mic drop is what made me fall into the BTS rabbit hole it was purely by chance I saw someone on RUclips reacting to it. BTS are 3 rappers 4 vocalists who have literally saved millions of ARMY'S around the world. All 7 contribute to writing and producing their songs and albums. I think you will love the Cyphers parts 1 to 4. BTS were so badly mistreated that they wrote Diss tracks to their haters and rightly so. They never name people but whoever they are deserve it. Suga is an amazing rapper. He is a genius songwriter and producer. He said he puts traps in his songs to catch the cockroaches and he laughs as they get caught in them and are then sued by Bighit. Haters are just jealous idiots who have less than a thumbnail size of talent that BTS have. Maybe a little old now but excelestes videos this is BTS an introduction is so good and will really make you fall into the BTS rabbit hole. I love them so much. Then she has one who is the BTS ARMY and I'm sure you will want to join us too. We are almost 1 billion strong and growing. Army are all ages, sexes, races, nationalities and are extremely protective of these 7 amazing men from South Korea. I'm 57 UK army and I can't express enough how much I admire and respect them 💜

They are even better live at awards shows and live in general than they are in music videos. Also the leader is RM, which was the one coming out of the ambulance, he is the intellectual one of the group with an IQ of 148, avid reader of literature and novels, some of which are used as inspirations for the music videos. For example Blood Sweat & Tears music video was by a book called Damienn by Herman Hess. He is also part of the rap line, with both Suga (who's song daechwite is awesome) & Jhope (which you would know from chicken noodle soup), RM rap song Joke is wicked and has amazing flows. They have choreo videos as well for those wanting to see the dances only, and a very strong dance line in BTS.

I usually watch the TV series reactions from u guys, but guys BTS, they're their own category. I'm so excited to see more BTS contents from u guys
With in Kpop groups ( I dont consider BTS kpop and more) but they have what you call , main, lead and sub. Main being the highest, then lead and then sub. But with that said although in BTS they have that with each member you will notice that they work as an entire group and dont really have one person who stands out and the others work around him. Depending on the song they distribute parts quite evenly depending on the vibe of the song and each ones strengths. RM is the leader though but he actually leads from behind he doesnt put himself first, he actually perfers to push his members forward and let them shine, he encourages them to express themselves and in many cases helps them especially the vocal line with writing their own songs for their solos. He is definitely one of the best, humble leaders of a group out there.
Elaborate why you dont consider them kpop? Better not be because they once said it doesnt matter what others labeled them as? They're still very much so part of kpop. Its not about just popularity, its about the type of music, the language, the technicality and arctypes of music videos + the culture part too.
The leader doesn't mean "main" the leader is just responsible for a lot of stuff.
