I was there, Paco. It was unbelievably beautiful. I'll fail to describe it but I'll fail proudly because it's worth the try. At first, there was pregnant silence. Then light. At the beginning, angels were playing harps somewhere in your vicinity, but you couldn't quite place where they were exactly. Then, once the crafties started circling around the audience, they were taking you heart to higher and higher layers of a very delicate but very palpable heaven. Finally, when they started passing on the notes to each other, it was tickling and little shocks coming through the highway of your ear, taking your head to the same heaven your heart was already in. Fulfilled silence. Brighter light. The concert went on. I am not even going to try to do Red. The words musical orgy, 200 people, 75 guitars, nuns tapping their feet alongside long-haired metalheads come to mind, but don't do it justice. This concert changed my life.
WAIT A MINUTE, I JUST REALIZED AT THE END THAT THE SOUND IN THE VIDEO IS MADE BY ALL THESE GUITARS... I WAS ABOUT TO ASK WHERE IS THE ORGAN/KEYBOARDS... that is awesome.
Por la tonalidad en la que arranca el vídeo, de la sensación de que en cualquier momento comienza "Close to the edge" (es la misma nota de la intro del tema de YES)
Hey Reef, I don't know how to send you mails anymore? This is Dave the guitar guy. I'm about to start doing videos again, under a different acct. I can't access my old one since my email address changed. I( just built a Fender Jazz Bass and a Fender strat out of kits, they came out great! So I'll be doing some electric guitar stuff instead of the acoustic. Ah, maybe I'll throw some acoustic in there too! Cheers my man, hope all is going well up north! Still at the train yard?
No reply, so I assume there must be some GC rule against ego and fame. I guess there is an advantage in that I won't have to go broke to buy albums form each of the 50 guitarists' groups. I have only bought albums by King Crimson since seeing the Orchestra in 2016.
I kept watching them all walking at the start of the video, and wondering where Robert was sitting. I didn't believe it either when I say he was walking with them. Not sure what to make of the performance though. Great idea, but I wanted it to develop and go somewhere.
@@TrevorDennis100 Yeah, I've watched plenty of videos from Robert's Symphony and while I like the idea, I also think it lacks direction. Not sure if it's had more recent performances, tho
“Music is the wine that fills the cup of silence.”
― Robert Fripp
not all wines are tasty ಠ_ಠ
Fripp’s aphorism is widely misquoted. It is actually “Music is the cup which holds the wine of silence.”
Robertito Fripp, un genio, enamorado de Argentina.
Lovely, transcendent sounds.
See? Now this is impressive! I would be a privilege to be there, churches' acoustics are incredible and the purpose of the piece totally match it

Wow! Incredible description! Thank you.
Incredible. At times it sounds like an organ yet at others like a harp.
Thanks for coming here, so close of my place, thanks Fripp, I'm wish you come back again with the crafty guitars. Saludos crack!
One of the most important moments in my life. Thanks universe!
This made my cry
There is silence in music.

WAIT A MINUTE, I JUST REALIZED AT THE END THAT THE SOUND IN THE VIDEO IS MADE BY ALL THESE GUITARS... I WAS ABOUT TO ASK WHERE IS THE ORGAN/KEYBOARDS... that is awesome.

2:42 I thought he was going to sit on the steps
LOL
Robert Fripp parado? Imposible

I Agree with u.
@@ZkaLy6 yeah

This was all my idea.
That's me on the right.
That's going to be a shitload of groupies for the roadies to have to go and round up at the end.
ta loco
Does he have something against lefties?
What the fuck that's not Robert it can't be.
I don't get it 😕
no need to get it...
Fair enough. Doubtless the impact was more sensible in the moment.
it is like physics. just feel it. nothing else.
I was bored.
this is very stupid
All seems a bit pretentious. I'm sure the acoustics and the surroundings added to the ambience but what's the point.
Rather than "what's the point", one might want to ask oneself "why not?"
Jalous
Maybe the point is... the acoustics and the surroundings.
The point? it is a fragile beautiful creation of sound, I would have loved to have had the chance to hear it.
I can't help but feel the same way. I'm a fan of Robert Fripp and King Crimson's music, but this is just too much.
