Good to know I am not the only one with some dogs in my collection! I have a beautiful run of Wander and Luis Robert cards. My lesson learned? Focus on vintage.
It is horrible how a card could start out really high but the only way for the card to keep that value is to be like Babe Ruth. You see that a lot with football cards. I hope you make a video of gambles that paid off.
Man........I'm ready to spend some money on Juan Soto and Gunnar Henderson but just cant seem to pull the plug. This video my hold me off for a while longer.
Lew roberts and wandering franklins. boy what a waste of money. But the gorman thomas guy takes the cake, LOLO.... This video should get a zillion likes with that last one. "$300 prospect play". 🤣🤣🤣I almost wet my pants. make mental note: Buy guys who WERE GOOD. Not pretenders. 1 out of 1000 will pan out for you. "collect what you like" LOLOLOLOL. "We've all done it" AHHHH, NO . We haven't. I've pointed and laughed for 40-45 years now
It’s easy to get caught up in the speculative game. I often buy raw, base cards, e.g. Bowman Chrome for these guys at a few bucks. If they make it big their base card will still have value down the road. As a 65 year old collector, all the parallel and rainbow cards are neat to look at, but when players have 500 rookie cards I lose interest real fast. I’m not sure if it’s good or bad for the hobby but it’s a nice money grab for the card makers.
Great Wander Franco collection. People are still impressed by my Wander Franco collection.

Yeah I'm right there with you Chuck!
Always rough to look at the prospect pick ups! Great video Vince!
Well, the Adley's pretty nice! Ha

Vince, I would gladly make all of the "mistakes" you have made, if I also got to make all of the wins you have made! 😊👊

I think Soto is a significantly safer bet than Henderson.

I have no clue what I'm doing when it comes to this hobby.
Prospecting is so much riskier now…it was a lot better (and cheaper) when you were speculating over Todd Hollandsworth or Travis Lee
It could be worse. My super collecting of Yoan Moncada is one.

Good luck on anything modern
Gorman been kinda hot past 2 weeks
Sorry about those cards. Many have done worse. Thanks for sharing
Haha... no big deal Orlando. At least I had fun doing it so there's that, right? Yeah, I also could have done way worse.
4 sharp corners has a nice easy consignment service pays out around 85 percent
I know but I just assume do things myself if/when I get to that point.
You and me both buddy! 😢
All good players too. Gorman is decent.
Speculating on rookies is risky business for sure.
