So are you using the lockon system at all? I'm not seeing the triangle over their head, but you are also using the expert UI/HUD, so I assumed it just removed that indicator.
@@happyninja42 no I don’t use the lock on system, I’m playing on lethal difficulty. Also in this video specifically I don’t have expert hud on at all.
@@BoundlessDB So I have a question about how stealth is calculated. You seem to have played Ghost WAY more than me. Does day/night have any bearing on detection rate? And does the weather? I always liked to play the flute to bring the dark storms into the area before I did a stealth run, but I'm not sure if that's just purely aesthetic, or if there is some actual mechanic component to it. Do you have any info on this?
@@happyninja42 It seems to me that both the day/night cycle and weather is just for the aesthetics, I can’t really tell you for sure though.
Every time I play like that, I get the flashback from his father to not fight like a coward and face the enemy head on.
at the beginning of the game or in general?

I played in Sakai armor doing stand offs as much as I possibly could. I took his daddy's words to heart.

The stealth in this game is incredible but my god the combat is insane. And I just love cutting through waves of mongols for fun.
I know man. I usually put combat highlights first in my videos but if you watch the whole thing you’ll find out that all the stealth clips stop around 4 minutes in and the rest is straight combat footage.

The way you cleared Dark Water was really nice. What I liked the most is how you totally ignored the R1 kunai throw assassination knowing there were two enemies there and actually throwing the kunai would alert the second one of your presence. Instead going around and luring them both with wind chime and assassinating them from the pampas grass was way more cooler and stealthier way to do it and again leader slaughter signature final kill. Just great.
when I was recording that part, I was so confused on why the r1 kunai assassination even popped up because it never did that before 😭

fell in love with this game recently and i just love that you can play the way you want and it can still be "lore" accurate.
The ghost is supposed to be a "monster" that no one can stop, i don't remember how tomoe and the rest describes him but basically that's my take on the ghost.
He's here to scare the living shit outta the mongols, ronin and bandits he comes accross with every tools he has. AND GOD I LOVE IT.
i have a build for each armor and use them a lot mainly:
Tadayori's Poison master
Archer Master Matrix god
Sakai lord of fire (because of the god of war armor)
Ronin pure damage no defense
Monkey parry god
Gosaku Tank of infinite resolve
Kensei Thor god of lighting
Ghost Nocturnal Terror

My only issue with playing like the ghost is that the katana combat is so damn fun, I feel bad assassinating people and skipping it
I play more aggressive and out loud most of the time, I used stealth for the first 4 minutes of this video.

The fact that the image we create of ourself and came to known as the ghost is solely due to this reason , the way we sneak kill, it have a honor of its own way , for the people we want to save, and we live up to it even if it means breaking the code, and after half way into the story it really matter to me whether to stealth kill or directly approach as it doesn't matter anymore, it's for the people of tsushima and we live and die as the ghost of it.
I am pretty sure as the saying goes "That a warrior should always be aware of their surroundings"
It should apply to everything enemy to friend here, so sneak killing well is not totally more like even the enemy should be aware of their surroundings.

Me who directly call for a standoff and set the whole camp behind me.
Maybe it's just me but I like the idea of just standing my ground, surrounded by the enemy, counter every strike and finish them off like a true samurai. Everytime I stealth I get bored 😂

Yeah the stealth in this game isn’t really good I find it too easy and it’s just a snooze fest but the combat is a lot better
kinda string with the narrative of the game, it's easier to fight these mongol this way than the uncle did

That is the ghost armor you get it at the end of act 2. As for your second question, it’s just one of the perks that the ghost armor has.

That’s how I mostly play too, watch the whole video. The first couple minutes are stealth and then the rest is out loud and aggressive combat gameplay.

how do you trigger different stealth animations? i only have the quick single stab ones :(
That means you upgraded your tanto to the max, there’s not much you can really do.

That's not how you're supposed to play the game mate. Canonically, Jin Sakai only killed like a coward when he was obligated. He also never crouches like a thief. The bow is also wrong. The samurai used the yami bow. The one you have is a half bow.
How far are you into the game man? Jin uses stealth tactics a lot later in the story. Also I start being all loud and aggressive around 4 minutes into the video.
