Autonomous driving can be cool to some extent, and it would be great for the car to drive for you when you don't feel like it (like if you feel sick or are very tired). However, as a young car enthusiast, I hope we will still have a choice of driving our cars when we want to, rather than just always having the car driving for you always since driving seems fun. It feels like a loss with electric cars taking over (nothing really compares to the exhaust and feeling of driving an ICE car), and losing our ability to control our own cars feels like a dystopia to me. Even if governments mandate self-driving cars one day if technology improves to the point where a self-driving car is magnitudes safer compared to a human driver, I hope that the driver could still have some interaction with the car in some way, shape, or form; maybe choosing what roads/path you would take similar to touch-drive in asphalt 9 would still allow the driver to connect and interact with the car in some way.
If it's Audi's S5 convertible on a beautiful sunny day in the country, yes I want to do the driving, but if it's their Aicon taking me out on everyday errands, I'm all for it!😊

I would not mind riding in one of those things because I can tell you this I may be blind and partially-sighted it would also help me get around much easier than public transportation. All I would have to do is tell the car where to go and it will take me to where I need to go. As a matter of fact I do believe that Audi here to start producing self-driving vehicles for the blind and partially-sighted. And with no steering wheel and pedals that will work just fine for me!
I think the concept is awesome! That's really a lot like the vehicles in the movie I robot, but there is no manual mode. For a luxury experience for people who dont wish to be bothered with driving, the vehicle is cool. The only problem is security. Here in the US, at one time, channels for Automobiles were isolated. Separated from the rest of the internet, our laws changed. I am not saying they couldn't remain secure, but they function by the use of the internet. There is also now very good voice emulation. I am one who likes to drive, so manual for me.
So what we will left with in the end in the future? We will do nothing, the machines will do anything and we will be totally bored, and look for some life in a virtual world. It's sad that the fun of driving is gonna be taking from us too 😢

Cool concept... however, no seatbelts? Seems risky if the cars needs to come to an abrupt stop. Do you technically need a drivers licence to own one if no one is driving/ everyone simply is a passenger? If not, what would be an appropriate age for someone (with no licence mind you) to own one? Wouldn't it be pretty important to have a pretty easily accessible manual emergency stop button of some sort, just in case. Also for different places, like for example Germany's autobahn, (which is a motor/free way) where they have sections with no speed limit (not that it would be the smartest idea to take a self driving car on the freeway) what speed would the car go to? Would it simply keep increasing it's speed till it reached a speed limited part of the freeway? Would it drive way slower than you usually would on that type of road, making it take twice as long to get to your destination compared to if YOU yourself had driven to the destination?

In a parking lot there is no space for suicide doors at all due to the car parking next to me. It's a nice show effect though. Also the door opening should happen quicker when I use it everyday.
