Anyone knows about the lifespan of the lens/laser/motor? I'm interested but would hate to have to replace consumables each and every few dozen engravings.
Good quality galvo scanners will run for thousands of hours, the lens shouldn't degrade if kept clean. Typical laser diode life for high power devices is around 2000 hours.
Our Makerspace got one and I like it a lot. The two things that could be better are the way you frame and the app. I know it’s new so I can get past the app but the framing just downright isn’t accurate enough it’s almost a guessing game.

Technically the product is illegal as it completely lacks any safety barriers, beam dumps or interlocks that are a legal requirement for a class 4 laser product.
You can print via USB, and the wifi version is on LAN. Also, you can print from the smartphone to the printer via Bluetooth without Wifi. The part that is on the Chinese servers are the video you save and the printed files.
Hi, Could you tell me please how you engraved on copper? I have tried numerous times with my LP3 and not made a mark on copper. Brass and other metals are fine but not copper. Thank you in advance.
To remove copper, you need to make a lot of passes. And it is better to make more speed, so as not to overheat the plate.

please talk about the danger of 1064nm laser as well! it doesn't have a protection.

Is it really a fibre laser? Someone reviewed a similar unit and found it was a standard DPSS laser feeding a delivery fibre.
What of the software? Can you engrave offline? Do all my designs pass thru a server in China?
