Very helpful, thank you!:) I have worked on Compur shutters so far, but i never took apart the retard gear train. Really interesting to see you disassemble it on the copal shutter. Is there some kind of adjustment that needs to be done to ensure correct times?🤔
Actually there is no screw or gear for shutter speed adjustment like in SLR. If we can get smooth movement in escapement unit and the shutter blades, the shutter speeds will be ok most of the time.
@@VintageResurrection oh okay. I remember that in compur shutters there is at least a spring that can be set to 3 positions. I will test this once i have a shutter speed tester :)
