服はボタンでかなり印象変わるから
ボタンを作るのに、こんなに沢山の工程があるなんて知りませんでした。
昔私のおばあちゃんが古い服を処分する際にボタンを綺麗に外し、クッキーの缶に大事に保存していたのを思い出しました。
それは様々な色や形をしていて、服や小物作りをしていたおばあちゃんの宝物でした。
私の家に貝で出来たボタンが付いた服があるかはわかりませんが、小さな物も大切にしよう、と思えた動画でした。

零細企業がかつては日本に多くあり、支えていた。
緻密な物作りには機械には出来ない人の研ぎ澄まされた手の感覚、物を見る目の確かさを頼りに成り立っていた。職人の感性は素晴らしい。
My house that I live in was an old button factory from the late 1800's. There's a lot of history. Shells that are punched out still come up in the back yard after it rains.

恐ろしい数の手間と工程ですね。以前から、服を捨てる時も貝ボタンは取ってあります。何か、伝わるものがあったのかと。😊
私も同じです。
洋裁をしていたこともあり、服の生地が傷んで着られなくなってもボタンはまだ使えるものが多いので取っておきます。
私もそうしています。貝殻ボタンを沢山並べて帽子に一周刺繍糸縫い付けるととってもかわいいですよ😊
時々、古着に付いている美しい貝ボタンは
こちらで製作されたものかもしれませんね。

Копейки эти пуговицы стоят .
Да их нужно как дорогое ожерелье на шее носить!
Я очень люблю эти пуговицы,но их изготовление-это ад:условия работы ужасные(станки старые и не безопасные,фильтров и очистителей воздуха нет,сотрудники болеют легочными заболеваниями,руки в хлам и тд)и стоят эти пуговицы даже не копейки(((

新旧の プロセスの混在は素晴らしい。
I have several of these shell buttons. I inherited them from my grandmother, mother and Great grandmother. I believe they all came from Japan in the 1930's and 50's when my father and grandfather were stationed there before and after WW2. I prize them as they are the prettiest and most beautiful of the shell buttons.
アパレルでパタンナーを35年勤めた者です。
生地が何色でもタカセは合うので、タカセを多用していました。
景気が悪くなってからはプラスチック製の釦を使う事が多くなりました。
プライベートでは絶対に本物の貝を使いますけどね。こんなに手間暇かかっているのなら安いくらいです。
新卒の時に(アパレルで働く前に)見学に行きたかったな、と思いました。
新旧いろいろな機械があってとても興味深いです。
この機械や刃先、樽など作る人もいるのだろうか？とか思うと繋がりってすごいと思いました。

私も古着のボタンは全部保存しています。大きい貝ボタンはコロナ用ヘッドマスク作製時に再利用しています。ボタンは芸術、実用性のある宝石の様ですね。ボタン製造機の工程にも驚きでした。ありがとうございます。

I love going through my mother's button box and finding all of these treasures in it, so many shell buttons.
Every household had a button box or jar. Not as frequent any more.
I already loved buttons, but I've never seen such dedication to making them before.

薬剤の滴下に分液ロートだったり、脱水機の排水路に逆さにしたゴム長靴を使っていたりと、
古き良き時代を感じさせられました。

Amazing antique looking machinery! I love and collect old buttons, now, after seeing how they’re made, I shall cherish them more!
Those machines look like they have been working for many years. You do not see flip top oiler caps on bearings much these days. Amazing the machines people invent though. There was a surprising amount of hands on for making those buttons. Interesting.
And a disappointing lack of safety protection

Love these old-style factories and the way they do things...plug for the polisher worn out? We'll just use some plastic bags as a gasket. Need to redirect the drain-water from the dryer? We'll just use this rubber boot...🤣 Seriously though, the old wood tumbler equipment is awesome...

I never thought about the long process of getting those buttons but I do notice when the buttons on the garments are natural, made from shells or so and I like them better.

その中でも、貝ボタンは、一番の宝物です♪

My grandmother and I had jars upon jars of buttons collected as a kid, now as an adult I wish I still had them in my craft room buttons are so useful for a variety of projects practically every day. ❤️

祖母がボタン集めが趣味でした。小さい頃はそのボタンが色とりどりにキラキラとに光るのがとても好きで、宝石みたいだなと思いながらよく見せてもらっていました。貝殻みたいだなと思ったボタンもいくつかあったのですが、本当に貝殻から作られているものもあるんですね。勉強になりました。

Как тщательно и терпеливо работают японцы! Очень интересно посмотреть про пуговицы. Когда-то видела репортаж о производстве кистей HAKUHODO, произвело большое впечатление. Японцы настоящие перфекционисты.

It says at 0:22 that they use takase clam, black butterfly shell and white butterfly shell :)
I wish the video showed how they punched the disks out of the shells, and whether they use the entire shell, or just a part.

I like the buttons which at the end of the process still retain bits of colour from the outside of the shell. There appears a lot of shell dust, possibly mostly calcium. Gardeners could make fertilizer from that.
