This video was so helpful, thank you! We’re going to Star Wars Nite this year for the first time, and I don’t want to miss anything from my list. I did hear a rumor that there are no fireworks for Star Wars Nite this year, but I hope I misheard. Either way, it should be a blast! I will definitely plan a chill day so I can stay awake for the event lol! Thanks again ♥️✨
Happy to help! And there should be fireworks assuming the weather allows for it. Disney will cancel the fireworks but still do the lights and music if the wind is too high
We have our Star Wars night passes on May 9 and I’m prepping to maximize our time, if they let you in at 6 PM, would you guys recommend riding some rides so that way that is out-of-the-way when 9 o’clock rolls around? Or not at all the rides.? I thought if there’s no Star Wars things going on, someone might be able to pick up a smugglers run or something
If the lines are short, I'd say go for it before the event kicks off because you'll want all the time you can get for the event specific activities when they start.
I don't think Genie Plus is even offered for after dark events, but the lines are so short that you wouldn't need it anyway. Most things will be a walk on the entire night
is the rule on "blasters" more relaxed on these nights? any body know? i have a costume i made up but i want to bring a blaster to tie the whole thing up.
That one is probably still pretty strict, though I've never attempted to bring a blaster since the lightsaber was always my go-to, and I don't know firsthand how they enforce that one.
I was there last year the same day as you guys also for the first time. I would agree that the vibe is amazing and was my favorite part of the night. All the lightsabers glowing was awesome. There is so much to do it really is impossble to a lot of it. We made mistake #1 as well because we had already bought our regular tickets when they announced SWN. We're always open-close and that night we were EXHAUSTED. Falling asleep at the table exhausted. We also wanted to ride Rise but the line was about the same wait as usual when we tried. My tip would be to ride unrealted rides. We went on Pirates and the line was so short that we had to jog to the front so the boat wouldn't leave without us. My other tip would be to order the food you want as early as you can because a lot will sell out or can get backed up. We ordered the matcha Yoda beignets and when our window came we still ended up waiting almost an hour because people were saying they were there and they weren't so it got backed up. Sorry that was a lot but I really enjoyed SWN and highly recommend it if it's something you're considering.
Thank you! This will be helpful. We’re going in a couple days. I have a couple questions: I have a double sided light saber I’ve been debating to bring, would you recommend bringing it or leaving it at home? Also do you have any info about lines for merch at dok ondar’s? How long are the lines? Thanks! It looks like you guys had such a. Great time there! 😊
If you're able to bring a lightsaber, especially an LED saber, then I'd 100% say yes. It's a ton a fun to have one lit up after dark, but it is a bit cumbersome to carry around if you're not using it and can get in the way of doing some rides. Also keep in mind that it counts as your carry on if you're flying, so you'll have to take that into consideration since it likely won't fit into your luggage unless you're paying for a fairly large one that goes under the plane. Dok Ondar's isn't any busier during the event since the merch is the same during regular hours (though your experience may vary) and the lines are generally pretty short except for some of the meet and greets. Hope this helps! Have a great time at the event!
I'm not sure that there is one available, at least not that I can find. Although Laughing Place has some good pictures and descriptions of the map. www.laughingplace.com/w/disney-parks/disneyland-after-dark-star-wars-nite-guide-map-with-list-of-entertainment-characters-and-food-items/
@@RTDAdventures thank you. I started looking when you said there were pdf's of the maps released a few days before the events at your 3:32 minute mark.
Very informative video guys! My wife and I will be attending SWN this year. Do you guys have any suggestions on how we can store our lightsabers while we go on rides?
Honestly? No. Lol, sorry but we didn't do any rides during Star Wars Nite. I would imagine that you'll have to be selective on which rides you do since the thrill rides likely won't have a good place to put your saber. Some of the slower rides have more space and you won't have to worry about the saber flying off the vehicle, but when in doubt, just ask a cast member and they will let you know what you can and can't do with your saber. Hope this helps. Have a great time!
Do you guys know if we can go through regular entrance ( not having regular tickets)to disney at 6pm and then register for star wars night inside the park? Has anyone done this?
As far as I can tell, the only way to sign in inside the park is with a standard ticket to get in, then head to Tomorrowland. Otherwise they will have you take care of everything on the other side of the turnstiles as soon as you enter.
According to official rules on Disneyland's website, masks of any kind may not be worn except for medical purposes. In reality, I have seen otherwise. In fact, I've seen masks for sale in the parks that cover the face, so it's kind of up to security. Though I wouldn't chance it, just to be safe.
9:41 that’s me and my friend both dressed as Luke 😂
Right on!

Rise of resistance would be better named resistant to ride due to the breakdowns of this ride

They actually will usually let you in a little earlier than 6:00. We lined up at 5:00 and they let us in at 5:45.
Haven’t been able to find much on it and really appreciate the video! Gained a new subscriber. Happy to hear your tips, you two rock!
I'm glad we could help. And thank you so much! 🙏
Going tonight! First time and excited!
Hope you have a great time!
@@RTDAdventures We did, I got to build a droid and went on some rides. Even watched the cantina band preform!
Nice!

hi, if it starts at 6 pm how long it last or just till the park closes, at 12 am? thank you great video,
The After Dark events typically run until 1 am

My dad went on Space Mountain with his. He said it was a bit cumbersome but definitely doable.
What lightsaber did you guys have?
Brian's is from Imperial Workshop, Jacob's is from The Pach Store. Both are generic (not from the movies) and from online stores.

Are you able to get on rides with your lightsabers?
What about a mask or a helmet? Are they allowed in star wars night?

@RTDAdventures ok, thank you
Guy in the left is so damn cute ❤
How are people wearing masks in Disney? I thought they can’t bring them in
Some of the costume guidelines are relaxed a bit for after dark events such as this.
@@RTDAdventures this is insane. People have full on helmets. Idk how they get away with it.
🤷♂️ Disney does seem to be getting a lot more relaxed in recent years on how strict they are with their rules
