A lot of female Tavs are just insanely hot in similar ways but I feel like the design of this one is really beautiful in a unique and really cute way so props for that
In my most recent Durge run, I managed to get ALL the good endings (imo). Even saved Alfira by knocking her out. (Yes I save scummed. But only bc I wanted that perfect ending.) And I have to say, BG3’s perfect ending feels SO INCREDIBLY SATISFYING. My Durge rejected Bhaal and went to Avernus with Karlach (Romanced) and saves her life, continuing to be together and finding hope for her engine to be permanently repaired. Wyll saves his dad on his own and became the Blade of Avernus, continuing his calling as a hero and starting to hunt Mizora with my Durge and Karlach in Avernus. Shadowheart saves her parents and lives with them on a farm after renouncing Shar and saving Aylin. (Also Isobel suvives. Another happy ending for the 2 of them.) Laezel and Mindflayer Orpheus take the war to Vlakith and free the Gith from her influence, allying with the Githzerai and their god king to help them. Astarion is free of Cazador, having let the other vampires live to decide their own futures, and became a hero in his own right, though a very stabby one. Gale got cured of his orb and became a professor, living happily teaching magic. Halsin survived and is now taking care of children while carving ducks out of wood. Jaheira survives and continues being Jaheira as usual. Trying to keep Minsc out of trouble. Minsc gets himself into trouble as usual and manages to survive by sheer dumb luck because that’s how he always rolls. And Minthara abandons the absolute and becomes at least somewhat more of a caring and empathetic person, even if she’s still not “good.” Alfira survives and opens a bard school with Lakrissa, thanking us for sparing her despite our previous affliction. THE GOAT Barcus Wroot allies the ironhands and the gondians (yep saved them all) to rebuild Baldur’s Gate. And all the other people in the game that you can help with minor requests send letters thanking you.
Gale might regret Godhood as he would lose his humanity but love for his partner. Astarion will resent you for not stopping him from Ascending. Karlach will regret dying if she didn't know about the chance of the schematics. Character development like this.. enough for tears to shed from my eyes... Music, the lines, the stoicism of an automated voice turning to sincere emotions at the last line.. it's perfect.

Gale will never die on my watch. Ever.
I usually dislike how everything about a game can be seen online/youtube but just this once im glad for it , character death / bad endings / evil choices etc are not things I can live with in my own playthroughs so I'm glad I can somewhat experience these things through videos like this.
I love how everyone hated Gale when the game first came out but now he's started growing on people.
I genuinely don't understand why people don't like Gale, the snappy kindhearted lover of cats with a superiority complex, but absolutely love the bloodthirsty nazi Drow who is a bitch the whole playthrough
Absolutely wild to me
I mean at the beginning he was too easy to romance
A lot of female Tavs are just insanely hot in similar ways but I feel like the design of this one is really beautiful in a unique and really cute way so props for that
Dude
Exactly my thoughts. She has that something, which I wish my fugly ass Tav had
it reminds me of the uniqe fragility of sissy spacek in the original carrie
@@lagerthamercy5154bro tf 😭🤣
😢😢😢 that last line punched my heart out of existence.
This was so good in a sad way. Like I appreciated the writers make me care and then creating a touching ending that felt so more real.
This is so sad but, oh my gosh your Tav is so pretty!!! 😍
Another happy ending for the 2 of them.)
Laezel and Mindflayer Orpheus take the war to Vlakith and free the Gith from her influence, allying with the Githzerai and their god king to help them.
And Minthara abandons the absolute and becomes at least somewhat more of a caring and empathetic person, even if she’s still not “good.”
Alfira survives and opens a bard school with Lakrissa, thanking us for sparing her despite our previous affliction.
So basically game tells you you shouldnt let those ambitions or depression win .you must be humble and hopeful about life until its very end as long as you breath there is hope and there is also more beatiful things than what ambition brings you.
My astarion was happy he ascended and even at the end of the game said we could rule together but I didnt do that
@@sambennett2354 then you didn't find the right dialogue..
The writing and voice acting were top notch here, but can we talk about the animation of it? The heartbroken expression on Tav’s face is enough to make you cry by itself, especially when she hugs him
God, this game finds ways to be so undeniably amazing. Whether it's the combat, the world, or anything else. Though as any good game of dungeons and dragons, you'll always remember the amazing NPCs
I love how expressive Tav is in these cut scenes. The devs really took showing not telling to heart with the main character.
I’ve never chosen this for Gale or romanced him- but damn…my heart breaks for him :(
And sad Tav 😭
Who ever motion capturer tav in this scene acted the hell out of this. So much emotion in body language alone
Now I want to buy the game, play it, romance Gale and have a happy ending. Thank you very much
I couldn’t even do it in Honor Mode… he’s such a sweet man I couldn’t be proud of an ending like this
i’m literally about to cry just from watching this, i was gonna enforce permadeath when i reach act 3 so the stakes are even higher but gale i promise i’ll keep you alive😭😭
I don’t know where it is but I believe somebody commissioned Tim (Gale’s VA) to read the letter he gives you and is honestly even more heartbreaking when read by him
Gods below!!!!!! The look of sorrow and sadness on Tav’s face broke MY heart. Remind me to not let this happen in my campaigns!
The motion capture in this one is top tier and best of what i seen in video games.
This is the part of the human condition that would have made me a puddle in my youth. Such a great game. ❤ gods dam!
I still say that was him trying to say goodbye in his own special way
Talking to his cat makes it even worse ngl
This is so fucking sad...
Peak narration. Peak game.
Good thing I never convinced my Gale to chase after the crown. My game ended with me and Gale choosing not to settle down in Waterdeep and continue adventuring. Who knew that Gale can actually use a sword.
Im not crying, YOU'RE crying..
I got this, and immediately started a new playthrough just for gale lmao
"To think i believed godhood was worth losing all this"
Im not crying you are😢
The writing in this game is so good.
Didn't think a short could make me cry.
His final words before fading... Damn
This game never ceases to make me cry.
If someone wonders, song at the background called "The Power" from bg3 ost
I find it harder and harder to deal with moments like this in video games because I myself still grieve for my more recently lost loved ones and refuse to move on.
Love this game, but I’m just a sore loser. I want my companions to have happy endings. I didn’t spend 150 hours completing the game just to watch them die
Then you gotta work hard to give them the better endings
You can have a happier ending for him then. This is just one of multiple endings he can end up with.
