Italdesign worked on many cars which were presented in games as Italdesign but they only designed bodywork for clients who were car brands. Nasca was made for BMW, Scighera was made for Alfa Romeo, Cala was made for Lamborghini, etc.

Nah, in my heavily biased opinion (look at my username and profile picture) Undercover should not have been made and instead Carbon and Prostreet both should have been given an extra year of development time. Most Wanted 2005 was as good as it was because it actually had around 2 years of development (it started around the same time as Underground 1 and was supposed to be released in 2004 as another Hot Pursuit game before Black Box decided that it would be better to combine Hot Pursuit and Underground instead so the game was given an extra year of development and became Most Wanted 2005).
In an ideal world, Black Box should have asked EA for more time and EA should have listened and that would have fixed most (if not all) of the issues with Carbon and Prostreet. Carbon should have come out in 2007, Prostreet should have come out in 2008 and maybe Most Wanted should have released for the PS3 along with the Xbox 360 in 2006 (with some bonus content). Undercover was made by an overworked Black Box that was making Need for Speed, Skate and NBA Street Homecourt all at the same time. I think Undercover was doomed to fail and the time and effort spent to make it would have been better spent on the 2 previous games.

Wasnt undercover to be a darker nfs/mw? Something like Terrorfive or like the one in development during nfs ug2? It felt like that was the main goal for undercover but it got split into undercover, nfs run and later mw 2012 beta. Like they were going for more darker and darker story with every game

So. These are what i called "Unpissed Cutscenes". In Vimeo some director/producer uploaded these cutscenes without the filter, but with all the editing that was present in the original ones. So what i did was sync the video with the original's audio and also convert them to game's codec.
One of these was this one, which was unused, pasta recommended me that this cutscene should be for the "Rollercoaster" mission.
So i did.
I think i should change the background music in next update.

Undercover is probably my favorite game in the franchise for a good amount of reasons… it always saddens me seeing all the hate the game gets.

I have such a bitter sweet relationship with Undercover. Even though I don't like it so much, it always triggers a core memory from my childhood. And I just love the cop chases in this game lol (I hate the MW/Carbon handling 🤫)

i remember buying this game as a child and then being extremely dissapointed when in the first cop chase I got the helicopter on me and couldn't shake it off for the life of me
"Low mounted" chase cams are the worst option in racing games. Oh yeah, you put car in the middle of screen... Great, now I can't see shit in front of said car.
It's partially my bad - I rewrote some camera functions in the game to fix the aspect ratio and it's using more accurate math now, causing it to behave differently than what it was in the previous versions. The camera parameters weren't adjusted for the new camera functions. The next update will hopefully address this fully.

Base game, the CCX is the fastest car. I'd have to play the mode and do testing to see which car would be the fastest.
The PS2 version of Undercover had the perfect start mechanic. That might be the reason why u were confused.
I might be in the minority on this, but I feel like 7.6 is 10x better. Too many downgrades, and extras that aren't needed IMHO.
It always was good. I'm enjoying this game again on Xbox 360
@ 2:45, the sounds of the game are really the only thing that carried from Prostreet. Undercover did not have a perfect start function
Someone should get the shaders and reflections from ProStreet over to this mod. That game looks x10 better.

Ah yes, all other cars are somehow heavier than you and you will be screwed over no matter the collission. That you is definitely the worst part of Undercover.
my first nfs was undercover on ps2, ofc it fucked up my taste in racing games later xD
the fricking shadow draw distance is what got me. it was so annoying. the goofy handling also doesn't help
I've mostly fixed it. The issue was that the developers used a too high depth bias for shadows. It'll be out soon(tm) for vanilla Undercover too.

These rework mods are getting out of hand.
Oh yeah let's destroy the game's original identity by increasing the game size threefold adding high poly car model rips from other games which are disparate in quality, and tweak the physics cause it doesn't 'vibe' the way the masses (what the creator thinks) wanted.
I appreciate the work done to 'fixing' a game that is indeed in a poor state as it is, but this isn't how I would do it. I hope the mod community behind this recognises how much better it is to let people decide how they'd like their mods to be done without lumping it into a single pack. I love Undercover but I'd rather not download this.
Funny you should mention "letting people decide", because that's exactly what this mod allows you to do! You get to choose what style you prefer during initial setup.
Kuru was simply handed an example pack to see what is possible.

Vanilla physics had it's function, swirl fru the traffic. And being just quick and response. Also drifting gave the car acceleration which made the gameplay more intense. (May be too much in highest tear cars ,so It barely looked realistic,but anyway, in low and mid tears it was just great handling)
It allowed you to perform 180, 360, even more if needed. I don't think u can actually do tricks like 720 in any other nfs games.
And what reformed does? Break everything. It fixes all the bugs ,like drift acceleration,so ur car always has like traction control on by default,or neutral/rear gear (u know when it pulls u 400+km per hour ,just a fun and harmful bug) steering response became like 10 times slower. U barely can avoid traffic now. Also steering angle has been reduced . With more speed the less angle you able to turn. The problem is u can't correct ur line with such a small angle , especially when AI pit maneuver u into the wall and u can do absolutely nothing because ur wheels doesn't turn at all at that speed.
Jesus Christ bro . There are so little benefits with new handling , maybe only for the new settings parameters. But anyway , I don't understand how anyone finds if enjoyable when u can't disable at least that reduced"angle with speed" thing.

At least I've completed the game several times vanilla + the modded version. So just keep your hate on reformed physics to yourself because that's not our problem to like the new handling model.

I played reformed enough long to dislike it . I asked the devs in discord chat ,if I can somehow disable those features ,turn off traction control ,and disable that angle limiter. Devs answered ,NO YOU CANT. they made it that way for more realistic behavior.
But game barely feel realistic when u can't drift or countersteer. So I let them eat their shit themselves.
