i don't know, there's something different about this song. Its melody, the little souds, i don't know. All i know it's that i haven't felt this calm, relaxed and happy in a long long time. This just makes me feel like i am in a big vast flower field and it's spring. There are a lot of birds and animals, a enourmous variety of flowers and the sky is calmingly blue. And i've never seen my cat so relaxed and calm, and it's helping me with my drawings. I'm so happy :((

I know you may never see this comment but I want to leave it here just incase. Your music has been my go to since high school to calm me down when I go through traumatic things. Wether it was needles (I’ve done that about 4 times to this song alone), a nose swab which was so scary the first time, going through my dad passing away and today I’m facing my trauma and ptsd by getting in a drivers seat and learning to drive. I don’t want to distract myself listening while I drive so I’m trying to get some in before hand hahah but it really helps me relax, it takes me away to happy childhood memories when I lived in the middle of no where surrounded by nature and weaving paths. It was beautiful when it rained and I’d always imagine hanging out with fairies when I walked. I'm assuming were mostly in our late teens or early to mid twenties. I hear constantly that life passes by in what seems to be an instant. I'm growing all the time, mentally, emotionally, etc.. but not everyday. Failure is a gigantic part of success. Being scared is okay, and stagnant moments shouldn't be frowned upon.. life can feel like an eternity if you forget to pause,breathe, and remember things could be worse than you could conceive. My interpretation of these songs are not that the autor is in love with an actual ghost, but that the ghost he's in love with are actually ideas in his head, ideas of characters, stories and relationships... ideas that are probably never going to exist outside of his head, and are just that... ghosts.
And for me, these songs express that feeling so well and they touch me so deep, because my ghosts are overwhelming, and I'm so in love with them. It's such a melancholy feeling, but also a happy one at the same time.

I’m crying, this is so very true
I feel like a spirit sometimes. All my friends are depressed and battle their own demons everyday. And here I am a ray of hope and sunshine. I’m always at their side comforting telling them that everything will be okay. I carry the heavy load for them and I take the hurt for them. I help them through life and guide them. Yet when I look back to see who has my back there’s no one. I fall to the ground, broken and discarded. I feel like crying and letting everything wash over me. Then, everyone I’ve helped comes back and they all surround me, now glowing beacons of light themselves. Now that I have done my part it is their turn. They all surround me and pick me up and help me until I’m ready to walk on my own once again...

You can only rely on yourself. No one is going to come back and pick you up. The sooner you realize that the sooner you can avoid being hurt and being disappointed. You must learn to strengthen yourself and that other people are only a convenience. However, sometimes in a million years someone who will be there for you will come. Dont let them go, ever. As for if theyll pick you up? Only time will tell. While it may be hypocritical from the first sentence, realize that I needed a way to grab your attention.
Edit 2024: Wow how time flies huh? Ive changed a lot as a person and its cool to see a glimpse of how my past self used to look at the world. We're everchanging as we grow and learn how life works. A lot of my friends from that first paragraph went on their own ways once I got to college. Still got 3 homies who I trust with my life. Theres hope out there and a future. The only one who can change it and take a hold of it is you.

Why does this relate to me so much?
I’m a bubbly, happy person who seems to have no mental issues at all (I do, a lot in fact, but my main personality is positive, so its just something natural for me).
And then when I’m depressed (referring to when I was depressed around the ending of 2018 and beginning of 2019) no one seems to turn heads and help.
Its sad. You help someone, they expect it again. But then when you need it, fake friends turn their backs and walk away.
I cried reading this bc I relate to this so much!!! 🥺🤍 and I’m grateful for everyone by my side

Hope you feel better now. I’ve been there. Being depressed. I’ve learnt that bottling up feelings makes it worse, and so I told my family. Since then, I feel like I’ve gone back to my happy, childish self again.
Only issue is that some people take advantage of it when you vent.

the girl he's talking about is the girl on the background art (ghost put the link of the art in the description). if you are on pc you can't see her, because ghost made everything grey with the youtube video editor, because he wasnt comfortable using other people's art, but if you use mobile you can see the image normaly.
