Google Drive Sync Problem - Change Google Drive Preferences to Sync All Folders

Google Drive does not automatically sync all of your files and folders -- the PC version and the web version may show different sets of files.
To fix this problem, right click on Google Drive on your PC, select preferences, and under the Sync Options tab, select "Sync everything in My Drive."

This was helpful, thank you. In my case the setup to sync all files was correct, but when looking at the google sync that is running in the lower right hand corner, I noticed that my sync was on pause. Changing that back to sync, then the files sync was correctly completed. Therefore you might just make sure that sync was not paused for some reason.

Thanks for the video, sadly no longer works with Backup & Sync as of right now. Soon as you enter preferences, it sends you back to B&S and options there are all for uploading content not syncing with Google drive. Windows 10 Pro.

2024 FIX - go to right hand side of your screen and click the little up arrow that shows everything running in the background, then right click the google drive icon. It opens with activity and notifications but if you click on your google ID... you will see a gear icon to the right, click that then Preferences and then choose stream or mirror, mirror to have everything sync and be available in file explorer. YW : )
