      The 3 doesn’t require a cutting mat. How did it do cutting without the mat? I thought while buying stuff it has to say “smart cut” for the 3. Or is that not necessary?

    • @crafterssupport

      You can use both smart vinyl and mats with the Cricut maker 3. All my smart machines cut wonderfully with and without the mat. Thank you so much for watching!

    This is the 1st video I've seen using Glow in the Dark htv, and honestly, I prefer the look. Not everyone wants glitter (right, guys?😊). Also, on black items, you can cut your infusible ink larger than the original image (tiny offset works) to prevent misalignment. Also, Siser has a video showing how you can sublimate DIRECT TO GLITTER vinyl using registration marks (print then cut) but instead of printing the image, cut the solid design. Also, small pieces of Blue Painters Tape will hold down any edges/corners for older mats.

    • @crafterssupport
      @crafterssupport  Год назад +2

      Great question. It does need to be a high polyester count base. So glitter HTV and glow in the dark HTV have that high count you need for the infusible ink to transfer to. Thank you for watching.

      @@crafterssupport how do you check how much polyester is in the vinyl? Thank you!

    • @crafterssupport
      @crafterssupport  Год назад +2

      You will have to read the labels on the vinyl that you buy. Also, if you are looking for a blank fabric to put it on, make sure it's at least 60% polyester and 40% cotton . I found that it is the best combination. 100% polyester gives the absolute best color, in my opinion.

      Your base color will dictate the vibrancy of the sublimation ink...the darker than white your glitter vinyl is, the less bright the color will be, but it will work. Glitter & Glow htv is PU (polyurethane based) which is why it works. Regular htv is not PU. Hope that helps.
