Thank you so much Jim that"s my favorite arrangement for that song now!!!!!!!!
Thanks ☺️
You’ve inspired me to buy a banjo again and make another attempt to become the player i wish i could have been when I bought my first one nearly 20 years ago
You can do it!
Love this! One of my favorite Scruggs tunes!
Same here!
Thanks for the video Jim! I haven’t got much time to practice lately because I’m sick. Hopefully I’ll get better so I can practice a little more.
Get well!
Good eve Jim thanks for all the content been Bing watching have been wanting to learn banjo for a couple years. I inherited a 4 string banjo 4 years ago and peaked an interest will be purchasing a 5 string when my disability check comes in next month and be watching everything again only this time I will be participating.
Keep me posted on your progress when you get your banjo
@JimPankey what is your opinion on the recording King RK-R20 that's kinda the one I have been looking at to start out with
Sounds great. I'm learning it now.
Great!
Thanks for sharing your talent sir. I’m a subscriber.
Thanks for the sub!
I was just figuring this song out in G the other day, but I love Earl’ break of it in D! I’m excited about this one! Also, I’d love to learn Earl’s break on Careless Love and Someday We’ll mMeet Again Sweetheart.
Enjoy!
That's a great sound, thanks.
Thanks ☺️
Love this, always liked the D version. Charlie cushman has a really neat low break to this that would be perfect to practice back and forth!
Enjoy!
Thank you so much you teached me how to play thank you I love the sound
You're very welcome!
love your videos so much, jim! if you ever made a tutorial for kacey musgraves, step off. id love that so much
Sounds a lot like a 6 string guitar banjo... Probably won't do a tutorial for that, but if you've been thru my backup series and can find the chord changes for the song, I bet you can sort it out.
@@JimPankey i’ve been transposing it from using a capo on a 6th string banjo to playing it regularly on the 5 string without the capo. it’s workin out fine but i’m just lazy.
Can you come out with a lesson on how to play God gave Noah a rainbow sign? clawhammer style? 😄
Morning Jim love your playing can you do a video on aplatchen rain your the best teacher for me ty😊
Bravo
Thanks ☺️
Awesome song. One I'm interested in but don't hear much is Old Joe Clark. It's a fiddle tune but my Uncle played it on his banjo a lot. It seems simple enough for a beginner lesson; what do you think?

Have you ever done a tutorial on lost gander (wild goose chase)?
Would you consider it sometime?
Thank you
VERY NICE and playable arrangement based on Earl's version.
Thanks 😊
Hey Jim. I was looking for the song tabs for this song but all I could find was John henry in g tuning. If I tune to D and use these tabs will it be the same ?

Thanks Jim
Hmm which song to learn next
Hey Jim I don't no how to read tabs im worse then bull in China shop
Maybe I should do a quick lesson on tabs… I’ll give that a little thought.
It is 9:13
🥰🪕Love it is,isn'it?
😍
Interested in a how to video of Polly Vaughn by the dillards
It would be a very short video since the banjo part is just a couple of measures…….
😂
??
Hey it would be great if you would put QR codes on your tab sheets to help find the corresponding video, and vice versa. You have a lot of videos now and it takes awhile to search through them.
Interesting idea! Of course putting my name and song name in the RUclips search works too
@@JimPankey yes but the older I get, the more challenging that gets. If I’m watching the video on my TV I have to get my phone out and search for the tab (which I love btw(the tab, not the search)), and if I’m print the tab up, having the code right there next to the actual web address is very handy.
Just wondering if you could show us how to do bends. I struggle with this, but probably just need to practice more! Idk 🫤
