One important note on this video. I’m raking the strength of the free cash flows of these companies, but I’m not raking them by valuation. What you pay for cash flows is very important. So none of this is a buy/sell recommendation.

Well done! I'd suggest that you add a tab to the FCF charts that shows FCF - SBC. If the company weren't paying employees in stock, it would be paying them in cash. So it makes sense to subtract SBC from FCF.
Another suggestion. How about adding the option of including an Exponential Moving average with your graphs. EMA is far better than SMA since you don't want a large effect from things dropping off the back end. Alternatively, (or perhaps even better) include an EMA of the year-over-year change.
    o NFLX hasn't done that well since 2020. I'd give it a C.
o I understand your concern about NVDA, but its FCF is as good as ULTA. Of course, once you consider SBC, its rating would get worst.
o I'd give META a C based on its record.

Good video. What makes Tesla even more impressive is that they've achieved these increasing levels of FCF over the last couple of years whilst building two new Gigafactories and paying off most of their long term debt.

Hey Joseph. Just a thought on your stock compensation segment. Would it not be better for Google to give the stock (15% annualized return over the past 5 years) to employees and reinvest that cash instead at a 24.5% ROIC, rather than pay them? Thank you for sparking that thought, by the way!

Happy New Year Joseph! I really like your videos specially the latest Tesla one that got Jeremy make his own on it. I wish you would of had Sofi in your list just to see were it would rank compared to Palantir. I learnt and lost lots of money since stocks have been declining since 2021. I will only invest in S class stocks from now. To this date January 1 2023 what in your opinion are the top 3 best stocks out there in the market.

Hi Joseph long viewer of the channel here. Thank you for them.
I have run my own analysis in EL and I am surprised to see that qualtrim says that it have a 3.5% fcf yield. I have no idea how it got to that number but I have been checking with latest 10k and last quarter and the yield simply does not get over 2.5%.
Even when I use the numbers you showed on the video ($2000 fcf / $78.74B) is still a 2.55%.
I hope this comment is helpful

Regarding Google's stock-based compensation, my mindset is either way they will incur a cost that ultimately affects cashflows: either they pay out more in cash as a cost to retain and hire new talent instrumental for the operation or they pay via stock; does it really matter which option they choose to the investor? Just thinking it through.

Would be very interesting to a stock chart comparing the growth in net free cash flow less stock based compensation and see how the latter measurement compares to the growth in a stock's price compared to other methods of stock investing. Was sorry that the author did not do the same analysis for a stock I know if one of his favorites -- Texas Roadhouse. However, since he says in other videos that that company has been conservatively run I would say that it has a net increase in free cash flows (operating income less stock based investsing so it would have an A or B rating.
I hope the author, Carlson, does what I suggest he do above to see if there is any correlation between net free cash flow less stock based compensation to see if it is a good predictor of a growing or negative growth in stock price.

Just a small caveat Joseph... Tesla wasn't hiring when the SBC was high it was because Telsa was recognizing that Elon Musk was hitting his Stock Based Compensation Incentives... now that his major package has been accounted for Tesla should have a very consistent SBC... unless Musk gets a new compensation package.
