They moved to Kitchener Ontario
Cutting the union saves costs. The union was the only difference.
No there are hundreds of companies that operate in QC with unions. Amazon was the only difference because theyre too scared to let a union get a foothold. If they unionize in qc they might convince the ontario warehouses to unionize, then the western new york warehouses, then the midwest and god forbid amazon gives that much power to the workers
Yeah, Bezos needs a new super yacht.
@grege5074 maybe because QC union is shtthole corrupt
@@Optimistprime.The Union Boss Needs A Mansion 🎉
@@Optimistprime. No he already has the yacht but you know fuel is costly. And he needs that extra money to fuel it...
another example of the high cost of a union driving a company out of a Province
Its a shame that the consumers of Quebec have to suffer due to the greedy workers unionizing. They had good paying jobs but they wanted more than they were worth.
Kudos to amazon for standing up to blackmailers I mean unions.
At the same time, Amazon is expanding in Egypt. I'll leave the floor to others to provide comments
No one has the fortitude to say the vraie raison companies are pulling out of La Belle Province.
It's because of syndicate !!
Only someone that doesn’t pay rent would say it’s just a job
25% tariff not even in place.
In Quebec don’t buy Alberta oil, so enjoy your socialism
Fun fact majority of employees are endian not Canadian……….
Amazon does what it wants
Quebec aka French people have a thick head they learn hard wat
Help them find work in construction is crazy 😂😂😂😂
I'm surprised Amazon was even allowed to leave.
How do you like your union now? I approve of this move. Just awesome.
Wake up, how much does the company have to make. It’s disgusting…
@@1999zrx1100 it's business! Amazon is not a charity.
Class traitor
I live in Quebec, always order from Amazon and will continue to do so > I totally approve their move! They were good to their employees here but such a shame the staff got greedy! Now they have no job! Oh well you reap what you sow!.
@@janine-Saved-By-Grace-Alone OK jeanine we get the point
Don’t bite the hand that fists you
"we are all depressed and no one feels like working"...hmm, maybe THAT is the problem?
Are you mentally challenged? They don't feel like working cause they got LAYED OFF
So you've never been told that you're being laid off
So... was unionizing worth it.
I feel sorry for the employees who didn't vote to unionize and are now unemployed.
The Canadian government can create an exit tax specifically for Amazon
Amazon online should be blocked in Canada until they pay Canada $1 million a day in fees to sell in Canada. All foreign online companies should pay a fee to sell in Canada as it is destroying our retail stores. They currently don't pay a cent.
No they shouldn't and it's not their fault that many Canadians would much rather deal with foreign businesses as the local ones are just not up to par.
Socialism like yours is killing Canada. Investors won't pay a s* to Canada; they would instead invest in other countries, and you will pay twice in your local store.
😂😂😂😂 unhinged take
@@shauncameron8390 Exactly! Retail stores are far mor greedy selling the same items for double the price in this economy, and with rude customer service and slow delivery with no return policies. Right! No thanks!!
This should have sent a shockwave for Amazon workers throughout the Western Hemisphere.
They all should have went on strike until, Amazon changed their decision in Quebec.
Amazon needs to know that their workers all work on the same accord….
2,000 Employees Can Work For The Unions Now🎉
lol
This is why unionizing is not always the best solution !!
So the employees should just stick with the status quo and just let the company continue to abuse and exploit them? Give me a break.
@@jjrod2988
Either start your own business or find another place to work at. They worked for Amazon by choice.
@@jjrod2988 Quit and look for work elsewhere. Nobody owes you anything.
Quebec is cursed, companies always leave Quebec, nothing new.
Amazon finally found out
How easy it is to deal with
Le Québécois……
Bye bye
Au Revoir
get the union in and the prices go WAY WAY up just like they did when the tried to get into walmart
You will be more depressed without equalization payment
It's ok we don't need it lol , we will bill you for the use of our ports and charge you if you want to transport anything or pass a pipeline through our province
won't survive 1 day without being part of canada...just look at the mess in France...port?where all the stolen cars go to 😂
won't survive one day without Canada..that port you mentioned is where all the stolen cars go through
Pipeline was cancelled because of Quebec..
Jeff Bezos needs a new rocket ship.
It’s good time start another startup venture similar to Amazon in Quebec.
Let the union pay their bills now.
For 8.00 you lost your jobs . Wow . This won’t be the last company there are many more to come . Quebec separatists French only . You can’t have big- American companies come in and you make up the rules . .
To all the bootlickers in the comments, Amazon can afford to pay their drivers benefits and salaries, they just prefer having workers not take bathroom breaks
Of course it’s because of the unionization. Just like when California raised minimum wage many people got laid off.
mostly temp foreign workers will lose job and Justin has promised not to renew them anyway--as that would fix the housing crisis.
Maybe that is part of the real reason they are closing. Not wanting to pay Cdn's a living wage.
Union sucks. Union made high cost for most companies and took benefits for themselves, not all employees. Most Unions operate like family business. Amazon has their right to change business model.
Just wait until self driving cars and trucks come into play
Not if they have random accidents all the time 🎉🎉🎉🎉
They have cameras all over them. Your "random" accident will probably land you in prison.
@@bubba842 god hates cowards. Good luck
Time to abandon Amazon anyway.
Enjoying socialism
Are they gonna reimburse the money we gave to build those Amazon buildings
They should kick Amazon out of the Country .
That's a Quebec issue caused by their socialism. Let's them deal with that.
2:13 "Amazon ... is a private company" Did the Premier actually say that? Last time I checked Amazon is a publicly traded company
Private as in not in the public sector.
Publicly traded on the stock exchange does not mean a public entity.
@@bubba842 i know he was implying that but most people I know refer to “public company” on the street as a publicity traded company
Imo this use of the word private is promoting negative connotations to private sectors
