Honestly I would stick with traxxas. I have 2 slash 4x4's and a 2wd and love them all! There are so many aftermarket parts for them and they really are great trucks!
invento 123 I've got a slash 4x4 and 2 2wd's, a hcg and lcg, they're all awesome and I wouldn't think to get anything else!! Just picked up a Robbie Gordon hummer body for them, the old one, it's sweet too! I'll be getting that new bumper though for sure!!
Told myself I'd buy one and not modify it - 13 days later now on a 3 cell LiPo, Castle creations brushless and ESC, LCG Chassis, Proline suspension kit and wheels. These things are addicting and the most fun money pits.

My first "major" RC was the Tyco Bandit. I loved it for 2 main reasons, my dad had an old Chevy pickup we used to ride in the back in (80s babies) and the Bandit reminded me of the (Nissan?) Pickup Marty was gifted in Back to the Future after everything was rectified. This Raptor RC is pretty dope though.

Traxxas I feel you need to completely update the slash platform, new body's are cool and all but I think it's time for solid axles instead of full suspension set up

After watching the video, we are very impressed with the overall look of the model, and believe it's sleek design makes a great impression on the field. We have attempted to run Helion 1/10 scale trucks similar to this, and never get these kind of results. Traxxas has proved itself with many years of productive models, and this one has really taken over for realism. We hope to purchase this model soon, with great expectations. Dear TRAXXAS- please make a JEEP Willly's and wide body/big Wrangler version as well. This is awesome, but you can't deny us a JEEP! I've been a Traxxas fan for over 10 years- one day I'll be able to afford these top level RC vehicles- the luxury of RC. =D

40 weight shock oil is best improvement you can make to the Slash! It really helps with dampening and does help to slow down body roll somewhat.
