Finally some common sense with MC-4s. From the appearance and the weight they look like really good quality. A bunch of those on Bungaloha's roof would ... hmmm...? Mahalo. 🍍
Finally the solar panel companies start working with you. 😂 Else there would be a great mismatch between all those free batteries and the available panels.😂
I bought 4 of them last week when they had them on sale for only $49.99 each and they also gave me $50 off for the new customer. i get about 90W output from each panel, a good looking panel indeed and i also like the easy-release MC4.
them panels look real nice. love the output under rainy conditions . love them MC4 connectors. the MC4 I got came in a kit with crimping tool and some plastic wrenches and a diss connect tool. some of them hard to take apart. great price. always some head room with that max array voltage. cold panels with a blast of full sun can make a voltage spike . also when battery get full and MPPT cuts back the input voltage will rise as current drops. well looks like the fire danger is over now. it was real bad a few months back. had to shut the grid down for safety.
These panels are pretty nice for sure. It was so dark today, but still kept everything charging pretty well. Yes, some MC4's are monsters to disconnect, but these were so easy. Love that quick release. Got to build another array, and tie up a couple more for a more ambitious test. Wish you were here to guide me! Glad you're out of fire danger...always a little nerve wracking in those conditions. You couldn't start this jungle on fire here with a blowtorch it's been so wet! Aloha brother!🤙
I don't know. Looks can be deceiving. About 3 years ago I bought several 200 watt panels from a well known company. I noticed what appeared to be a drop in power production. I attributed it to passing clouds. It seemed to get worse so I went up on the roof to clean them off. Upon close examination I saw what appeared to be thin cracks in a couple of panels. So, I decided to take them down and inspect them. Lo and behold I noticed that most of the panels had the same problem. So, I took them all down and what I found was very troubling. The junction box on two panels had detached. Three panels had bubling in the white backing sheet, and all of them had crazing. Some to a much greater extent than others. The crazing was not on the glass, but was the thin wires that connect each individual cell in the panels. To make a long story short, the panels were prematurely degrading and failing. So, I would be careful about what you buy and take the long warranties with a grain of salt.

Yes, those MC4's are so much better! Some of those others put a blister on the finger tips trying to get them to disconnect! 🤣 Aloha brother!🤙

Great video 💯
Mahalo!🤙
I would like to see the performance over a cloudy day and a discharged battery. Just to see what they can do.
I'll try to get that out soon! Mahalo for the suggestion! 🤙
