@@mckennaisaperson4058 For me, I interpret it as 'freedom is a possibility' while showing the dead versions of the other characters representing how their death was a form of freedom. A 'May death be kinder than man' type of sentiment. But in Curly's injured state, he can't even invoke the right to die. Just as he can't say no (to anything, really; to continuing to live, to getting his leg chopped off and fed to him, to anything Jimmy tries, etc.), he's physically incapable :( Let me know if I should clarify further, because upon rereading my own comment, damn does it sound confusing xD
