⚠ For Question 5, choice B should say, "AM going to." I said this, but I didn't write "am" on the screen. (A big thank you to @thebhaskarjoshi for noticing this! 😁)
Thank you very much for making this video. It is awesome and pedagogically rare. I have often taken tests to improve on RUclips but this one offers explanations right after you answer. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Your lessons are exceptionally good. What makes them exceptional is your explanations which are brief and to the point, but without omitting any important point. You have the uncanny ability to predict what the learner wants to know. Thank you very much. But your videos are fewer, aren't they?
Dear Madam. How's your life? Actually I know English language little bit, I like talk with others but I am feeling shy, please can you help me, how i do it?
The number 4 - I used the article "The" as it is used in French or Romanian. In French and in Romanian the article must be present: Les pommes sont chères ... Merele sunt scumpe ... I observed that the articles in English are often used differently than in other languages. The number 5 - there was missing the word "am" and this confused me, Gina. Should probably be "am going to" Thank you, Gina. Very useful.
My score is 10/24 which is not good at all. But this class reveal to me that I have a lot to learn. I really appreciated the way you presented the lesson - Great moment - It encouraged me to go forward and improve my skill. So thank you so much...
Each one of your lessons that I've watched, makes me feel more confortable to learn in order to master english. Throughout this lesson, wich is wonderfully explained, I learned a lot. Thank you teacher for your precious time!
Hi Gina, thank you so much for your lessons ! I'd like to ask you for more detailed lessons about Subjunctive Mood, Possessive Adjective plus Gerund and Negative Inversion.
I got 20 correct answers. thank you for your videos. It helps me a lot to build a solid foundation for my English. I like your videos, I can' t wait for your next video.
I got 23 correct out of 24. However, there is one mistake in number 20 that I'd like to discuss with you. I guess that the right sentence should be this one: "If I had known that you had ordered food last night, I wouldn't have made dinner." because this sentence uses the correct grammatical structure for the third conditional (past hypothetical situations). The verb tense consistency is maintained with "had known" (past perfect) and "had ordered" (past perfect). Number 20 is incorrect because it mixes verb tenses: "had known" (past perfect) and "ordered" (simple past). I love your videos!!! I learn a lot from them all.
Hello there! When there is a subordinate clause inside the “if” clause, the tense of the subordinate verb is flexible. In everyday speech or less formal contexts, native speakers typically use a simple past verb in subordinate clauses, as long as the timeline of events is clear. It’s possible to use “had ordered” here. However, “ordered” is the more common choice because the context (last night) provides enough clarity. Keeping the second past perfect verb would sound a bit unnatural and extremely formal to most native speakers. Another example: “If I had known that he was famous, I would have asked for his autograph.” In this context, “was” is the only possible choice here. “Had been famous” wouldn’t make sense in this context. Thank you so much for watching my lessons, and for sharing your passion for grammar with me! (I love grammar too ☺️)
I got 15 points out of a total of 24. Do you think my level is good, professor? Thank you very much for these wonderful and useful videos. I wish you success and great success in your work.❤❤❤❤

It was a good chance for me to test myself, i got 26/24. I hope if you do a lesson on articales, past modal and last 4 in the last list. Thanks a million
Hi mam you are excellent teaching English speaking questions and answers it's awesome how to ask question and how to give answer your method of teaching English speaking is admirable and laudable because we becoming brilliant and polite in English language because of your experience of teaching thank you so much
I think that there was a mistake in question number 5 I ..... going to ❌ I am.... going to ✅ You forgot putting am after I in the sentence In general great job , keep on 👍👍
You’re right! Someone told me only a few minutes after I uploaded the video, but it was too late ☹️ This is why I need to hire a professional editor 🤣🤣
I got 23 out of 24 questions correct! I had one problem with understanding question 15. in fact, it was a little confusing to me, as I see no difference at between the causative verbs "allow" and "let". For me, both them are correct. It doesn't matter if I say "the manager won't allow us to bring our dog to the hotel" or "the manager won't let us bring the dog to the hotel".
That’s an AMAZING score, wow!! You’re right, there’s only a small difference in the formality. “Let” is generally used in more casual, everyday situations. So, “The judge allowed the witness to testify.” But, “My mom didn’t let me play video games.” 🤣 Of course, there is some flexibility depending on the context.
Hwy there! How you,re doing? I was wondering If you could help us out with more examples using possessive adjetives+ gerunds. Please! It will help us think in English.. Are these sentences correct? i really appreciate my mom´s teachings. Your leaving early was a wise decision. My crying made her sad. We appreciate your helping us!
All of those sentences are great examples!! I would say that there’s a small difference between “teachings” and “teaching,” but both options are acceptable in this case. “Teachings” sounds more formal, like something from an authority figure (como “la doctrina” 😁).
Looking for a level less that A1, I want to learn the first principles of the English Language, beginning with the letters and their pronouciation and building very simple sentences! Can you help me or tell me where to find help?
I could pass B1 with no mistake, but 1-2 loss in B2/C1, so I believe I'm on B2 level. Last time another Y-Tuber classified me as B2, so it's confident. In C1/C2 I have many concerns about my ability. Some questions were solved grammatically, but I'm not sure in sentence point of view, So I need to challenge for C1/C2 level for now. Do you agree?
B2 is a fantastic level! I consider a B2 speaker to be fluent. I think the biggest difference between a B2 speaker and a C1/C2 speaker is the ability to identify very subtle differences in words, phrases, and intonation patterns. This will become easier with more listening, reading, and having conversations with native speakers. It seems like you're already on the right path to C1/C2, so keep up the great work! 👏😁
@@yourworldinenglish I don't care about my English level, but I want to focus how I speak and/or use English in public. I'm not good at keeping proper expression on each case of my living scene. Hi there! Yes, humor is one of the most difficult things to understand in another language. Many times, jokes are a reference to something in recent popular culture, or perhaps something historical. Either way, many jokes require a more nuanced understanding of the cultural context surrounding the joke. That’s a great idea for a future video! I have an idea in mind, but I need some more time to figure out how to explain it in an interesting way 😂
