( How to start an Electrical Business )
Lykke til med å lære deg norsk :) "ØY" also can be used like you might use "OY!" like; -hey you there! if you try to get someones attention.
Tusen takk! Jeg tror du kommer til å like episode 3! 😁🇳🇴
@@corymac Looking forward to it!
Miss you already 🥺
It’s not you, it’s me 🥹
What a legend, looking forward to seeing it all mate
Nick, I know what you can do with your spare van!
Nick you should consider a acquisition with OY electrical under the Bundy Group
He's just looking to beat you at the "Who can get the most free stuff" race...
Find the thumbnail Easter egg to win!!….. (I have nothing to give if you win, but you’ll get a lot of satisfaction I’m sure )
I know I know!
Cheeky box of Pringles behind the tree 🤤
Best of luck on your new journey Cory and been saying this from months n months why couldn’t you do it on your own, you have all the gears the firm required.
Pringles for LIFE!!!!
Pringles
in Danish, "Øy" (although we spell it "øj", but it's pronounced the same), means a whole bunch of things, from "hi" to a sigh to a swear, and so on. It's pretty much a filler word, but if we saw it on a van here it'd be equivalent to shouting "hey there" at everyone you drive by ;) Still a better name for an electrical business than many I've seen around the world
Cory I feel like we are exactly in the same boat and I’m gonna love learning from your videos. Your gonna smash the RUclips scene aswell.
I see a colab one day soon
Good to see you’ve made the leap and gone out on your own. Looking forward to those one liners, crashes, shocks, pipe bursts and more in time!
I wish you the very best of luck Cory. Keep your sense of humour and you will nail it.
Back to this video after 7 months for more inspo. Incredible you’ve come so far, should be proud ❤
Good luck for the future dude, i found you to be the most interesting one of the Artisan team so i can't wait to see what you come up with.
You'll be amazing and your confidence in front of the camera since when your first started in 2020 until now is astonishing. Looking forward to the amazing content.
Good luck Cory - looking forward to the journey!
All best wishes for all you do, wherever you do it, and for the future.
You’ve been an amazing watch at artisan and looking forward to seeing where life takes you. Reward doesn’t come without risk and we’re only here once. Make the most of every day😎 go for it
Great to see you've escaped the beatings from Jordon when the cables weren't straight enough! Sounds like you've got a great start with your contacts and lots of interesting projects coming up, good luck (and hopefully the bruises clear up soon)!
Good for you. Best of luck at the beginning of your new journey...
Fair play Cory looking forward to the journey
Good luck Cory, love your previous content and look forward to your future, going to miss the pairing of you with Ruben!
As an Norwegian fella my self, I have really enjoyed following your journy in Artisan, and see how you guys do Electric work in UK compared to us here in Norway (I got automation education with Electrican on the side )! Will be cool to see your journy International and learn even more diffrent ways! Got stoked when you said you had work lined up in Norway also, will be cool to see your view off how we do it here compared to your UK Norms and standards! And I do appriciate the name ;) Good luck with your new adventures, and I will follow along!
Just glad you are still on RUclips.
From one small independent electrician to another: Good luck, you will make it happen!
If you have a trip to Belgium (region Antwerp) I can always take you to some construction sites of finished houses.
Thanks Jeroen!
Let's get you to the same quality and audience as Jordon (Artisan Electrics) wishing you all the best in your new journey Artisan Electrics will not be the same without you now your Son Reuben will have to work with Lee, John, Luke, and Jordon Can't wait for the next one we are all here for your support
Good Luck
Thanks mate!! 😁👍🏼👍🏼
Cory I feel your pain with the camper. I had to turn my Env200 into a handyman's van. you can do it in a way so it works as both. the up side is when I take the tools out for camping I always find things I though I had lost. Good luck with it.
Wishing you all the best of luck in your new venture
Onto new adventures! Looking forward to it!
Best of luck Cory, remember the “pain of regret is far worse than the pain of failure’ so go for it.
Like most commenting here, I've watched your journey over the past couple of years with Artisan with admiration for the content and the apparent ease that you all have behind the camera. I get the feeling that there is much to come from you and your new ventures, no matter where they take you. The world is literally your oyster and I think we're all going to enjoy coming on your journey with you! This coming from a dude in his early forties, who at around 11-12 years old decided that he was going to be an accountant (and recently, in the last three years, started my own practice from home) rather than an electrician, although, often ask myself if I made the right choice when watching yet another Artisan Electrics (or heaven forbid, other Electricians!), video!
Enjoy the next steps of life's journey! 😃
Good luck Cory. I look forward to watching your journey.
I do love an adventure! Looking forward to it.
Been following Artisan for last couple of years, it's been incredible watching the company and your good self flourish. Sometimes we need an adventure to sink our teeth into, and Øy Electrical sounds like a great idea for you!
Wishing you the very best for what's yet to come, wherever that may be 👍
Thank you so much 😌
Looking forward to seeing your journey, especially the norway part as im a norwegian electrician myself, good luck!
Tusen takk!
Good luck with it all looking forward to seeing more videos.
Good luck Cory, love the artisan time will continue to follow you both keep up the good work
Been following since the start at Artisan, amazing journey and an inspiration to always do quality electrical work!
With your attitude and mindset, you will 100% succeed! Good luck in Norway and all the best to you from Sweden!
Thanks man! 😁👍🏼( tusen takk )
Good luck cory you will smash it 100% , looking forward to your new videos always entertaining and learn something at the same time good luck mate
Thank you for the support 😁😉
Mad respect Cory. You go for it 👍
You will make it kid. Enjoy your trip good times and bad and there will be bad. When you look back when you are older you will know its the best thing you ever did. Wish you well on your journey. Just live it and enjoy it.
Thanks man, I appreciate the comment 😁👍🏼
Good luck Cory. Looking forward to following your new journey 😎
Thanks Richard!!!!
Cory, I was an employed electrician for 19 years and I don’t have a bad word to say about it as my boss was awesome overall. But 4 months ago I went self employed. I went though all the things you said like buying tools, van, public liability insurance etc. It was the biggest decision I’ve ever made. Like you say it’s a scary time for business and only time will tell if we have made the right decision I guess. But you have my respect and I wish you all the best 👍
Thanks mate! I appreciate the comment 😁👍🏼
Good luck in all you do Cory. Onwards and upwards.
Good luck Cory. Hope it all goes well.
Take care Cory and best of luck, you’d always think what if I never left!
I was the same when I left to start on my own many years ago, dreams are there to be made real 👍
Thanks mate! I appreciate it 😁👍🏼
You’ll smash it, same age as me and I’m looking to do the exact same thing on going on my own very soon, in the building industry but not electrical but love watching the artisan videos and now this channel, keep it up
Thanks !!
This is going to be an awesome journey! All the best Cory!
Good luck Cory! Love what you’re doing 👏🏽✨
Only watched Artisan Electrics channel because of you! So glad for you that you've set up on your own. You will smash it pal!! Best of luck 👊👌🙏
Legend! 😁👍🏼
Good luck mate. I'm taking the plunge as well and moving to kick the business up a gear. If you can grow something now, you'll be absolutely flying in the good times!
Thank you🙏🏼
Yep, I knew there was something happening with you and Artisan, I just did not know what.
All the best with the new venture and it will be a pleasure to follow you. I’m sure you will be fantastic,
Good luck and I look forward to the next film, cheers 🍻👍👍👍
Good luck Cory I'm sure your going to make it a huge success.
good luck Cory in your new adventure hope it all works out for you
Thank you!
I’d advise registering your entity with a very generic name, like “Cory Enterprises”. Then under that entity would be your electrical business, or video business, whatever, and you can name that something more specific like Oy Electrical, or OyBoy Video Productions. This way you never need to register a new corporate entity, you can just add DBAs (doing business as) entities under your corporate catch all.
Yeah that's what I was about to say until I saw your comment. Have an official name that's easily given out to people and for payments etc and then you can have 'Trading As...' - something I wish I'd done when I ran my own software business as I picked a silly name that people constantly got wrong. The idea about having multiple bits to the business under the main entity is a really good point too.
It’s a good idea! I might end up with this 😁👍🏼
@@corymac Might? Get moving on it, time’s a wasting… 🥸
Cory congratulations man you will do great
Love you brother, you will be a blazing success in whatever you do 👏🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻
Think I nearly cried when I watched Artisan and you said you was leaving. Your the gift that keeps on gifting with laughter 😃 Good luck Pal, life's a risk anyway.. never a perfect time, but there is time to make it perfect.
Ps made last bit up not gonna lie.
*You're

Thanks for all your support !!😎
Me too. I feel I’m so invested in his success. I had a chance to bump into him at a show and he was so kind and down to earth
Good luck Cory, I'm sure it'll work out for you!
(Don't tell Jordan, but your videos were my favourite on the Artisan channel.)
Thanks😉
good luck man Looking forward to see your videos
I remember watching your first video on Artisan and it's great to see how far you've come. I've been thinking about working for myself too (not a spark) so will be great to see your experiences. Best of luck!
Cory, a lot of incredible businesses are made from recessions. Good luck mate, look forward to watching the journey!
A recession helps to focus the mind and watch what you spend, perfect for a new business.
As a norwegian I'm really looking forward to an outside perspective on how we do the eletrics here in norway, can't wait!
I loved the Norway episode!!!
Good luck Cory - I have enjoyed following your journey to date - as well as seeing you develop a successful business it would be great to see a bit about how you are making use of RUclips too (camera, editing, professional support etc) as I know this would be/is of great interest to many in this social-media frenzy world we live in where having an understanding of doing it right is becoming more and more a need to have with any business ;-)
hope this all works out for you. enjoy the freedom. and looking forward to your next videos.. greetings from a Dutch Electrician....
Good luck buddy. Best time to take risks when you’re young. Worked with so many miserable old gits who never took that brave step.. I’m sure you will be a success 👍
Thank you so much 🙏🏼🙏🏼👍🏼
I'm an AC engineer currently enrolled on level 3 electrics, been debating whether to set up myself and I'm taking this as a sign. Good luck with everything, looking forward to the journey
Thank you and good luck😎
What an inspiration. Good luck 👍
Looking forward to this, I'm sure this is an experience you will smash and achieve great things.
Good luck mate, if your ever in Manchester let me know, I’ll be happy to look at you shyly from a distance 😂
😂will do
Good luck Cory. Loved watching The Artisan videos. It’s great to see a young man with so much enthusiasm and energy going forward with his dreams and ambition. Looking forward to watching the next part of your adventures.
😂thanks
Congrats on starting your own business.
I've started as an independent lift mechanic in the end of 2019 and haven't looked back since.
All the best for your future and may your workload be so that you can choose which jobs to take!
Good luck on the new journey Cory, I wondered why you haven't been on as many videos lately, you're the right age to follow your dreams and build a new business.
You‘ve got my subscription since 0:28 😂
But honestly: I really hoped that you would not leave AE, but I have a feeling that you will do very good and I wish you all the best in the world for your new career!
Can’t wait for all the videos that will be coming 🤩
*You
He will surpass AE in half the time
Thanks Nuser!
I love where this channel is going.
Quality is on point 👌
Thanks a lot!
@@corymac I hope Berlin won't be the only project you'll do in Germany!
We’ll see!
Best of luck bud looking forward to your videos
Great Move can’t wait to see your progress😎😎😎
Cory, fellow sarkyl from South Africa here. I've literally done exactly what you just did. Quit my old job and started to go on my own. Learned a lot watching you over at Artisan Electrics and I'm excited to see where you'll go next. All the best!
That’s awesome man! Thank you 🙏🏼
22 going on 23 in the exact same position mate, industrial time served, last year spent domestic - now venturing out on my own/subbing to contacts made - will be following closely and best of luck to you!
All the best mate! And thanks for the support
Well done Cory, it took me a while to go out on my own but it’s well worth it! Keep your head screwed on and you’ll be fine!!! Well done mate
Mate brave move. 💯 percent you will smash it. Looking forward to your Chanel 👍🤝👏👏👏
Cory, that was a bit silly stripping out your camper to make it a van, you could’ve sold your camper (because people pay fortunes for them) and bought another van and had money left over to buy tools etc.
“Silly boy” Dad’s Army quote. 😂😂
Wasn't it " lovely boy"
It was ‘stupid boy!’
👍🏼
Can't wait to see where this channel goes !!!!
Good luck on your new business start being on you own it’s not so easy as you think long hours ahead ! But will watch your journey
Follow your dreams, I thought you were gonna join a band!! Lol! Over 13 years ago my life changed drastically when I got Lyme disease and became disabled. Do what you can now!!! because you never know when your life is going to change forever.
Good luck mate👍 love all the spark content these days on YT
I’m so glad you have a channel now 😍🎉
🎉
Hahaha! Love this. Bets of luck with your new business. Hope Tradify helps you reach new heights.
Be great to track your process I’m at a similar age and situation. Keep up the good work Cory! Looking forward for the videos
All the best for your business & your channel sir.
Exciting times 👌🏻👌🏻
So awesome!
Good luck, my man! I wish I could travel the world and learn stuff from other electricians, maybe it would make the job more bearable, but alas, I can't do it... Good luck again!!
Congrats and goodluck to ya Cory! It is a dream/goal of mine to do electrical in Hawaii someday, thanks for continuing to inspire the trades!
All the best Cory… you brought a new energy to the Artisan channel and we will miss it there but look forward to seeing it here now.. great initiative…
I'm 100% with you Cory,. You'll make a great success of this new venture as long as you continue to be yourself. Once finance allows, push the boundaries and lets see the maddest things in the most beautiful locations.
I started working for myself when I was 23 and went through the crash of 2008!!! Best of luck man you'll be good!
Good luck Rooster 😎. Sounds like a proper adventure.
Best of luck Cory in your future adventures keep up the brilliant work, I am looking forward to your videos poor old Jordan will miss you.
Cory having seen your work it’s quality all the way. I remember watching Jordan on the tools when he started now he takes a back seat. You got this 👍
I hope it all comes together brilliantly. I'm sure it will.
Good luck!
Good luck with the channel. Not watched the video yet but subbed. I was hoping you had gone out on your own when I was watching the artisan vid. It was that or into the music business!
So excited for this 🙌,
