I recently started on a PServer cause I dont have money for retail, always liked old school MMOs so thank you for making content for beginners as it can be very overwhelming starting a new game. Never played this before and I am willing to give it a shot.
I'd recommend not buying the circlet and just save up copper ore from worms and just make a copper hairpin... its a low enough crafting recipe you should be able to make it after a couple tries. 4 copper ore + 1 fire crystal= copper ingot...... then 1 wind crystal+1 copper ingot= copper hairpin.
even though I knew all that was in the video I enjoyed watching it. A good guide for casual players! One method I liked to do to help get exp and gil at low lvls was focus on killing Bat's in the first cave of king ranperre's tomb. (there is bats and goblins there) The spot is very safe to farm once you learn the spawn points, and you can hand the wings in for a quest to get gil and reputation. Then after that go to the Orc Lands and farm orcs. The Orcish Axe is a great thing to sell over and over again. Another trick to make money, is learn the AH and know the prices, and check things often, like crystals. If there is room for profit on cheap items, buy them and then resell them. Some items are extremely good for this. Also, check items that you can hand in for repeatable quests and if you can buy them for cheaper than the reward you get for the quests, do so. (items you can do this for are Honey, Bat Wings, Beetle Shells, sheep skins, rabbit hides, flint stones, lizard skins, Zinc Ore, Black Tiger Fangs)
bro ty so much, its been over 20 years since i last played this game and cant remember poop lol. there's something nostalgic about playing but just hope the addiction doesnt kick in like last time...
Thank you so much for going to the trouble of making this video. It was extremely handy. Just a bit of feedback. There was at least one spot where the video edit made the questing a bit confusing, such as at 13:05. I know you made this video a year ago but maybe this feedback will be constructive. Thanks again!
I love these videos because I'm having a hard time figuring out which site gives era accurate quest information. Because off the bat I'm making a Hume Bastok, Mithra Windy, and Elvaan Sandy char and doing all the basic quests then sending all the equipment and Gil to the main Hardcore character I'm playing.
So I have decided to make a Hardcore Discord Server and want to make a Lage Hardcore Community for Horizon. Are you interested in doing that with me? If so, message me on discord. Hirovision2320
Love it! I missed this game went on retail and was lost, followed a few guides but felt boring just playing with trusts, hoping this brings group play back up! Starting my BLM now lol
I never played before so I am getting a little lost with some of the video cuts. 22:50 for example, when you talk about fighting the dog. I couldn't find the dog. Otherwise this was really helpful to know what quest I should be picking up in the beginning, thank you!
There is an undead enemy that looks like a dog that spawns at night. It only spawns in a couple of locations so it’s not something that you’re really gonna run around and see everywhere.
New player here, thanks for the video. I went through these steps and also followed the nation mission/quest guides on the wiki. Still trying to figure this game out 😂
Actually, just finished streaming and I am super excited to watch the Dev one that I missed today. I only heard about the server like a week ago lol and I’m super excited.
I have a way better method.. go lvl up outside and outpost vender the orcish axes for like 238g and any other stuff they drop. And sell any black/red/white magic scrolls that new players need on the AH. Congrats. You're plenty rich for all lvl 10 gears and weapons from NPCs and ready for the dunes without running around
@@HiroVisionGaming why? It takes like an hour to get to lvl 5 or 6 to fight them? They are in the ghelba sp outpost if the devs disabled them in the starter zone western ronfare . Gobs drop the spells too in there.
@@lee1130fromtwitter did not know that you could sell them without regional control. regional control is not until the second day. Maybe I’m misunderstanding.
@@HiroVisionGaming I thought you could sell that axe to any merchant npc with or without region control. You might not be able to sell to the dude right at the outpost without region control (I have no idea) but the merchants in the towns should buy it day 1.
This video reminds me of a extremely funny money making trick I used to do In World of Warcraft, that I did for YEARS until I quit the game. I would buy copper rods from a vendor for like 24 copper, and then I would put them in the AH one at a time for 5 to 10 gold. On busy days I would easily sell over 50 of them. I could make a new character on a new server, do this, and make 1000gold quickly before ever leaving town.... I would always laugh at people who found it hard to make gold.
Fuck that lol playing with trusss was lame. The point is it’s a social game. And there’s still mad party’s in all lvling spots, people always lvling sub classes..
even in retail gil always been easy to get.. if you know the tricks... people make it seem like it was so hard, but honestly only casual people who did not invest much time into the game thought it was hard. I have certain tricks, and I ususally can get around 50,000gil on any server before even getting to lvl 10...and im not even talking about using AH to do buy and sell, which is another way to make mass money very easily.

@@ImmortalDraylo I played FFXI when it first came out. It was my first MMORPG and still the best one that I have ever played and I have played probably over 30 of them. After wings of the goddess things definitely changed with the direction of the game. They were putting a lot of time into FFXIV development, and you could tell the writing was on the wall. Once the successor launched, it seems they hoped people would just move over and so they increase the level cap and they made it incredibly easy for people to level. On top of the trust system that had been released, it left the community permanently changed. I miss era, Final Fantasy XI, not Final Fantasy, XI as a whole. uhh naming npcs and not showing their location on the map makes them really hard to find when you just pop to them.

Very helpful not just on Horizon but on Eden too.

I've been playing since release I've never been on a private server what level does it go uo to ?
It is a level 75 era plus private server that starts at chains of Promathia
What about windy?
Check my other videos. There is one for windy.
Awesome!🎉

If you do the tutorial quests, they give you a free coupon for a conquest exp ring. Don't spend cp on the exp rings. Save for gear
Currently that's bugged you need to get the 1200 CP to buy it and when you do the coupon will be consumed rather then your points.
@Stratis 127 sir. I said this 2 weeks ago... it wasn't then lmfao, and I'm sure people are aware and will probably be fixed soon.
