Incredible to watch! This is a dream job of mine, but sadly I'm nowhere near good enough at piano to perform Broadway music (let alone Sondheim pieces!). Maybe I'll find just a conducting job... too bad it seems like most pit conducting jobs also have the conductor playing keyboard 1!
I only did it because I didn't have enough players to do the orchestration justice live. Into The Woods would be amazing to stick conduct! I'm self taught at piano and know enough to get by - give it a go, I'm sure you'll be great!
